This is a nice big dog park, but anyone with fluffy dogs beware! I took our golden doodle here and she was covered head to toe in burrs and dark dirt after only being there for about 20 minutes. It took us about 2 hours to get all the burrs out, not worth that in my opinion! read more

This is the largest dog park I've ever been to. It's secure with double fencing and the space is ample with fresh water fountains for the pups. There is seating under the gazebo for pet parents to watch their pups have fun. The big dogs over 30 pounds are kept from the smaller ones and the big dogs have two huge tubs that I watched larger breeds playing in. I drove to three other dog parks before finding this place, I'm glad we were persistent. read more

It was huge! The biggest dog park I have ever been at. There are two, one for little dogs and one for the big dogs. They supply water for the dogs. Lots of places for you to sit. Easy parking! read more

Went to the large side with my dog, not many dogs here but I love how vast the space is. Lots of dirt patches though. Not well maintained. Definitely wear sneakers. Also, bath/hose is not near the entrance therefore you'll be walking through the dirt patch while your dog is wet after washing your dog which defeats the purpose. read more

This is a very large dog park, with a small dog separator. Plenty of water buckets and trash cans. The reason I'm posting a 4 star, and not a 5 is because I've already picked up 5 piles of poop. Either there are a bunch of irresponsible dog owners, or they run out of bags. Either way, it brings down the experience of the park. Other than that, it has lots of seating and shade. Best dog park in Hillsborough county - people are friendly, watch their dogs and clean up after them for the most part. Floods when it rains but the water breeds love it! A couple of times I've seen people bring in small children to run around with snacks in their hands and this is not a good idea. The dogs will chase them. read more

Love this park! The little dog side could be bigger that's why only 4 stars. Clean and friendly. Safe because it isn't secluded but it does have plenty of trees for shade. A few picnic tables. Lots of dog doo bags available and most people use them. Running water and tubs for cooling down. Squirrels to chase. Rattlesnakes have been spotted, twice that I've heard of in almost ten years, but that's Florida; take care. Go early to beat the heat! Make friends and enjoy time with your dog. read more

I came here about a year or so ago, right after a rainstorm. It was flooded in the middle area, but my dog had a grand time. The dogs are well-behaved here and the owners are paying attention to their pets. I rediscovered this park again today and am so glad I did. We now live closer to it and I'll probably be a regular on the weekends. Even at 1pm on a fairly warm day, there were at least two dozen dogs still there for my 4-year old to play with. The park is large enough that my 14-year old dog could mosey away from the activity without having to interact with other dogs, which isn't her thing. The one comment I'll make that could be a turn-off for some people (but not for us!) is that your dog is most likely going to need a bath after visiting here. Filled kiddie pools are readily available... 'nuff said. ;) read more

This place is great! Lots of friendly dog-people. Lots of open grassy area for run and play. Plenty of shade from the big oak trees. A water area with tubs for cooling off. Most everyone picks up after their pets. (Do your part!) Both a large and small dog sides. Even the small side is huge. read more

This dog park is centrally located between Sligh Ave. & Hillsborough Ave. The parking is sparse, but the park is nice. There are picinc tables to sit at, 2 dog areas, 1 for small dogs and 1 for larger dogs. I guess some small dogs or their owners are afraid of big dogs. The park has a lot of trees, so in the summer, you can find shade! Usually every summer a baby pool shows up and people wash their dogs, yes there is running water and a hose. Having the water also means your dog doesn't get thirsty. The large dog play area is quite big& also good for a human walking workout. Plenty of room to play Frisbee or catch with your 4 legged family member. The people there are always so nice and friendly. Remember, you have a lot in common, because you care enough to go spend time with your dog, a rare, but great breed of humans. Side note: my doctor always goes to the same dog park & on 2 seperates occasions her dog ran up to this gentleman. Long story short, they have been dating for over a year. The park always has plenty of "droppings" bags and garbage cans throughout the park. This park is always clean and we'll maintained. The only negative is that there is no restroom, for us 2 legged critters, so plan accordingly. Do yourself and your dog a favor and spend some quality time playing together at a dog park. Tampa really is a pet friendly city. What's a girl to do? Take her dog out to play and make new friends, as often as possible. read more

Positives about this park - large and small (30 lbs) park offering. large park has a good amount of land, sprayed for fleas weekly. well maintained (short grass, not a lot of moss on ground, bushes and trees trimmed.). tubs for dogs, and a hose for fresh water. Why I won't be back - not in a great area so both times I went I saw a many "bully breeds" and all dogs were intact males. owners seem to be there just to allow their dogs to run, hump, and show aggression without focusing on obedience. water for dogs were just large buckets that are all covered on the inside with the bacteria slime when water isn't removed. read more

I recently moved to Tampa & found this dog park near my home. I've been taking my dog there for a couple months. We started off in the section for smaller pets & have now moved over to the larger dog side. The park in general is a perfect size for dogs, both small & large to run & enjoy themselves. Every person I've met has been extremely pleasant & all seem to really take interest in their own dogs as well as yours. The only downfall I think is the fact that the buckets for water are way too dirty. My dog got sick a couple of times from drinking out of them. Now I either take my own bucket for him & fill it or take him over to the water fountain. The park is, for the most part, always clean & well stocked with bags in case you need to pick an "oopsie" up! I'd recommend this park to anyone who needs someplace to relax while their fur babies get to release some energy! read more

This dog park offers wide open space and lots of shade. It also has a covered area with a picnic table along with other picnic tables spread throughout the park. For the most part the dog owners are attentive to their dog's behavior, however there are a few that allow their dog to dig multiple, gaping holes (2 to 3 feet deep) which causes a hazard for other dogs and their owners. Also be very cautious with a few owners who allow their dog to hump your dog and do not try to intervene. Most importantly, beware of a medium-sized brown dog who attacked two different dogs within a ten minute period of time causing a severe wound to one of them. When the owner, Misty, was approached by the victim's owner, she had a nonchalant attitude and responded, "Maybe you shouldn't bring your dog to a dog park because that's what dogs do." For these reasons I give it a 3 out of 5. read more
