Went here for the first time today and after the rock guy asked if I needed help, he directed me indoors. Gal working register was kind enough to help me find edible plants for my sulcata tortoise. Including sod, woo hoo! Exactly what I needed. I will be flushing the plants and sod with diluted vinegar then water for a few days, but I know my boy Neptune will be thrilled when he sees them in his enclosure. Once done shopping, another guy hopped off his tractor to come help load the car. Now is that respect for your elders and great customer service or what? Thanks to all for your help. I will indeed be back!

I spent a good amount of time yesterday and this morning chopping it down with my miter saw to usable lengths. I am attaching photos of a typical piece (a few are near 30"). I'm also disappointed in the quality of the load. It looks like this mainly came from the scrap pile as most of the pieces are outer chunks or burl. I've cut a lot of wood in my 61 years of life and no what is scrap and what is not. In retrospect, I should have not accepted the load but it was off the truck before I had time to inspect it (the guy was in a tremendous hurry).

They may not be full, but once you take them out of the pot and plan them and they have their time for their roots to grow they'll get full.. so this was a new nursery for me so I don't have to keep going down the hill to Riverside. So instead of using a big online flower delivery company I decided to use a local florist in Victorville. I called and said I wanted a nice colorful plant delivered for $100. I also asked for a picture of the plant before it was delivered to confirm it was something that I would like. The clerk had excellent customer service and said he would make a arrangement that included a plant and colorful flowers and agreed to send a picture. Well I never received the picture. So I had to ask someone that I knew to send me a picture. Well after I saw what was delivered I knew that I had been ripped off. I would have gotten more for my money using one of the big flower delivery companies. So sad when you try to support local businesses you get ripped off.

Was told all trees were suitable to high desert soil and climate. Bought two cherry trees, one…read morepear, one fig, one pomegranate, one mulberry (non fruit bearing). Bought grow mulch and followed all planting and watering instructions. Cherries and pear were all dead in 2 months, fig and pomegranate have 3-4 leaves remaining. Only non-fruit mulberry remains as moderately healthy. When I called I was told I should have been watering differently than originally told and basically I was out of luck. Spent several hundred dollars not including augar rental and some labor hands to help due to hard high desert soil. These trees were bought in May of this year. Found out home depot stands behind their plants and accepts returns for quite some time. Note: person helping us was very nice so no complaints about in person customer service.
