Michael has been doing my taxes for the last three years, and I have no intention of changing that pattern. Here are the reasons he is awesome: 1. I'm a graduate student with all sorts of strange income issues--fellowships, stipends, blabedy blabedy. Every year, my income situation changes, and every year Michael meticulously accounts for my finances. One year, something minor was different on my W-2, and he actually got in contact with someone who works at the UCI Financial division to ask them what it was all about. Conclusion: Michael works hard. 2. I once tried to do my own taxes (as a graduate student), and I thought I was going to owe a ton of money. My roommate referred me to Michael and he helped me account for all sorts of school-related expenses and then got me back $700 or something! Conclusion: Michael knows what he's doing. 3. Maybe this is because I make so little money (actually, I know it is), but every year I pay him no more than $70 for him to do my taxes. Conclusion: Michael's tax services are affordable. 4. Your tax documents come back to you in PDF form!! 5. I just got off the phone with him, and he let me know that he'd be willing to take a second look at my Mr.'s tax documents FOR FREE. Conclusion: Michael's just a nice guy. Oh yeah, and 6. Apparently, they just got certification to do all of the things a DMV does. Are you serious? Do yourself a favor and go see Michael about your taxes soon. It's not a matter of pride--it's just that he spends half his year reading about changes in the tax code, and if you are in any other profession, you can't compete with that. Trust me. Pretty long wait which was expected but also terrible receptionists who do not go by first come first serve they will file your forms once they are done welcoming people in, I had 2 families get called up before me even though I was waiting about 25mins before both families, Michael Palmer is awesome to go file with but other than him the staff is terrible they talk on their phones and with each other instead of working with the costumes . 3 stars strictly for Michael Palmer . I was a customer for a few years. Everything is great unless you have an issue. Staff made an error and put off on me to correct - once I complained I was treated rudely, hung up on twice and told off. Another issue occurred today where I complained with how outdated their customer correspondence / authorization process is and the same person did same thing and I was hung up on again. Very unprofessional behavior. Thank goodness I cancelled both my auto and home policies with them finally as of today. I never received an apology from the owner which is a sign. I cannot treat my customers this way and expect to retain them. Plus, I'm saving $ with another extremely reputable carrier.
