Had a great breakfast, which was quickly prepared and was as ordered. We ordered the fried eggs and bacon. The toast was fabulous in taste.

This was a very good surprise. We tried this place because where we usually go when we visit PR was a little father than we could visit before our flight home. We got 5-6 different pastries, it cost around $18. These pastries were the kind of melt in your mouth, little ray of sunshine in your day type. Everything was absolutely delicious and so so filling, especially the chocolate cream filled croissant like one. We were helped by a very kind man who recommended the best pastries to try. Nice bakery near Palmas del Mar with friendly staff and plenty of parking space. We came for breakfast on a weekday and had a good experience. Breakfast platters are fairly priced and well made. My egg omelette with everything (veggies, cheese, bacon and toast) was delicious. Portions were good and everything was served hot. They offer pancakes, egg platters, sandwiches, chicken and fries, hamburgers, cakes, pastries, coffee, and many other treats. Everything at very good prices. They also have little market to get last minute provisions. Palmas Bake is a humble establishment, serving hot food and treats at good prices. read more

This place has been her many many years. By 2004-2008 they had very good customer service and great sandwiches. Now a days (2023-24), neither the sandwiches nor the customer service is good. The place is going down. read more

This bakery is a must for me anytime I'm in Puerto Rico. The coffee is amazing and the breakfast sandwiches with fresh baked pan sobao are way better than I imagined. My first time here I made the mistake of just getting a pan sobao tostada while my boyfriend got an egg and cheese sandwich with pan sobao. Although the tostada was great, the breakfast sandwich was toasted just right and filled with melted cheese and scrambled eggs. Aside from great food, they have very friendly and attentive staff. I love to purchase items from their market to take a little part of Puerto Rico to Miami and the staff always takes the time to make recommendations. read more

This is a great bakery and deli. The location is convenient and the staff were helpful. I had a roasted turkey sandwich on pan de agua. It was filled with pieces of fresh roasted turkey, lettuce, tomato and cheese. The coffee was really hot but tasted great. Their pastries are inviting. The have everything from donuts to flan. Love this place! Super staff! Great sandwiches, and breakfast food. Farina was ridiculously good but you have to get there early for it because it goes fast. The staff is wonderful and make a point of getting to know you. I went everyday for 5 days and they were always happy to see me. I even got a hug on our last day. This bakery was recommended to us by local relatives during our stay in Palmas Del Mar. We started with some tasty breakfast sandwiches and cafe con leche. Having eaten local bread for many years over many visits, this bread was superior to most others we have tried in the area, with a crispy crust and soft inside. We bypassed other spots to come back for their cafe con leche and we will be back for more sandwiches on their wonderful bread. We were surprised to encounter an on-site chef preparing a daily selection of local specialties. The plantain soup was just delicious, just one of the three daily soups usually offered. We were given a sample of crab and breadfruit soup that was also very good, but the plantain was our favorite. If you are staying in the area or live here, this is truly a local gem. We saw locals taking food to go, but the bakery also has a lot of seating. It looks like they are open quite late and seem to serve prepared food/sandwiches until 9pm. Don't ignore their baked goods and sweets. We also enoyed our sugared doughnut and guava pastry. read more

This place rules. I have been staying at Club Cala Palmas Del Mar and it's right down the street, with great prices, and delicious food. Also, they have a big variety of drinks and convenience store items. I am from Texas and I am used to big portions and a lot of well-prepared meats, and I was still very impressed with their tripleta and cubano sandwiches! $6.75 gets you basically an entire loaf of toasted bread stuffed with three kinds of meat, cheese, pickles, lettuce, tomato, onion, etc. DEFINITELY worth trying... I did and have come back five times in less than two weeks! read more

We stayed in Palmas Del Mar and came here for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised to find it was also a convenient store and grabbed drinks and a donut while we were there. The window of pastries looked amazing but the donut wasn't THAT great. I got a chocolate donut and felt the chocolate glaze lacked something. As everyone recommended, you absolutely need to get the tripleta. The sandwich is ginormous but also incredibly delicious/flavorful. I went with a basic club (ham, egg, cheese) which was fine but it turns out 'pan especial' is simply toasted white bread. You'll notice many locals here which is probably a good sign, though I would say that the slow service was frustrating. Waiting about 30 minutes for sandwiches felt excessive. read more

I have eaten at the bakery everyday for breakfast while staying at Palmas del Mar. They have great massive sandwiches for 4 dollars and delicious puerto rican pastries. I recommend trying a quesito and tripletta sandwich. Warning: the sandwich is huge and I split it with another person. If u want empanadas or other fried things for breakfast, then there is a food truck in the same Plaza that sells them. read more

They are not anymore what they used to be a few years ago. They have like a mini-market inside, but the last time I just went to have breakfast with my hubby and didn't like the food. He had scrambled eggs that had some black burned parts. I had a turkey sandwich that was just normal. We also ordered swiss cheese toasts that had no taste. I don't think we are gonna go back again, well, maybe for pizza. read more

After searching and finding this place with good reviews on this site we decided to try it for breakfast since we were staying at Palmas del Mar. The sandwiches were good and the bread fresh but all went downhill when we decided to try the sweets. First they are expensive and then they were all old and dry. The lady changed for two other " fresh" options which were decent. Decided to give it another try and when we checked them the doughnuts were old and dry and the worse was a guava pastry that had black mold inside. With that ,even when the sandwiches are good I wouldn't recommend this place. read more
