We noticed the Winooski Farmers Market while waiting for a table at Sneakers so we strolled…read morethrough. It's nowhere near as big as the Burlington Farmers Market, but still worth checking out. There were a few vendors that we saw the day before in Burlington, but I love a good farmers market! I loved the cute coffee truck, and would have gotten a drink if we weren't heading to the restaurant. I ended up buying a cute card which I'll frame as a keepsake from our trip. The farmers market is every Sunday, 10 am-2 pm, May through October. Definitely stop by if you're in the area or waiting for brunch at Sneakers!

The fresh raspberries were so tasty and fun to pick. The blackberries were minimal on my visit but those that I found were good and flavorful. Not sure of organic, but all berries were pesticide free and oh so tasty. They have roaming chickens in the fields and they were pretty friendly/annoying you as you pick :) Farmer Mike was super friendly and welcoming to his farm. Note that they have Isham Farms on both sides of the road. The berries are up the driveway by the Sugar Shack were they make maple syrup in March/April of each year.

The bride and groom were allowed to bring in all of their own food and beverages, which made for a low-key, easy event. The wedding day included wagon rides through the fields - and another full, fun evening. I can't speak to whether the food and service are recommended/provided through the farm but it was a wonderful, tasty, family-style meal; and, the bartenders and other servers were friendly and fast. Farmer Mike himself is a also very friendly and clearly proud of his beautiful property. Oh, and his berries, honey, and syrup are all some of the best I've had. Overall, I would highly recommend Isham for DIY berry picking with the family or the entire property for an event.

We also bought the orchard apples, maple onion hot sauce, and chili and cheese bread. Staff were so nice here. They offered a chopping board and bread knife so we could cut the bread and apples and enjoy outside in the sun. We also walked around the cafe/shop to the back to check out the brown cows! They were so friendly. Our kids adored Nelson, the farm cat!

I'd be a regular if I lived near the farm or anywhere that they distributed to. Second was a spinach and feta pastry from the Flakey Crust. This was a monstrous pastry. It had to be a few pounds heavy. Absolutely packed with filling. It was pricey at over $15, but the portion size was comparable to two or three regular sized pastries. I have a concern about accessibility of crop cash and EBT use at the Middlebury Farmer's Market…read more I went to the Farmer's Market today with my boyfriend with the hope of using our SNAP benefits to purchase food. Sharon Kerwin was running the booth for crop cash and after trying to process our EBT card, explained that her reader didn't work, despite having successfully completed several transactions before us. She even told us our card must not work. Our Vermont EBT card has over $400 on it, and is working. When I asked her about troubleshooting the issue, she was very rude and refused to help us try and solve our problem. We had to ask other vendors for help, and they even offered to loan us money so that we could afford food. I am very displeased with Sharon's help, she did not assist us, and denied us access to the benefits we have already been awarded, as the EBT card is working. If accessing crop cash at the Farmer's Market is inaccessible, and the individuals running the EBT stand aren't able to correctly process transactions, food access is greatly limited to those that need it the most. I am greatly disappointed in the assistance I received today, I left without being able to purchase any food.
