My visit here wasn't scheduled; I needed a manicure last minute and called a few nail salons to check for open availability. There was a cancellation, and they were able to taken the appointment within the hour. Express Nails stands amount a strip of salons and boutiques in a quaint pink Victorian building. The inside is cozy and decorated very well. The salon is run by the owner and her daughter; both were extremely kind and welcoming. I opted in for my usual dip manicure, which was done by the owner herself My nails were weak and brittle from having dip removed a few days before my visit her. She did an incredible job throughly applying layers of strengthening polishes between the layers of the dip manicure. She was very friendly and engaging; I loved talking to her throughout my service. She didn't make me feel rushed at all despite me being visiting last minute The result of the dip manicure was beautiful. I was much happier with the result of this dip manicure compared to others I've gotten in the area. While I haven't tried every nail salon in Yardley Borough, I'll definitely be revisiting Express Nails.

Most salons around here book out two weeks or more, which doesn't work with my unpredictable schedule. MaBelle is fast, efficient, and great at the basics. Their gel manicures and pedicures are consistently solid, even if the overall experience isn't as pampering or spa-like as some other places. I haven't tried nail art, tips, or more advanced services, so can't speak to those. Prices are reasonable, hours are long, and they're incredibly dependable. Perfect no-frills spot when you just need good work done without the hassle.

I continued to be disappointed at other salons and at a high price for the service I was receiving. I found Brenda online by accident, and I am glad I called to make an appointment. It was easy to get an appointment that worked for me the same day. Brenda herself made the experience! Brenda was super down to earth and friendly. She suggested that I try a product called Gel Plex instead of the builder gel I have had for a long time. She explained the process of applying this product in a way I could understand - and usually I am confused by how these procedures are different from each other. I am glad I took her suggestion, because Gel Plex is less expensive than builder gel and feels natural and light. Brenda's salon is beautiful and being there makes you feel happy. It feels like a very family owned and operated business which is what I like supporting. I am beyond THRILLED with the results of my nails, they have not looked this good in a very long time. Brenda understood exactly what I wanted my nails to look like and did a fabulous job. Also, her price was reasonable which is often hard to find in this area. I have been to this salon before and Kelly always did a good job but I travel for work and have been in and out of the area so I decided to book online with Natasha for partial highlight/dimensional color + tone, gloss, treat w/cut and style the price online was 250.00 and I had to pay 125.00 when I booked the appointment. I went into the salon and Natasha was very nice but she did an awful job on my color. My natural color is light brown but I have been doing blonde highlights especially around my face. I told her that I wanted my base color lighter and golden blonde highlights. I even showed her a photo because I was very definite about what I wanted. Well she did my base color dark, dark brown (darker then my actual real hair color) and blonde highlights around my face but they are so even I have a big clump of blonde on the right side of my band (she cut curtain bangs, which I had and like) that it looks ridiculous. I look like a skunk with this clump of blonde and then dark brown everywhere else. I wanted to be more golden blonde for summer and my hair is darker than it's ever been. When she showed me my before and after pictures, I didn't want to tell her but I liked the before much better then the after. The other thing was she told me that she would have to charge me extra because she had to use more color and when I got the bill she charged $110.00 extra and it's says for Root to End????? Isn't all color root to end???? Really disappointing! I ended up paying 360.00 plus a tip for her for dark brown hair with a clump of blonde in the front?! I hate it so much can't wait to go somewhere else and try to get it fixed. Natasha told me not to worry that next time I'd book "full highlights" and it would look better. When I told her that it was really dark she told me; "don't worry, it will lighten up when you wash it a few times." This isn't my 1st color and I'm quite sure that no matter how much I wash it, it will never be the blonde color I asked for. Unfortunately I will NEVER go back to there.
