The worst ever service department. You need to know who your dealing with! This review is based on my last 5 visits, all of which were not without multiple issues. Be aware that the service department maybe somewhat lazy in that they don't always test their work. Example: I took in a hydraulic upper link with a leak around a hose fitting that was there from when I bought it. The fitting was so tight I thought I might break it off trying to remove it. They removed it taped it and charged me 45.00. They told me to take it home and try it if it does not work bring it back. This is a 80 mile round trip for me. Last words " Buyer Beware " ask all the questions you can because their also not helpful are forthcoming. read more

It's actually kind of an accident that I happened upon this place. I had been considering buying my first farm tractor for a bit and started searching seriously last week. I made a dozen or so phone calls to places all around the midlands and got very few answers. Most of the time "the person you need to talk to isn't here today" or "Can I get back to you later?" followed by no call backs and no emails. The process of information gathering was actually kind of painful. Amazing really how businesses stay afloat being so tough to get information from. I actually went to several tractor sales locations around town(4 others to be exact) and got more of the same that I got with phone calls. Very frustrating. And then like magic Carolina Power Equipment appeared in a search and I hadn't seen them in any of my prior searches. So of course I had to investigate further. Perhaps because I had had such trouble on the phone before I decided to skip that step and drove over there on Friday afternoon about 4:00(not ideal timing as you can imagine). There were a couple customers at the desk and 3 employees behind the counter. I forgot something in my car and when I came back in there was only 1 older gentlemen behind the counter. "How can I help you sir?" and I told him kinda what I was thinking I was looking for. He said "well how bout we go outside and I'll show you some different choices?" and so we did. He then took me through all the different series tractors pointing out differences and their ideal usages, stuff I had no clue about. He spent 40 min with me outside on a mostly miserable day(50 deg and misting). Just as patient and perhaps more importantly as knowledgeable as he could be. After I got my head around some choices we went inside where he pulled up all the numbers I could want to know including mentioning discounts that were unadvertised and unknown to me. How cool is that?? I told him I needed time to decide some things and he said "yes of course this is a big purchase". At that moment I realized he never told me his name and I told him how blown away I was by the customer service and I just had to shake his hand. He said my name is "Mark". I asked for his business card and when he handed it to me it said "Owner" on the bottom. Incredibly patient and Humble man. I didn't say it but right then I knew I was going to buy from him and nobody else. Today, the following Monday, I signed the papers on my very first tractor and I couldn't be happier. If there was a higher rating than 5stars, I would give it to Carolina Power Equipment in a heartbeat. read more

These guys are great!!! They carry a full line of lawn mower (both rider and walk behinds), blowers, ad other outdoor equipment. They offer the best brands such as Kubota, Husqvarna, etc. And these guys are down to earth and don't give you a hard time. They give you the facts and help you decide but don't push you. I recently traded my John Deere mower on a new Scag commercial mower at Carolina Power. I was shocked at how much they gave for my mower! Way more than I expected. I dealt with a man named Aaron Twitty. He was so professional and the entire experience was top notch. No pressure. Explained the differences between the various models, and based on my feedback recommended a model that would fit my needs and budget. One of the best dealings I've ever had.
