I don't know where to begin so I will start by saying thank you to Dr Vance and Dr. Hapney. A week prior to my appointment at Five Forks Dentistry I had an "attempted" root canal with a different endodontist. To make a long story short the doctor would not perform the procedure without the dental dam. Admittedly I am very claustrophobic and to have a piece of latex stretched across my month and face is just not tolerated well by me. The doctor was less than empathetic with my uneasiness and elevated anxiety. I left the office feeling defeated and ashamed.  Many months ago after relocating to Greenville from Hawaii I made a facebook friend in Dr. Hapney. She reached out to me following a FB post about my failed attempt to have the root canal. She graciously and kindly reached out to me several times over the weekend providing encouragement and treatment options. She spoke with Dr Vance and the two of them came up with a treatment plan that I could tolerate. One week to the day of the horrible dental experience, Dr. Vance successfully performed my procedure without medication, I think I actually fell asleep during a portion of the procedure.  I have found my new dental "Home." MALPRACTICE/ NIGHTMARE/ ruined my teeth/ Left Invisalign button for years... I really didn't want to have to write this review, but the truth needs to come out. This place does not care about you and they only want your money. I had went here in college for Invisalign and every single time I visited. I had a different so-called specialist assisting with my new trays. Some of them were even the ones who put on the buttons on and towards what was suppose to be the end of my treatment one of the assistance at the time said that she refused to order my Invisalign until I got a bunch of other work done which at the time I absolutely could not afford. I told her as the patient needed new trays and she said she refused to put in order for new trays on my unhealthy teeth. After being traumatized and humiliated I finally worked up the nerve to try out a new dentistry, and I was shocked to find out that I had cement left in my teeth and a bunch of buttons that needed to be removed that I was told could not be removed (two were on my front teeth that left me feeling insecure about my smile for such a long time...) I never finished my treatment plan so a few years later, I decided to try and revisit in hopes that things have changed. I got an awesome cleaning and then Dr. Hapney sat down with me and talked about the Invisalign process, and I wanted to know how much it would be to reinstate the treatment because honestly if I had to pay from the very beginning everything all over again I would 100% go elsewhere, but if there was anyway that she could save my case which she said that she probably could and that she would try... That cleaning cost me almost $250 and because of my insurance it had to go in for reimbursement. I told them that day to specifically send the check to my house and gave them my address. They said they would take care of it and months went by and of course I didn't receive a check so when I called to ask them what was the holdup they said that they had the check in their office and that they went ahead and applied the balance tour to my account, which is the complete opposite of what I wanted. They did offered to send me the check but it has been over a month and a half and guess what I have not seen the check in the mail wish I could say I'm disappointed but honestly, this is the expectation coming from this place... At this point I'm tempted to file a lawsuit. DO NOT GO! read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND! They will fill teeth that don't need to be filled!!! Our family has been going to Five Forks dental for a few years. We had many questionable moments. It seems that there was always thousands of dollars worth of work to be done.. About two months ago I brought my 12 year old daughter to have 3 fillings done. About $1,300 worth of work. I have always sat in the room with her when they've filled her teeth. This time that asked me to leave. I told them that I was not comfortable with leaving her alone. This was after they already numbed her! They insisted, so we left numb without getting her teeth filled. Fast forward to today! I brought my daughter to a different dentist to have a consultation about those three teeth. I signed release forms to have records sent to new dentist. They will not send them! They hung up on the new dentist receptionist 3 times and me once! The are holding her records hostage! The new dentist decided to take new X-rays. Those three teeth that Dr. H was going to fill two months ago did NOT need fillings.... We have spent a small fortune over the years as a family of 6. Everyone has had a ton of work done. Now I wonder if there were ever any cavities! Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! read more

To be honest Hapney is an okay dentist. What anyone who meets her will notice right away is that she is fake. I didn't belive most of what came out of her mouth. Luckily, at that time she had a great staff and I put my faith in them. She is just a shady person and she kept a dog in the office that smeeled of urine. Gross and unsanitary. read more

STAY AWAY! Had a crown done, went back a couple of times for corrections to be finally told it was fine resulting in the tooth getting rotted due to poor tooth coverage and being extracted by another dentist. To add insult to injury, because my annual insurance allowance was met they charged me a higher price over the agreed to in network fee schedule for that work. All they stated was insurance didn't contribute so they get to charge the higher price. read more

This is the only dentist office I have ever loved so much I tell people about it. The experience is always fantastic and I love Dr. Hapney and the team. Especially Jennifer - she's so patient and sweet when I get nervous. Would definitely recommend! read more

DONT GO HERE!! Butchers, Robbers, and Liars!!!Went to this dental practice due to some tooth pain and left worse than I was!! Not only did they butcher my mouth the first time supposedly preparing me for a crown(2k plus paid In full)they didn't listen to my needs and even walked out of the room at one visit due to me making sure my partner heard what they were telling me. I was in pain for three months and they didn't listen. They actually tried to get me to do other work that I need done without fixing the main reason I came to this so called practice. Not only am I hurt I'm appalled! Finally I went to another dentist practice where they took me right back and found I had a infection and decided it was best for me to have an emergency extraction. I've been trying to contact this office and they are avoiding all my calls and emails. I am out almost out of 3k from going to this practice!!! read more

My last interaction was not great. I was recommended for a crown. My temporary crown was problematic (had to be adjusted multiple times which meant I had to take off work and make additional unexpected trips), my permanent crown did not fit the first TWO times. The THIRD and final time the crown finally fit. However, it's now two weeks later and my tooth is still highly sensitive to cold and hot food/drink. In addition, a rash appeared on my tongue in reaction to their tools used. I was prescribed a mouth wash that I had to pay for out of pocket after all of the inconveniences they caused. I was given no explanation for why the spot occurred and no sound explanation for why the crown wasn't done correctly the first two times. These events spanned over at least a month. That's unacceptable. The two stars are only because the staff was nice but honestly on a professional level what I had to go through was not ok. Will not be returning. read more

It goes against "The HIPAA Privacy Rule", which states that "The Rule also gives patients rights over their health information, including rights to examine and obtain a copy of their health records, and to request corrections.". read more
