The reply to my review shows again the true problems with this place, the inability to take responsibility is truly frightening since I am being blamed for what they did to my hair. Further more, mocking me in quotes for my misuse of the word "bleach" is unbelievably disrespectful. Remember, I am not the expert. You are supposed to be. I don't even know who the person that replied to my review is, they weren't there. But if they "check the cameras" it's easy to see that there was NEVER a strand test. IF there was, they would have seen that my hair was unfit for more chemical treatments. Also the claim that the stuff was on my hair for an acceptable amount of time is BS, otherwise, my hair wouldn't look like this!! Perhaps 3 hours was a rounding error, let's try 2.75. Next time try addressing how you will fix your business in the future to prevent this from happening again to someone else instead of blaming a client. Appalling. read more

I'm fairly new to the Erie area and was looking for a new hair salon. I choose Panache because of its good reviews and pictures. I was able to make an appointment quickly and went in the next day. The reception staff was welcoming and courteous, taking my coat and offering me a beverage. The place itself is very nice: clean, fresh, and modern. I saw Aldina for a balayage and a haircut and was not disappointed. Aldina listened to what I wanted and made suggestions when needed. She was kind and honest about what would work and what would look best. She is a true artist! I honestly don't think I have ever left a hair salon feeling so excited and happy. She did wonders with my hair and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. I really enjoyed the experience and will absolutely be going back to Aldina for my next hair appointment! WOW - we were coming into town for my husbands HS Reunion on the forth of July weekend.. While driving from Chicago to Erie I started researching who/what is a good salon to go to while I was there. Mind you I had just had highlights with a new girl in the salon I goto it was a little lighter then expected and very dry frizzy which is not the case with my hair. Panache salon's website allows you book on line which is SUPER!!! You can pick a stylist or a do the panache icon for who is available. I did who is avaiable and low and behold the hair gods smiled down on me and I had a confirmation for Laura Fetzner( awesome) for saturday. Yes the hair gods did smile down as she only works one saturday a month and I scored her 2:30 pm appointment. my hair was like doll hair and ratter brassy when I arrived. I explained what happened and if we could not fix it then lets dye it from blonde to brunette again and cut off the frizzy dead ends. She is a pro suggested we use a special shampoo that would tone it not like a treatment but good enough to get me through the night and on to celebrating the 4th weekend. I cant say how much I adore her, she asked what about layering or do you want to keep it straight and how about I cut the dean ends and we do a little face framing. we took off 4-5 inches at the bottom and all she suggested. my hair looked fabulous. cant wait to come see you again. BTW love the front desk girls( 1 blonde new and 1 brunette ) they knew there stuff. If I lived there that would be my go to place all the time with Laura Fetzner!!! read more

It was like Christmas I was in town for a couple days and needed a pick me up so I stopped in and asked if they could fit me in for a dry haircut shape up on a Saturday. They did just that! Edna squeezed me in between time and made me feel special! Thank you all for such great service! It's such a blessing to know that hospitality still exists! They even shine up my wedding rings!! You couldn't pay me enough to leave my babies during the day BUT sometimes I do enjoy doing things for myself. Getting my hair done is the ONLY TIME I need to have someone watch my girls for me. Lucky for me I don't have a lot of help and the only help I had today decided she wasn't going to show up- okay fine. I handle everything else alone I can do this. So I pack up coloring books, books, iPads, snacks, drinks, because why would I cancel my appointment and wait 3 months- I CAN handle this and it's going to be fine. So I walk in and literally everyone in there was making a fuss about how cute the girls are so I thought okay cool this is fine. So the sweet girl that does my hair also made a fuss about them and said this is going to be so fun we can make a little camp out area and you girls can play while mom gets her hair done. COOL! So then the owner storms over and tells me I need to leave because she can't have little kids this age in her salon. I try to explain to her that the sitter backed out today and I just don't have help and I just wanted to get my hair done! She proceeded to tell me that this wasn't her problem and I needed to leave. I'm sorry I spend HUNDREDS of dollars at your salon every time I'm here and you're really going to talk to me like this??? So I started to walk away because I was done and she told me to leave!?? Then she told me not to walk away from her because she was still talking. I'm sorry I don't actually care what you have to tell me. You told me to leave so I'm taking my girls and my f-ing money elsewhere. I would not recommend Panache salon and spa. I feel bad for the sweet girl that I go to but I'll be damned if I give the owner if that place one dime of any of my money ever again. Edit for the haters- I understand salons are not a place for kids. I get it. Do I want to take my girls with me to get my hair done? Absolutely not. I get my hair done every 8ish weeks and this is the first time I had to take my girls with me. Normally I have solid help. Today I didn't. So if kids really were not allowed in the salon couldn't someone have come up to me to tell me like when I walked in? Or when I sat in the waiting area? Or told the girl that does my hair so she wouldn't have made me feel like this was okay??? Did the owner need to be rude to me and embarrass me in front of pretty much everyone? Absolutely not. She could have said hey we don't like kids here for reasons X, Y, and Z. Can I help get you an appointment maybe a different day next week??? No none of that. If she would have handled this in a different manner maybe I wouldn't have got so upset and wrote this post ‍ get some people skills and treat your customers with a little more respect. I was in town for a visit and needed my nails done so since I had the time I figured I would pop in. They were able to get me in that day, which I really appreciated. The wait wasn't long and the women upfront were friendly and helpful. I asked for a manicure when making the appointment and wasn't asked to specify which one (there are a few options on the website.) I assumed (my mistake) the nail tech would ask when I got there. She didn't and I had a super basic manicure done, which appeared to be the mini mani with just a little cuticle oil and cut, nail shaping, a little lotion and polish. This isn't what I was charged for. I'm also frustrated because my manicure is uneven and starting to crack after less than a week. I chose to go here because of the higher ratings. I felt like I received a below average manicure for a higher price. The tech was so sweet and nice, it just isn't what I'm used to. read more

I've been to Panache before and got a really good all over color, but when I went to try and get the color below it really did not turn out. Barely noticed a difference (I know it's a process because I have darker hair) but just not good in my opinion with what I did notice. Hairstylist said the color would develop over time but even with proper care it stays very off and doesn't contrast well with my natural. Hit and miss sadly. I previously wrote about a bad experience I had with a stylist who was new to me. I had been going to Panache for 2 years and my hair had looked the best it's ever been after being treated at Panache, but unfortunately my favorite stylist of all time left. I had been seen by a couple new stylists and had left with good results but the last stylist I saw left my hair uneven and I was not pleased with how it turned out. I had written my review on yelp and Facebook as I was upset. I was surprised to be contacted by the salon owner who treated me with respect and listened to my concerns. He was very kind and reassured me that the stylist I had seen no longer works at Panache. He completely changed my opinion of Panache and I'd be more than happy to refer friends and family back to Panache seeing how well the team treats their customers! read more

The owner of this salon is one of the most toxic and intrusive people imaginable in the beauty industry. She listens in on all the conversations clients are trying to enjoy privately with their stylists and butts in a very annoying manner. Also, she is very unreasonable and will not go the distance for even the most loyal customers. I feel very sorry for the otherwise very competent stylists who have to work under the petty tyranny. I will never go back, each time I went for a haircut and or highlights the price went up. I was told you could stop by in between appointments to have your bangs trimmed, I would wait a half an hour to 45 minutes and be totally ignored and end up walking out and trimming my own bangs. read more

yikes. Aldina gave me a haircut today for $62 and unfortunately, I will have to spend another $60 somewhere else getting someone else to correct the hack job she did. She spent 45 minutes washing and drying my hair, only to cut it for 5 minutes and ask if that was good (she hadn't done anything I asked for). I told her I wanted some more layers around my face and she proceeded to chop freely at my hair, not stopping to look at her work or what she was doing. In the end I have a haircut that is an inch and a half shorter on the right side than the left. Perhaps if she had parted my hair to begin with, she could have avoided this. The 2 stars are for panache, which is a clean and generally friendly salon with a great selection of hair products. read more

Worst haircut I've ever had in my life and I'm 70 years old. Beautiful shop with a lot of fancy rooms and equipment but if you leave with a lousy haircut and style it doesn't matter. My stylist had to keep asking her supervisor for help on how to cut my hair! I felt like I was at a beauty school not a professional salon. I went there for the first time to try it and see what the place was like. I went in for a haircut. I have never felt so rushed in my life. I sat in the seat at 1:20 and the lady seemed as if she did not want to be cutting hair. I was done by 1:27. She cut to short and really did not do much even though I asked for certain things. When I went to get up she was already on me about my next appt.... like girl settle down I just stood up. I told her I would schedule myself (which i'm not going to at that place again). So she walks me to the register where the register lady rushes me too. it was a horrible experience at this place. I went for some self care and I felt rushed the whole time. and it felt like the employees only cared about the business aspect of it. I have followed Keshly (Lozada) Selimovic to every location she has been at because of her skills. Especially for those blonde gals out there. We all know how hard it is to maintain a bright blonde and avoid those brassy tones. I always have compliments on how beautiful my hair is even when it grows out. She blends my roots so well. She always does an amazing job and gives the best advice on how to keep my hair healthy while maintaining my blonde! I went to Panache for a haircut because of the good reviews. Panache gave me the best experience until 1 hr after my scheduled haircut appointment. I came into the salon 10 min earlier than my appointment. They had an amazing service as soon as I came in--welcoming me to a cozy couch with complimentary drinks. They told me that the stylist will come and pick me up shortly, so I sat on the comfy couch for my stylist to come. 15 min after the appointment--no one came. 30 min after the appointment--still no one. 1 hr after the appointment, I asked a lady at the front desk what was wrong, and she agreed to check on the stylist, 'Cassandra' (I am probably spelling her name wrong). Another lady, who looked like a stylist (supposedly not 'Cassandra' came up to me without saying "hi," started touching my hair without my permission and said she could probably finish my haircut before her next client, who was coming in a couple of minutes. I declined her offer because 1) she was not Cassandra 2) I wanted the full-experience at the salon if I am paying for my haircut 3) she was not looking at me like a client but rather a task that she HAD TO finish on a busy day. And then, I asked her what happened to my stylist, 'Cassandra,' and she told me that Cassandra was "too busy." I understand they are busy especially because it was Friday. However, I did make my appointment, and I am also "busy." A phone call/apologies as soon as I came into the salon could have fixed everything. They do not have the right to treat their clients, who are paying for the salon, like trash. I felt very uncomfortable at the salon. From the outside--this salon looks perfect; however, from the inside--it might be made up of workers, who only care about clients' money. read more

Loved this place up until I had my eyelash extensions done here... not impressed at all. Although they treat you amazingly and seem to explain everything to you, the quality of the work in particular isn't great. They do not separate each lash after glueing them on. This resulted in extremely tangled, clustered and clumpy lashes by the 5th day. My own lashes were falling out in clumps! Maybe others had better experiences but be careful girls! read more
