A mid sized welcoming establishment where I think anyone from North of the Border will feel comfortable ordering from the menu. The food was all familiar, familiar names were attached to most menu items, very easy to sit back and relax without a thought. Service, as we experienced at almost all restaurants throughout the city was very good. We had the Natalie Portman, the Lisa Simpson, the Ariana Grande, and the Doctor Strange. I always come here for some of the best vegetarian food in the world. Yeah you read that correctly. I love this place and it's easy and delicious food for vegans and vegetarians but anyone would love this great food. It's got that cafe feeling but definitely a place for a nice lunch. A vegan/vegetarian restaurant with a large and varied menu. Be sure to note the unique decor with furniture items, decorations and a lowered ceiling made of repurposed doors. Servers were polite enough, but my husband's tacos were missing the onion snd cilantro. Maybe they got confused because I asked to remove onions and made sure that my sandwich did not have cilantro. Except for the vegan suadero, my husband liked his tacos. My torta Cubana was not a good choice. There was way too much bread that wasn't the right kind, wasn't toasted and was very dry. The filling was also very dry and tasteless. The milanesa was particularly disappointing. My friend's restaurant in Toluca used to make the most tender, delectable gluten milanesas, but maybe everyone is gluten free now. The meal was saved by good red and green salsas that actually had some heat. Everything else was bland and what you'd expect from American vegan food. Great food with lots of flavorful options. Dishes are named after vegan celebrities, which is cute. I haven't seen it overly crowded. It's well appointed, the service is attentive and it's quiet enough to enjoy a good conversation over great coffee. In my week visiting the DF, I've been three times! The wraps and the fresh juices here are delicious. The veggie enchiladas with red sauce was alright. Not that great. The veggie chilaquiles were okay. I got the quinoa wrap which was delicious. Wonderful brunch here a few days ago. They have a great selection of vegetarian and vegan options. We had a couple of delicious breakfast burritos and a vegan chickpea omelette. The coffee and pastries were also great. Definitely get the combo deal that includes this because the fruit plate is delicious as well! read more

We were looking for a vegetarian friendly café and ended up here for breakfast. The décor was questionable and a bit hipster central -- refurbished doors as tables, bike wheels on the walls, dishes named after famous people. Decor aside, the food was pretty good. Our order of green juice, orange juice, coffee, and some omelet dishes with black beans on the side all tasted delicious. The service was a bit slow, but the food is reasonably priced and well worth a visit for hungry vegetarians/vegans visiting the city. read more

Staff is really nice. Prices are really reasonable. I like the juice options a lot. I haven't eaten anything I didn't like. I love this place, it gets pretty full around lunch time (1pm-4pm) but it's totally worth it if you're looking for vegan/vegetarian options. I'm the only vegan in my family and took them all to try it out, they were all impressed and loved it! Even my 10yo meat-lover (ew) little brother! I've even stopped by just for the chips (expensive but worth it in my opinion) and the vegan brownie (very dense and delicious, really want to try to recreate it). First of all, Pan Comido is SUPER cute. The decor is homey with a modern twist...I really loved how all of the tables, table ware, chairs, etc. were unique. It gives the restaurant a really intimate and cozy feel. My sister and I went for brunch on Sunday. The restaurant was pretty crowded and bustling, but we were able to snag a table without a wait. The green juice is amazing, as is the soy latte. We got the chilaquiles, the "Toltsoi" and the "Lisa Simpson." Everything was delicious...the only negative was that in my sister's burrito, there was WAY more cheese than spinach, so she was bummed about that. I highly recommend Pan Comido for any vegan and/or vegetarian traveling to Mexico City!! read more

This place is so cute! Great breakfast/brunch and great for vegetarians a short distance from my hotel. Very homey vibe with delicious food. Service was a bit lacking and very slow but the food more than made up for it. Loved the chilaquiles and the chai! This is a great place to take visiting vegetarians! Most of my favorite restaurants in DF have few, if any, veg options. So, pan comida is a gem if you are vegetarian or looking to accommodate vegetarians. I love the rustic and funky decor. Service and food were really good here. You can get a paquete, or menú del día, which is a fantastic deal. We split the spinach croquettes to start and while they were absolutely delicious, they were a bit soggy - perhaps the fryer could be turned up a few notches? Same thing with the chips that came with the sandwich, tasty, but you can tell that the temperature was off on the fryer, but kudos for making your own chips! Sandwich was delicious! Loved this place! They had a server who spoke perfect English as well as an English menu. I order two plates (one for later) and both were delicious. Oh yeah! This place is paradise. We spent a week in the city and came here 4 times. We really never do that, we like to try as many places as possible but this one was just excellent. Pan Comido was a delicious find for us and we ate here twice for breakfast during our vacation. I would seriously have ate here everyday if we had stayed at the same hotel the whole trip! Service was great, speedy, caring and the staff was patient with our poor spanish. The decor of comfy couches and mismatched chairs amused my little kids. But the food was really what stood out here. Whether a fruit salad, an omelet or a burrito, everything was so super fresh and perfectly done. The Chomp Chomp baked goods plus a cappuccino was a perfect start to the meal.
