For a Wednesday outing, the value was hard to beat. We paid about $40 total for one hour of bowling, one lane, and shoe rentals for two people, which felt very reasonable. A few highlights from our visit: Affordable pricing for a fun night out. Friendly and helpful staff throughout our visit. Clean, well-maintained lanes. A great variety of bowling balls available. Relaxed atmosphere that wasn't overly crowded. New arcade system with plenty of games to enjoy. A bar and restaurant with a wide selection of food and drinks. Attractive happy hour offerings that looked worth checking out on a future visit. After bowling, we spent some time in the arcade and played the Jurassic Park shooting game, which was a lot of fun and a nice addition to the experience. My only suggestion for improvement would be to organize the bowling balls by both weight and hand size, as it would make finding the right ball a little easier, especially for newer bowlers. Overall, Palmyra Bowling offers a fun, affordable, and welcoming experience. Between the bowling, arcade, food, and drinks, there's something for everyone. We'll definitely be back soon. read more

It had been years since I'd been bowling, so this was a fun throwback night out. Palmyra Bowling Alley offers glow bowling in the evenings (we were told roughly 5-9 PM), which made for a lively, colorful atmosphere. I didn't love the music but it wasn't terrible. We booked two hours, which came out to around $80 total for our lane. There were six of us, which is the max per lane, and we managed to get in about three to three and a half games. It felt like a good amount of time without being rushed. There's a walk up bar inside for the Sinkhole Saloon, which was super convenient. I grabbed a mini pitcher for $14 plus tip. It was definitely busy and a bit crowded, especially with a birthday party on the lanes next to us. Because of that, there were a couple small hiccups... some of the bowling balls we had grabbed ended up getting mixed into another lane's rack, and people from the neighboring party were occasionally using balls we had already picked out. Not a dealbreaker, just something to be aware of when it's packed. That said, the place appeared clean, staff interactions were fine, and overall we had a good time. I don't have a lot of recent bowling experiences to compare pricing, but for a couple hours of entertainment, drinks, and glow bowling, it felt reasonable. It's also one of the only bowling options nearby unless you head toward Reading, so it's nice to have this locally. We'd definitely go back again for a casual night out. read more

All I wanted to do is go bowling for my birthday. They don't have pay for game, and they charge 30 dollars for every half an hour. I explained that trindle bowl charges 6 dollars per game, and asked why they charge a ridiculous price. All she could do is apologize. read more

We started bowling here this winter and for our first experience it was ok because we did not go to other bowling lanes yet, it did seem very hot and the fans they had are from the 1970s and do not throw enough air to cool you, very outdated. The bowling balls are very outdated and finger holes are more for young children not adults. We are always stuck back at the end of the lanes even if we ask for lanes in the center of the facility, the girls working the desk are very snotty and stuck up, only one of them should be dealing with customers the rest should be fired in my opinion. I will no longer be going to this bowling facility the other ones we have visited have good fans , better balls and friendlier staff not stuck up high school girls. Bowl at your own risk at this place they want the money but dont update their business and need new friendly staff. read more

The staff was friendly but we looked on line and they were advertising a certain price online and when we got there they had signs and brochures advertising the same price. When we went to pay we were told the price increased by over 30% and the manager wasn't there to talk to about it. The lanes and sound/lighting were average and we had a good time. But to me if a business will try to cheat you on prices it will be shoddily run in every area, just thankful we didn't have problems with equipment or anything else we needed help with. read more

My fiancé and I had took our son bowling and there was people from the " league " practicing I guess.. long story short the couple beside us ( specifically the female ) had been speaking under their breath about us being beside them if we weren't in a league, she continued to complain and then went to the front desk, as we were setting up the dinosaur for our son we had noticed the lane went dark and bumper for him did not rise. We looked up in confusion while only in the 6th frame and it said we had to see front desk. So my fiancé had went up to the desk and asked what was going on and she had been told we needed to pay an extra amount of money to continue playing. Let me mind you we were there for not even 20 minutes. As we were asked in the beginning if we could finish in an hour. We still had to pay but as the frustration grew for having to do so AGAIN, we decided to just leave. Ive bowled in a lot of tournamnets in my life. I would have to say that these lanes were in the worst condition I have come across in a long time. You could take a house ball and swing it to the gutter and it would still break across the head. I gave it two stars only because the bowling alley itself is in decent shape but i will never bowl in this house again for fun or for a tournament. A lot of people may disagree and say that i am just angry i bowled bad. I can tell you that over 50% of the bowlers who bowled here would agree with what i am saying. read more

Overall, a nice place to go. I think it's reasonably priced. My friends and I went here on a Friday night and it wasn't packed, which was nice. We did glow bowling which I had never done but was cool. There's food and drinks with I think a restaurant/bar attached. The only hiccup was the kids next to us managed to roll their ball into our lane. Our company needed a central meeting place to hold a team building event for our employees. The company event coordinator tried contacting the manager here for several days. Each time she called, the manager was never in. In a joking manner she said to the staff that kept answering the phone " how can anyone make a reservation for a party if the manager is never in ? " The employee agreed and said he was too busy running personal errands instead. Finally got in touch with manager. He gave me a price for a rock a bowl party and we paid in full over the phone. Rock a bowl is from 10pm til 1am. During my reservation I requested food come right at 10pm so employees could eat before bowling. After we arrived at bowling alley we were told our reservation was for only 2 hours. They duped us into paying for another hour. Knowing we already had people on the way , we couldn't cancel last minute. Then all food and drinks were supposed to be set up for us. After waiting they informed us that we have to go to bar and pick up beer tube ourselves. Then they literally counted the cups as if nobody was allowed to get another clean cup. Then they said everyone had to walk from bowling alley to bar to be carded. I said wouldn't it just be easier for you to walk over to our group and do that ? The principal of booking a party is to make everything convenient and enjoyable for your guest. You think they would have told us all these things during the reservation. Some of the wait staff was nice but management and front line is horrible. I can see why the name is called the sinkhole saloon. The place was actually very empty for a Saturday night. Think owner is losing money cause management is not promoting or giving great customer service. Also wings on menu say jumbo but they were small. I would not recommend. Did rock and bowling with the kids. First let me mention that the staff is very friendly and the place is clean. The food at the restaurant is pretty good. Unfortunately was not impressed with rockin bowling. The sound and lighting is absolutely horrible. It looks like an amateur install and they could absolutely fix what they have to sound much better on a tight budget. ABC lanes west rockin bowling is bar none the best. Ultimately though the kids still had a good time. The prices are reasonable. I would not let it discourage me from going again but it's hard to like it when you have something better to compare it with. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. On February 14th, 2020 (Valentine's Day), my fiancé, brother, 2 year old daughter and I decided to pop in for two games of bowling. The parking lot was dead from the outside and we even sent my fiancé in quickly to check and make sure that the place was open. After giving us the thumbs up, we entered the building as a family and made our way to the front desk. There was a young girl patiently waiting there to add another game to her bill. We stood in line behind her and waited as well. We looked around and noticed that only about 4 of the 30 or so lanes were in use. We wondered where the desk attendant could possibly be and we soon spotted her back behind the concession area eying is with a blank expression. She appeared to be doing nothing and the joint was damn near dead so this wait that she was putting us through was unusual. God knows how long the younger girl ahead of us had been waiting before we got there but she was on her phone so I would assume at least a few more minutes than us. We waited for a good 5 minutes and made eye contact with the elderly gray haired female employee who continued to occasionally glance at us blankly. She offered no greeting. No, "be right with you". No acknowledgment whatsoever so our first impression was already poor. After about another two minutes of wondering what was going on, the woman finally approached the desk. She added another game for the poor girl in front of us and then asked my fiancé if she could help us. My fiancé replied that we were here for two games of bowling. She huffed and asked us if we had a reservation. Like I stated previously, this place was a ghost town so...no we did not have a reservation. She told us in a rather annoyed tone that we would "have to be out by 6:15 pm" we glanced at the clock and it read 4:35 pm. Clearly this would be no problem for us so we politely answered "okay!". She asked us how many were playing. My fiancé answered "three and a half" (obviously referring to our 2 year old daughter who was sitting on my 6'1" brother's shoulders about 2 feet away from her face). Not wanting even the slightest bit of confusion, I also chimed in rather loudly, "three adults and a child!". She gave us a dead glance and then charged my fiancé and asked what size shoes we needed. This lady did not smile once throughout our entire interaction. We took our shoes and headed to the lane she assigned us. We entered our 4 names and proceeded to start our first game. This was our daughter's first experience bowling so we were very enthusiastic and exited for her. We set her up with a little dinosaur ramp and cheered and clapped for her the entire game. She did great and had a blast. We then started our second game and got about halfway through when our lights shut off and a message prompting us to see the front desk appeared. Confused, we assumed that a button had been accidentally pressed by our toddler or that an honest mistake may have been made up front. My fiancé headed for the front desk to see what was up and was met by a younger male employee who explained that we had only been charged for 3 people and that 4 names had shown up on our screen so our game had been cancelled. My fiancé, confused, explained that we were under the impression that we had been charged correctly and that the woman we had initially spoke with was aware that our toddler was playing with us. The woman then appeared from no where and argued with my fiancé about how we would need to pay another full price admission for our toddler to get our game turned back on. We were baffled as this was clearly a mistake on their end. We would have gladly paid another full price admission for our daughter but the cold, uncaring, expressionless manner of this elderly woman and the unshakable feeling that we were somehow annoying her for simply being present was obviously a turn off for us. The implication that we were somehow responsible for this mistake and were "trying to pull a fast one" on them was offensive. We made no effort to hide the fact that our daughter was playing with us because we truly believed that we had done nothing wrong. We decided to cut our losses and explain to our now crying toddler that we would not be playing anymore, picked her up and left. Upon further thought and discussion, we agreed that the fact that this place even charges an adult admission for a 2 year old that can't even pick up its own ball is downright bonkers. The prices are expensive as is. The atmosphere is bland and basic. I don't want to judge the entire staff as we really only interacted with the one elderly female employee with the long gray braid but she was so unbelievably unpleasant and completely lacked all social skills necessary for her position with the public. She made what was supposed to be a special, family, experience into a confusing, frustrating and unsettling one. We will not be returning. read more

our family came up here from maryland so my husband could bowl in a tournament with family and friends. it's a pretty nice bowling alley. recently remodeled in certain areas, clean, with a pro shop and restaurant/bar as well. a big plus for me was that it was near hershey so there were plenty of other things for me to do to entertain our 1 year old once he got tired watching daddy:) read more
