Jeff had apparently never helped a family with a green burial until my mother died in 2015, and we…read morecalled on his services. You could see the dollar signs in his eyes getting smaller and smaller when we explained that mom wanted a green burial with a simple casket. He told us that wasn't possible as it wasn't immediately available and continued to show us grandiose $4,000+ caskets. Absolutely INSISTED that my dad buy one from him that night. He also thought it completely appropriate to refer to "opening the grave" as "digging the hole". Which was just so distasteful that it has stuck with me for going on 10 years now. It was very sad to witness such a predatory sales move being played on a weeping old man. My mom's was the first funeral I ever had to make any plans for, and this "professional" didn't give me any guidance at all. He wanted us to buy the save the date cards and the cement vault and the monogrammed napkins, and never bothered to give me any help when it came to burying her in her clothes(she wasn't!) or allowing me to get a lock of my mothers hair. And I'm sure Jeff will follow up to my review with his own passive response about how difficult grief is, I will say that grief is a part of loving, but what he provides is a slick, cold, and predatory service, and he was lucky to work with my family several times before mom, and not once since. Also, I don't normally leave negative reviews and really value local businesses, but I truly see this funeral home as a terrible mark on the Victor business community.

I only write reviews when I believe that the services that I receive are outstanding relative to…read morethe price paid. This is rare unfortunately in today's world. I can honestly say I had an outstanding experience with Falvo Funeral Home in Webster NY for recent (February 2017) services for my dad. Though this was a difficult time for us, I must say that everyone made the experience outstanding. The end to end experience was simply better than best. Everyone was pleasant, attentive, professional, and understanding. Diana Falvo and Rick Falvo were particularly great. Their energy and people skills are exemplary, Moreover, the home was like a French country house in a beautiful setting that was impeccably clean, beautifully furnished, and with plenty of parking. Their pricing was completely transparent and very reasonable - particularly for the service and the setting. I highly recommend anyone in the Rochester area that wants a beautiful service, in a great setting, at a reasonable price.

When it became time to seek out a funeral home for the passing of my wife's mother we looked around…read morewebster and saw there were a couple options. Being unprepared we started asking a few friends about the experiences they had with funeral homes in the area. The one name that came recommended multiple times was falvo's. Well we had been there a few times and if you have seen the building your first thought would probably be similar to mine which was we couldn't afford to go there. So we decided to call the smaller funeral homes in the area first and after the first two phone calls we noticed two things; prices apparently vary pretty significantly and even though this should be a time of compassion both calls were extremely business like with no sorry for your loss and a lot of talk about money and it being required at the time of our meeting. Well that all changed when we finally decided to call the falvo's. Within the first breathe of me explaining the situation I was FINALLY greeted with a very sorry for your loss and at this time I can answer as many questions you may have. It may sound simple but that was the first time I felt comfortable in these conversations. After a few minutes of discussing our options and the price differences we were shocked to find that not only were they extremely caring but their cost for the same services was less than the two other funeral homes. I can not explain how grateful we are for making her look so beautiful that we ended up keeping the casket open even though she had been sick for so long we didn't think it was going to be possible. We will always recommend this funeral home now just like they were to us.

Had a very good experience after having some bad experiences elsewhere…read more I've got a 6 month diagnosis and need to get stuff taken care of for my wife and our 7 kids. I'm particularly looking to see who will be helping my family through the process. They were very straight forward and good at listening. It was clear they wanted to adjust to our needs. Mike was ready to help advise when needed and accommodate wherever we already had ideas. He's the first guy we meet who was a friend rather than a "salesman". We actually had a pleasant experience through a difficult time. Facilities - pristine Pricing - reasonable and straightforward Personality - a keeper (I recommend Mike) Helpful - no pressure, lots of choices My family has a sense of humor about things like this and felt at ease through the whole conversation. This is everything I would hope for the experience to be.

The pickup of my mother's body was just fine but things went downhill after that. I went to speak…read morewith one of the Keenan brothers about how my mother's remains would be dealt with (cremation). It was clear from the very beginning that he couldn't get us out of there fast enough. The building was cold and dark. We were told that they had another group's visitation hours that day and that seeing my mother's remains one last time would be inconvenient. He made it clear he had more important things going on. He was filling out the requisite forms so quickly and messily I thought he would get some information wrong. In fact, they had to call me later that day to make corrections for exactly that reason. When going over an itemization of expenses, I asked what their fee covered and he looked at me as if to say: how dare I ask? He only remembered to be friendly and wish condolences as we were heading out the door. My friend and I walked out more jittery than when we'd walked in, quite an accomplishment considering I had just watched my mother's passing. We were relieved to get out of there. But I was worried. I was told I could pickup my mother's remains in 2-3 days. I called on day two, they said to come on over. They gave me someone else's remains (same last name and, incidentally, wrong gender). Thank God I had my friend with me. She caught the mistake before we were too far away. At this point I felt I had to stick my nose where it didn't belong because I didn't trust them to act honestly. The other Keenan brother rushed her remains over from an off-site facility. It was all highly unprofessional. When I called to speak with Kelly about all the above, she was very kind and easy to deal with and promised a $200 refund for the inconvenience experienced. I have yet to receive the check. This was in March. It is now July. I don't want anyone to experience what I did during such a stressful time. Do not go to Keenan. They were great at one time when they took care of my father and hopefully will be again.
