Quaint. Quiet. Peaceful. Off-the beaten path. Great spot for families. Good spot for couples. Has nice amenities to enjoy your time on the beach. Walkable to several shops and restaurants. Have not interacted with any people here yet and this is our third day. It's sort of take care of yourself and come see them if there are any issues. Everything has gone along swimmingly. It saddens me to have to give Palm Tree Villas even one star. Unfortunately, due to Covid, I had to cancel my upcoming April vacation. Despite their 15-day cancellation policy, which I have in writing and is posted on their website, PTV is refusing to refund my deposit. Wendy is the most unprofessional business owner I have ever dealt with. Rude and belligerent, she has been nothing short of nasty. Furthermore, the deposit isn't the only issue we've had. Upon our booking, PTV failed to send me a confirmation. After hounding them for 6 months I finally received one in an email, but the issues didn't end there. My extended family booked a room as well, as this was intended to be the beginning of a yearly family vacation tradition. PTV confused our bookings by double charging my brother-in-law. It took two weeks and a litany of emails just to get it situated. I cannot believe this place is still in business with the way things are run. A nightmare that still isn't over!!!!! I just finished a long weekend at this cozy Anna Maria Island getaway. There are a number of units surrounding a pool at this villa located just half a block from the beach in Holmes Beach. I rented the S21 unit, a suite that was off to the back. It is advertised as out of the way and I certainly felt like I was staying in my own place. The unit had its own furnished patio, available beach chairs and umbrella, and even an outdoor heated shower! The one room suite had a kitchenette and full bath with a walk-in shower. I loved the pale yellow decor, peaceful for my weekend to recharge my tired batteries. I also appreciated the many thoughtful items: a combination safe in the closet, an iron and board, a broom and dustpan (the beach comes home with you ;), a guest book for recording your trip, a remote control for the A/C, and many more. The laundry room had extra linens and towels and the room had two beach towels ready for use. The kitchenette had a double hotplate, toaster, full fridge, microwave, and a Keurig! There were enough dishes, glasses and pans to take care of me. I would suggest they add some spray oil as the stainless and nonstick pans still need some help. At the end of your stay you are asked to take the dirty linens to the laundry room and take out the trash. Not your normal hotel request but I didn't feel like it was an inconvenience. I wish the owners had been by at some point to check up on me but they were never around when I was home. Your room is ready and open for you with check in procedures taped to your door. It is such a casual and trusting thing that you feel a little like family. Don't pass this place by! I could walk to the downtown area and the free trolley has a stop just a block away. AMI is the best and Palm Tree Villas fits right in. read more

Very disappointed in my most recent visit to the PTV on AMI. As a long time customer, I have seen the changes over the past few years and this visit was the worst. The grounds are messy and unappealing, sheets are worn and thin, towels are stained and we had so much dirt on the fan over the bed that a lot of that dirt ended up on our sheets when the fan was turned on. Phone calls to staff, before and during our stay, were not answered or responded to; and, on key past two visits, no one was ever around to deal with any issues a customer might have. Only two of the villas were occupied during our stay; and the other customer had to clean the pool of leaves before using. Bring back Ashok and Peggy Sawe----they know how to run a hotel! read more

This was our 3rd year to stay at the Palm Tree Villas, and we were terribly disappointed. I understand the Villas is under new ownership, but it appeared to us to have gone down hill quite a bit. I did hear they were getting ready to do some remodeling, so perhaps there is a chance they will be better than they were this trip, but we are not going to give them another chance. The manager, Gabby, was difficult to work with, argued with some in our group about reservations, overcharged someone by hundreds of dollars and informed her "to not come back, they didn't need her." I canceled a 2nd reservation within the 2 week period, however, she only credited me half the money, unlike the previous owner. Our unit, #23, was not nearly as clean as it had been in previous years, the carpet in the bedroom was disgusting and the kitchen was very poorly equipped. It was obvious that the back patio had not been cleaned in a very long time, the leaves were 3" thick and it was a mess. Hopefully they will become more organized and do a better job, but because of the way we were treated and the condition of the property, we will not be back. read more

We recently enjoyed another wonderful stay at Palm Tree Villas! We were in a one bedroom villa that had more than enough space for my husband and I. Amazing stay! Amenities are great and staff is friendly. If you are looking for a place to take the family, look no farther. Price is completely reasonable and this is by far the best beach in the area. Room came with beach chairs, umbrellas and toys for the kids. I will definitely be a repeat customer. read more

Our two night brief stay at PTV was very nice! The new owners are remodeling units and seem very interested in pleasing their customers. They were very friendly! We stayed in suite 21 with 2bdr/2bath and enjoyed it tremendously. The unit was clean and well supplied with everything we needed. One of the bedrooms in this unit still had carpet but the owner said they would be changing over to vinyl tile soon which the other bedroom already had. The fridge was VERY cold, my one issue with it was that it smelled like someone before us had fish in it. So I didn't want to eat any of the ice because that smell is nauseating to me. The pool was extremely enjoyable in its tropical foliage surrounded environment. They have beach chairs and accessories to take and enjoy. Though we did not make it to the beach this time due to family visiting, it is only one block away and is in a nice area of AMI. Other than that we are planning to stay there again the next time on AMI. We have already recommended it to friends. read more

Our second time to stay at the palm tree villas. Exceptionally clean . Two minutes to the beach. New grills and on site laundry facilities.No noise at all. And did I say clean. We are particular about cleanliness and the villas pass all the tests. We are signed up for next year. read more
