This has definitely been a horrible time and I would not want to deal with this company at all. Fast forward to the last few weeks and I find out while I'm trying to refinance that a REQUIRED engineers report had been forgotten and wasn't also caught by the appraiser they had back then either. So now I have to fork out $450 to have one done that could have been paid out of escrow back in 2017. I contact said lender (from 2017) and he told me that he saved me that money by not having it done back then. I'm not if I have to now pay our of pocket for something I should have had already and he says we'll its the buyers responsibility and that I didn't get it. To this my response was it was the responsibility of the lender, agent, underwriter or appraiser (or anyone else) to make me aware of it and anything else I may not know being a first time home buyer and ask if it's something I want to do, but I was never given that option. Then of course it was radio silence after that.
