Closed when the website said they'd be open. It's 10:50 am on a Sunday. Disappointing. I won't return

I had family visiting from Montreal and thought what a wonderful experience I'd give them. Well. The pancakes in one of our servings were burnt on the underside. The sugar on snow was just syrup on ice. We were told they were not boiling that day. We were still charged the full price. read more

We stopped by Palmer's on our way up to Burlington. I was expecting a little more here's-how-we-make-the-syrup, but instead Palmer's seems to function mostly as a casual restaurant with not enough picnic tables. I had a maple hot dog, that wasn't very maple-y, and some fried dough with maple syrup (a better option for tasting the local maple wares). Syrup-on-snow was also a popular option, as was the maple lemonade. Lots of maple options for those looking to get their maple fix! read more

Great place! Staff is nice owners are friendly and informative and really take pride in their work. I was there for Sugar on snow last year for the first time. Super delicious. Sugarhouse was really cool (literally AND figuratively) and they had a great band. Prices are reasonable. read more

This place is so amazing and picturesque! Michelle gave us an amazing introduction and background of her family business, and a taste of maple syrup infused goodies. Our group wasn't easy as we all wanted our purchases shipped out of state, but the process was seamless. When I received my order and there was a small problem, Michelle was gracious and quickly fixed it for me. The Sugarhouse smells so wonderful you can't leave without buying something! read more

Hospitality! Great people, woman-owned. I called this place in search of maple gifts for friends back home. The owner said they weren't open (off season in late September) but that I could stop by if I was close and she would open up. I drove over and found the barn door ajar, the owner inside waiting for me. We shared hellos and she gave me a brief tour of the sugar house - totally unexpected and awesome. This farm is family owned and was originally started by the first woman maple farmer in Vermont (owner's grandmother). Very cool. read more

We went here when other places were closed on the Sunday after Thanksgiving. We called literally like 20 mins ahead, the owner was super sweet...and explained that while it wasn't prime season, to definitely come by. She opened up the venue for us on that Sunday, and to top it off, was holding a small batch of freshly made Maple cream...still warm.. when we arrived. She answered all of our questions about the maple and we even got to feed the goats that live on the property. I felt like we were on our own private tour. The maple cream was amazing. I cannot express enough how incredible it is when companies go out of their way for customers. I will recommend this place again and again..and I'm excited to return when the fun festivities occur during warmer months. read more

I went to Palmer's Sugar House for the first time this Sunday and had a great time. It was the last run of the season, but they were still boiling. The atmosphere was very friendly and they had some great live music. I got some sugar on snow, which is a classic, and they sold many other maple products at a reasonable price. They were also explaining the boiling process and new syrup grading system to those who were new to it. I really enjoyed it and will be back next year. read more
