Awful condition. Awful customer service. Worst course in the area. Will never be playing here again

    Fairway conditions.

Solid course for the price. The course wasn't too long and consisted of a nice hole layout throughout. The bunkers and narrow inlet add a nice degree of difficulty without taking away a lot of shots. Tee boxes and fairways were in "good" condition whereas the greens were "okay." The course also has electric carts which keeps the course slightly more quiet and relaxing. Bar/Grill in the clubhouse area. The ranger was beyond friendly and helped me understand the course before teeing off. I would recommend this course and will be returning soon.

This golf course is the most convenient for my husband and I. My husband has been playing for several years, but I just started a couple months ago. This golf course is affordable, but it's still a nice course, things are in good condition, and the staff is very friendly. We come here at least once a week now... we don't play every round of golf here because we like to switch it up and see different courses, but we like to come to the range here bc of the convenience. The one thing I don't like about the range is that there are a lot of poles in the way... as a beginner golfer I'm especially concerned I'll hit one and damage a club. My husband actually dented his driver on one of the poles just recently.. You'll notice those are always the last spots to fill at the range, and for good reason. On Tuesdays they have a ladies golf clinic at 6pm, which costs $15 and includes all the balls you need. Totally worth it! I'm going to make a point to try and go consistently.

Not a regular golfer but Tushar and I came here to play a round at the recommendation of another Yelp Review on Kilians which said Palmetto was the better choice due to its better maintenance more classic course design and they also have a driving range to warm up. Green fees were $35 / person (25 after 3pm in Winter). I spent an additional unanticipated 19$ to rent a set of clubs because each player must have their own set according to rules of the course. We had planned on sharing Tushar's set and play scramble (aka best ball) but that's not an option here. $8 for a large bucket of balls to warm up at the driving range where we started out at around 2pm. Dispensing the range balls was not straight forward being first timers you entered a code which was printed one of the receipts. Thankfully someone helped us with this. Once ready we went to a club shack at the first hole to obtain our cart, included in the $35 price, and were directed to return by no later than 5:30pm. The driving range closes later but all play on the course ended at 5:30pm which is probably due to winter season. You need about 4.5-5 hours or 6hours if it's busy to complete 18 holes. We started at 2:30 and managed to get through the 12th hole before returning by the 5:30pm. The course has par 5, 450+ yards from the blue Tees and is fairly well marked although we had a few players whom we ran into that wandered onto our greens searching for their poorly hit shots and were a bit bewildered that the flag they were playing to was incorrect. As long as you keep to the booklet it should be fairly easy to figure out where the hole location is. The course is well maintained and designed. Given the location of the canal you must play long or short or loose a host of balls which we found out the hard way. It also has a decent 19th hole to water your dry throats at Sports Grill. Staff were helpful directing us to the 10th hole. Noticed many of the range balls made it over the right fence onto the 10th course which isn't that troublesome as the range balls are all yellow. On the plus side if you pick them up you can hit a few extra balls for free after your game is up. All in all had a great time playing here.

    Bad!

Course was bad and now it is even worse. Tee boxes and greens are not well kept. There are much better public courses to choose from

This is a good course and good value for the money. The front 9 is harder than the back 9 but all the holes are attractive. They do have one of the worst driving ranges I have ever been to. They have a very nice putting practice green. The Sports Grill in the clubhouse is very good. It is a little small, but the food is good, the drinks are better, and the service even better than that. All in all, Palmetto is a fair deal. I have been several times.

Beer, wings, and fries. Can't go wrong with that!

Dope environment. And fun for kids and adukts. Check it out for yourself! While your at it pass by the bar and grab a cold one. Yea that's right they have a sports grill inside as well! Ain't that something.

I definitely disagree with reviews who have said the staff is unfriendly. They staff is definitely welcoming and the price is right. I play there, usually 2 days a week, and have discovered something interesting. If you read Geoff Shackelford's book, Golf Course Architecture For Normal People, you'll discover this course, by virtue of the design, is actually great. We describe it as a British style golf course with palm trees. The course is certainly not PGA Tour length, but the holes each offer a special challenge. We find it a lot of fun to play from different tees to make some holes easier or harder. Sometimes, we'll rotate red, to gold to white. The course design is very memorable and honestly, a course you could play every day and not get tired of it.

Left a Google review for the venue…read more.. I recently attended a wedding here as a guest. I could nit pick (bartender couldn't make a drink for her life) but overall the food and service was good. However, they are getting a one star review. Why? Because after speaking with the groom I learned that this venue forced them to use their "preferred DJ vendor" and this guy SUCKED. I did not want to ruin my friend's wedding by badmouthing their DJ so when I asked what the DJ's name was, he said he did not know but that it was the venue's DJ and that they had to use him So I asked the bride and she said it was DJ FILA (not sure if that is spelled right). So let's talk about DJ Fila... 1 Half the time he wasn't even in his booth. I work in the industry and being a DJ is a performance service. You MUST be using your experience to feel the vibe of the crowd and select songs that build on that vibe. This guy literally ran some kind of crappy slow-song playlist during cocktails and dinner (TWO HOURS) and walked away for the majority of the time. His playlist included playing Lady Gaga's "Shallow" FOUR TIMES in a two hour period! He played Sade's "Smooth Operator" twice! Two of his four hours was this terrible, slow, sad auto-playlist...AT A WEDDING! 2. DJ Fila made no effort to build up the dance floor. I put song selection above mixing skill but you still gotta transition songs. He did not even try to transition songs. We went from one abrupt change to the next. 3. His idea of getting the dancefloor going was to throw on Cha Cha Slide then Cupid Shuffle back to back. He had no clue how to manage a dance floor. 4. The DJ and his emcee were totally unprepared to the extent that they introduced the bridal party one at a time by name but the groomsmen? They totally blanked out, messed it all up and just invited all the groomsmen to join the bridal party on the dance floor- no names or formal introductions like the others. You could see they were completely confused. 5. So many miscues, accidental stoppages of music, moments of dead silence, bad edits and bad mixes. 6. His attire was completely unprofessional for a wedding. Jeans, a white shirt and a backwards baseball cap is not appropriate DJ attire for a wedding. I truly don't know how my friend who got married felt about this DJ. I wasn't going to discuss it and bum him out at his wedding. I just wanted him to have a great time and I am sure he did DESPITE what I heard and saw (thank God it was open bar!). But I work in the industry and let me tell you, what I heard and saw was incredibly unprofessional. I would never normally take the time to review another DJ. We all have different styles and skill levels. But there must be some level of skill if you are going to do weddings. This DJ had none. Shame on this venue for foisting this poser on my unsuspecting friends but let it be a warning to all who are considering holding their wedding or other special life event at this venue. DO NOT LET THEM FORCE YOU TO USE THEIR DJ. If this is how they do business then you're better off finding another venue because your DJ will make your event memorable...one way or the other. In this case, it was not in the good way.

Went for a wedding, the exterior of this location is very outdated, we were confused if this was…read moreeven the location. Even the inside looks outdated, looks more like a funeral home than a banquet hall. The outside where the wedding was held is actually nice. It had rained, and the employees did not even bother removing the excess water from the wood where all the wedding court was going to walk on. Someone could have slipped, the brides dress was drenched by the time she finished walking the aisle. Once seated inside, we all noticed the cups and champagne glasses had old lipstick stains. When we told the coordinator, she pretended not to even see it, when it was extremely visible. She sent the cups to be replaced, but never once apologized. The dj was not at all good ,the music barely inspired anyone to want to get up and dance. At the end of the reception, instead of politely informing us the event is reaching its end, they just turned on all the lights and abruptly shut off the music, and the dj said "times up" The food was not at all good. Overcooked vegetables, and the meat did NOT look edible. I honestly felt nothing was handled accordingly.
