He passed along my delivery ticket, gave me some useful information about changes to the digital tank monitor program and was very professional. If I could give them 0 stars I would! I canceled my service with them and they wanted to charge me $150 to pick up their tank (they charge $150 a year rental if you don't purchase enough propane as well). After debating that charge of how can you charge me for picking up YOUR equipment when I cancel your service they agreed there would be no charge. I was told I would be refunded for the propane still in the tank. LIE!!!! They picked it up 7/21/25 and I called today to inquire where my refund was. I was told since they waived the $150 pick up fee I would not get a refund! Stay away from this company, nothing but crooks! read more

I would like to say we had a good experience, but unfortunately no. It's funny because their phone message is something like, "Palmetto Propane where our customers are family." Be careful with your dates. I signed a contract that I would use so many gallons in a year. I write this in July and haven't used any propane in months and I knew we were low, but I wasn't aware that my contract was nearly up. I got the invoice for a rental fee and I called to ask about a delivery instead of paying the fee. I was told no, that would not be possible. A delivery now would go on next years total. If you are reading this Palmetto, would it be too hard to give a 30-day notice that your contract is coming due. read more

Horrible company. Worker failed to reseal our underground propane tank at our lakehouse when doing annual fill, and 300 gallons of propane disappeared within weeks. Leakage tests done, with no leaks found in tank or system. (They have filled our tank for 11 years, and know our annual usage patterns). We were at that lake house only two weeks during that time, and our usage was for only a cooktop and tankless water heater. Absolutely no way we used 300 gallons in about 9 weeks!!! But they claim we are totally responsible for paying them for 300 gallons of non-existent propane! They will not admit negligence when failing to put the cap back on the tank (which we found lying in our yard!). They are an AWFUL COMPANY! This 11-year client has been cheated and lied to, and will do anything possible to prevent even one homeowner from hiring them. Buyer beware! They're crooks. read more

The office staff is very friendly and helpful. Account set up was easy and quick. The service to install a new tank was efficient, thorough, tidy, and the technician was very polite and courteous. The fuel delivery technician was polite and efficient. Both technicians were respectful of the property and took great care in asking permission first before beginning the work or accessing any part of the property. Highly recommend!! read more

Palmetto Propane is my propane dealer, they came today to do a routine check of the tanks to see if I needed additional fuel. The delivery person discovered that one tank was empty, which was odd; he did some testing and determined that I had a leak somewhere. He reported it to their service department, and less than an hour later, a service technician was at my house checking into the issue. He discovered where the leak was occurring, and fixed it promptly. Both of these men were very polite, careful, and communicated with me clearly, respectfully, and explained everything. I am very pleased with this company and highly recommend them. read more

Went here to look for fireboxes and gas logs. The "sales" person had no idea what he was doing and did not know anything about the products. He gave us a bunch of brochures and he basically could care less if he helped us or not. I also called to see if I could get pricing for them to run a line and set up my gas logs. No one bothered to call me back. Needless to say, I purchased my firebox, logs and propane services elsewhere. Not a great way to run a business! read more

This company is beyond incompetent. I literally called for OVER 2 weeks, every other day to get my tank refilled. Prices are a lil lower, but it's not worth being out in the cold. Simply, this place sucks! read more
