Surprisingly, many of the popular local spots were dirty, disorganized, and showed little discernment in the pieces they took, one shop was filled with junk from IKEA and Target! Then we found PS Consignment Gallery! Their space is actually designed and flowslike a proper furniture gallery, in a way that makes sense, and each item is well cared for. Not only was Raffi and Carlos quick to respond, professional, and super friendly, they made the entire process easy, being the ONLY shop that even offered some sort of service to pick up our pieces. In a matter of weeks, they got top dollar for our pieces, even to our surprise, retaining much of our investment, even after we paid their portion. We are back with our third lot of pieces and couldn't be happier to trust our consignments with them. In a sea of shops that will take anything for a profit, they actually care about the furniture and the experience, in our experience.

PS HomeBoys had always been on my radar and the moment I walked in I understood why. I absolutely love the vibe of this place. The showroom feels like the perfect expression of the Palm Springs design spirit. It is bright, colorful, creative, and unapologetically mid-century modern while still feeling fresh and current. The shop was founded by interior designer Jeremy Taylor together with his partner Niels Kosman, and you can really feel that designer's eye throughout the space. Every piece feels intentional, from the furniture and lighting to the artwork and wallpaper. Nothing feels random or mass-produced. It feels curated. Palm Springs has such a strong design identity and PS HomeBoys captures it perfectly. Walking through the store feels like stepping into the kind of home you see in the iconic desert architecture that made this city famous. It is easy to imagine how these pieces would work in a stylish desert home or even a vacation rental, which makes sense because they also help stage and design homes around the area. I love Coco Rose Home as it's my favorite coco rose store out of them all. Coco rose is a long time established brand in the desert and they are most notably known for their clothing and accessories stores throughout the desert. However, last year they opened up their own home goods and decor shop which is amazing! Located in downtown La Quinta it's easy to find. It's not far from their coco rose clothing store, just a 30 second walk past, closer to the street. It's a decent sized home goods store and perfect for shopping while downtown. This store has larger home goods items but also has cute little accessories and gifts. There are a nice range of items here and the prices definitely vary from moderate to pricey, just depends what you're looking for. I've come in for small gifts such as napkins, cards, and trinkets all under $20. Most recently though I came and bought a $500 beautiful skull head art for my home. So like I said, there are ranges and something for everyone. The store is always well kept and the layout seems to go by different themes and styles which helps you while your shopping. The staff are always super nice and sweet here. Very attentive but also give you space to look around. I really appreciate the friendliness of the staff and their willingness to help once you find something you need or have questions about. It's always great to support a local small business.
