I happened to drive past the Woodruff location and the sign states they deal with dentures. I called immediately on a Friday & was greeted by the receptionist, who was the most pleasant person and quickly accommodated my mother with an appointment the following Monday. No hassle. No begging to get her in....we weren't even established patients in their practice! Once mom was seen, the dentist took a look, was honest in what could be done, cost, etc. The dentures were sent out to be repaired, returned the next day....better than new! I immediately enrolled my family for routine dental care appointments. Needless to say, the kids and I are very happy. My one child has a fear of dentist after a terrible, painful extraction experience with a prior provider back in PA, but now she willingly goes for a check up. We highly recommend this practice. They gave no papers to fill out, no Hippa (illegal not to haave), no medical history, etc. I waited for a 3D xray, the dentist was to read the xray so I would know the next step. I waited over and hour and a half when I was told they would call the results before 5. No one called and then I found out that they closed at 12 on Friday. When calling them on Monday, I found out that there dentist left. I asked to get a copy of the xray and I have not received a response. They use contract endodontists and oral surgeons which come by once a month. When I asked to check the insurance they quoted me $49 for xrays, $100 to make an appointment to the endodontist, and $500 for the procedure, (even though they did not have a diagnosis.) I called my insurance and everything was already covered. My insurance company called then to see what was going on. Needless to say, I went to a real dentist office and got the real answer to my problem at no coast. This place is a mess. I would never go there again.

Having been to dentists for over 50 years the process is rather the same. However, what they do not tell you is what they are doing x-ray wise and you assume it is a covered service until you find out their lack of transparency and communications is some of those fancy x-ray costs you several hundred dollars/not covered by insurance - I was not afforded an opportunity to decline any of it. I believe their lack of transparency is to deceive you and you are forced to pay these significant fees even with insurance. By the time they did their evaluation they "recommended" a particular type of cleaning for $700 beyond insurance. I said no, I just want a basic cleaning which they DENIED me to have. All they could offer was since "we did this evaluation" we are only allowed to perform their recommended service - not a basic cleaning. Why? they don't make much money on a basic cleaning as covered by insurance - not too hard to figure out. Goal is to deceive patients and make money. I'm ok with you making money - but you must be transparent with patients and give them options, not paint them in a financial corner.

Our concerns began after an appointment where I observed several troubling hygiene and patient care issues during my daughter's visit, including staff placing bare hands in her mouth without gloves, lack of cleaning between patients in the X-ray area, and improper handling of protective equipment. As a parent, these issues were extremely concerning. In addition, our family has now experienced multiple fillings completed here that later fell out and had to be redone by other dental providers. Having to pay for additional treatment elsewhere and put our children through repeat dental work has been frustrating and disappointing. After these issues, we contacted the office manager to request refunds for the failed dental work that had to be corrected elsewhere. We were told they would not provide refunds because "the work had been done," despite the fact that the work did not hold up and required additional treatment. I brought my concerns directly to the office first because I wanted to give them the opportunity to address these issues privately. Unfortunately, after continued problems and no meaningful resolution, I no longer feel confident recommending this practice to other families. I'm sharing this review because infection control, quality dental work, and gentle pediatric care matter. Especially when children are involved.

This practice has gone way downhill. Originally gave them a 5 star review but have to update to…read more1-star. We need to switch dentists now because of multiple cancellations by the office at the last minute. My daughters have gone over a year between visits because the office has called to cancel and they rebook for months out. Can't take the chance of staying with them just to have future appointments cancelled. Have given them multiple chances but they continue to disappoint. Update: Was willing to give this practice another chance and had an appointment scheduled for this week. I jsut called to confirm it and was told that becuase of my bad Google review, they cancelled my appointment but didn't think to call/email and tell me. They also thought this was the appropriate response to a bad review vs reaching out and trying to correct the issues. They badger patients to leave good reviews. I emailed them separately with my concerns before I posted the last bad review and they never took the time to respond. To make a long story short the doctor would not perform the procedure without the dental dam. Admittedly I am very claustrophobic and to have a piece of latex stretched across my month and face is just not tolerated well by me. The doctor was less than empathetic with my uneasiness and elevated anxiety. I left the office feeling defeated and ashamed.  Many months ago after relocating to Greenville from Hawaii I made a facebook friend in Dr. Hapney. She reached out to me following a FB post about my failed attempt to have the root canal. She graciously and kindly reached out to me several times over the weekend providing encouragement and treatment options. She spoke with Dr Vance and the two of them came up with a treatment plan that I could tolerate. One week to the day of the horrible dental experience, Dr. Vance successfully performed my procedure without medication, I think I actually fell asleep during a portion of the procedure.  I have found my new dental "Home." MALPRACTICE/ NIGHTMARE/ ruined my teeth/ Left Invisalign button for years…read more.. I really didn't want to have to write this review, but the truth needs to come out. This place does not care about you and they only want your money. I had went here in college for Invisalign and every single time I visited. I had a different so-called specialist assisting with my new trays. Some of them were even the ones who put on the buttons on and towards what was suppose to be the end of my treatment one of the assistance at the time said that she refused to order my Invisalign until I got a bunch of other work done which at the time I absolutely could not afford. I told her as the patient needed new trays and she said she refused to put in order for new trays on my unhealthy teeth. After being traumatized and humiliated I finally worked up the nerve to try out a new dentistry, and I was shocked to find out that I had cement left in my teeth and a bunch of buttons that needed to be removed that I was told could not be removed (two were on my front teeth that left me feeling insecure about my smile for such a long time...) I never finished my treatment plan so a few years later, I decided to try and revisit in hopes that things have changed. I got an awesome cleaning and then Dr. Hapney sat down with me and talked about the Invisalign process, and I wanted to know how much it would be to reinstate the treatment because honestly if I had to pay from the very beginning everything all over again I would 100% go elsewhere, but if there was anyway that she could save my case which she said that she probably could and that she would try... That cleaning cost me almost $250 and because of my insurance it had to go in for reimbursement. I told them that day to specifically send the check to my house and gave them my address. They said they would take care of it and months went by and of course I didn't receive a check so when I called to ask them what was the holdup they said that they had the check in their office and that they went ahead and applied the balance tour to my account, which is the complete opposite of what I wanted. They did offered to send me the check but it has been over a month and a half and guess what I have not seen the check in the mail wish I could say I'm disappointed but honestly, this is the expectation coming from this place... At this point I'm tempted to file a lawsuit. DO NOT GO!
