Its a collectible in perfect condition. I took it to a few mechanics including Mcdonalds on Eugenie to get an estimate, a classmate referred me to "Joe and Sons" and paid for a safety check. (Don't use Joe and sons either! they vandalised my brand new muffler flex pipe joint.) I then used these quotes to order less pricey parts in Detroit. No mention of leaking grease or needing a cv trans axl in any of these reports. the control arm, ball joint and cross-brace arrived and I install them. The old parts are bent but grease and oil free. I've spent hours under this car, installing lowering springs front and rear brakes. I know this car. It is not registered and has no plate. I take the car to this asshole and it comes back with the cv boot slashed, a hole in the floor and fresh grease on my brand 5 day old installed parts. SK Auto isn't in the greatest location which can make things logistically challenging for dropoff and pickup. However, if you want your Wrangler fixed (or modified) properly for a reasonable price, they're a great place to go. They don't have a parts runner, so when you first go, they'll do an inspection and will tell you the price of parts before ordering. You'll then bring your car back when parts are in and they'll work on it right away, minimizing your time without your vehicle. I had a front end work, shocks, brakes, and more done and turnaround was just a couple of days. At other shops, my car may have sat there that long just to get started. SK Auto is a small shop that wouldn't impress anyone with it's looks, but it gets the job done. They're the mechanic equivalent to a little hole-in-the-wall restaurant with amazing food. Ask to see all of your used parts and have them show you the new and the old. By law the auto repair shops are supposed to do this, but they don't. You should receive two receipts and a detailed list of charges. Do not allow the mechanics to write anything on your receipt after you have affixed your signature. I have had my cars serviced here at A&S Auto on East Warren a few times. The last car I had serviced was the deal breaker for me. Sam and Al will screw you over to the max. They will make it appear as though they are honest mechanics but they are 100 percent shady. I towed an inoperable 2008 Buick Lacrosse because I did not know why it would not start. I explained this to Al and Sam cause they are mechanics and I am not. I left my key and car there and left. Something I would never do again. A few hours later, I get a call from Al who says I needed a battery, rear alignment, filter, oil change, starter, control arms and he needed $1200 to start the work. I agreed and stopped by to pay the amount. The next day I received a call from Sam who says my car was ready and I needed $1500 and I told him that I was on the way. Approximately 2 minutes away, I get a call from Al who stated that he just discovered that my engine was going bad. So all the work was completed and Al & Sam never turned on the car, cause if they did the issue would've been apparent. I arrive and Sam is soliciting me to have him to do the engine work for $4500.00. I pay the remaining balance cause he charges for.daily storage and I was not going to give him an inoperable car. I drive the vehicle a few blocks away and it cuts off. I called Sam to explain what occurred and he told me that there is nothing he could do and its my responsibility. I disputed the charges and it is still pending and submitted a complaint to the State of Michigan. Al & Sam you two are a piece of shit and got down on me. This place have also put used parts on customer's cars and was called out on it. I have had them repair another car in the past and a few days later, experienced the same issues. I promise every person who reads this, this is genuinely my truth. I make it a habit now of leaving business reviews after this incident. I hope Al and Sam does read this post. You guys are shisters. I do not have to lie about my hard earned money, trust me!
