Kevin and his crew used their knowledge and judgement to guide us through with real compassion and caring. We wanted a basic cremation so Kevin listened, advised, and made it happen. They handled pickup, crematory, death certs, and obits. We decided as a family that we would take the amount that would have been spent for exactly the same service elsewhere, and donate it to our favorite charity. Typically funeral homes are not something you shop around or compare to much, but we found ourselves facing a terminal diagnosis with a few months to prepare. Knowing nothing about funeral home I just kinda stopped in on one. After 3 trips and lots of bad information, bad care, and not returned calls I said this is not how it is supposed to be. I sought out recommendations from others (which I should have done first with this type of service) and Zirbel came highly recommended. I talked to them and instantly knew this is how it is supposed to be. Caring, receptive, quick to answer questions. We were able to plan just want we wanted and they did an incredible job. Karen was extreamly wonderful and we could not have asked for better service. So on the off chance you don't have someone you can call and get the recommendation we got, I wanted to share our good experience in a sad situation.
