There's two type of car guys. The one that just drives the car, and the ones that knows the car. I…read moretinker with mine, and I happen to be the "how hard could it be?" Guy. So if something is a miss, I would be the guy who DIY styles the problem. If I gave it my best and I couldn't do it. Then off to the shop I go. I like recycling, I am a firm believer that if you can find parts for cheap,,, WHY NOT? Specially when it works. Anyways, I was in search of a rear wiper motor for my chevy. I called them up on the phone, barked the parts what I was looking for and quoted me $25 for the exchange. Total noob of me, I didn't know that if you exchange the bad part for the good part, they'll give me the motor for $25. Well, it ended up costing me $30 instead. Which is still very cost effective since a new one would set me back $60 - $75. Anyways, I got the part, paid for it and gave me a reciept. The guy at the counter told me that if I brung the bad part back in with the reciept, they would refund the $5 back to my credit card, which is AWESOME!! I can see myself coming back here in search of stuff to satisfy my inner grease monkey. Yes it's in the rougher part of downriver, but for some reason I was perfectly safe. I even walked outside my car, my feet actually touched pavement and walked from my car to the door. I'm disappointed I wasn't mugged or shot or any of that sort. Weeeeee!! Hooray for man stuff!

I have been on a couple of occasions to buy a part. This last visit was for a replacement aluminum…read morerim. Thanks to Michigan potholes I needed to replace a rim and tire. I called and they promptly looked up my vehicle need and found my rim for $45 with exchange of the old rim. That price was much cheaper than the others wanting $130+. I arrived and waited about 15 minutes for them to find the rim and mount my tire ($5 extra). Overall I have been satisfied with the service and selection of salvage parts. TIP: They don't put the parts on when you buy them from the counter. They open at 8am on Saturday and you should arrive early since they close at 2pm.

This is the best place in the Corridor to get your car fixed. The fellas who work here are nice,…read morefunny, and know their cars. Their prices are good, not super cheap, but they definitely wont break your wallet. If you're in a pinch and need a new tire, they'll install one for you for 20 bucks. They do oil changes and all the basic regular maintenance you need for a car. If something is broken, they will use their huge salvage lot inventory to find a replacement part. If they dont have it, they can get it from elsewhere. Each time my car has been fixed, theyve done a phenomenal job. The one downside is that you will probably have to wait, because they are very busy. But once its your turn, they're quick to get you in and out. I'd recommend arriving at 830 or 845 am and waiting for them to open. Then you'll be out in no time. Otherwise, bring a book and take a seat!
