Literally every person that I dealt with, from wheeling me around, to CT, MRI, ECHO CARDIO, SONOGRAPHY, TO PT, OT, SPEECH PATHOLOGY...TO DIETICIAN, TO FOOD SERVICE, housekeeping. The nursing staff, and Drs and all of this team, are amazing. They genuinely care about those of us in life and death situations and needs. ER staff was also first rate and impressive as well. Thank you with all of my Heart.. I have truly been blessed by God to be alive and doing well right now....from start to finish, about 30 hours total, I was admitted, and discharged and home now with my daughter this evening, doing great. Almost every single person I met in the er was insanely unprofessional and unpleasant to be around…read more I came in an ambulance after a pretty bad car accident but my friend definitely had it worse than me, I was shown to my room by a male nurse who then promptly stuck his head out the door and yelled "can I have the other one?" My friend was covered head to toe in blood and I had to advocate (being a patient myself!!) for her to get a hospital gown. Friend had to get 5 stitches in her forehead, also had to ask at least 5 times for something for the pain, they finally brought her an ibuprofen. The minute I got to my room I was brought a cup to pee in and a Sheriff was in my room. Both my friend and I were almost immediately covered in nasty bruises, I had some burn marks as well. Nobody checked our bruises or anything on us. Everyone seemed very inconvenienced that we needed medical attention. We each got a ct scan and nothing else. I absolutely had whiplash possibly a mild concussion as well. If you are at all able stay away from this hospital.

They took me right in asked me about my symptoms, then hooked me up to IV. Gave me meds in IV for pain and nausea, felt much better within 30 - 40 minutes! Did a Ct and urinalysis. Turned out I had a couple large kidney stones and a UTI. They gave me an antibiotic through IV , a prescription for pain med and antibiotic. Everyone there was kind and efficient! I was probably out of there within 3 hours, feeling much better, with a diagnosis! They do their job well!!!

I was yelling "Nurse" for almost an hour and no one even came in to check on me, even though 10 nurses were sitting in their chairs chatting and playing their on I-phones10 feet away from my open door room. The head nurse and doctor didn't even care when I told them about my incident. I could have died and no one even put their head in my room; they just kept walking by while I cried out to them. A family member had had a bad seizure, so I came to town for moral support and to help supply all the happy and positive vibes! Our patient was on one of the older floors that had not been remodeled so the chairs were uncomfortable. Especially after hours and hours of sitting. BUT right down the hall was a new wing that was for ICU patients and their new lounge was super nice. Nice comfy chairs. Blankets. A kitchenette with a microwave and Ice machine. Very helpful. The cafeteria here had weird hours and only certain stations were available after 2 or 3. The salad bar was fine. They also had a monthly revolving menu, so you always knew what hot bar would be available. When it comes to hospitals if you can't respect the work the nursing staff and technicians do all day everyday, you need your head checked. We appreciated all the hard work and hard things they have to do for patients who are in pain. At Saint Johns they offer up a reward program so your able to recognize and nominate a team member. We made sure to let them know how appreciated they all were everyday but also nominated the best of the best.
