The bartenders are so knowledgeable about the wines and I'm excited to go back. Great music selection playing. Just a very laid back place to be. I love the fact that they kept the original signage from the bar that was here before. The inside is full of character and charm. They serve coffee and pastries during the day and natural wine at night. They also have a music venue in the back with shows happening all throughout the month. They have a huge vinyl collection and only play vinyl while you sip and enjoy. This particular day, a few folks were working remote from the cafe tables. We were on vacation and decided to drink some wine. The bartender was so friendly and allowed us to try a few really unique selections. They had natural wine from Uruguay, South Africa, and plenty of other places. The South African wines were probably some of my favorite -- sooo unique and like nothing I've tried before. They also have a small bottle shop where you can make purchases for takeaway, which we ended up doing ourselves. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone who's a fan of coffee, natural wine, or vinyl!

We showed…read moreup at 6 AM to camp out for the concert, fully prepared to spend the next 12+ hours sitting on the ground, and we were definitely a little miserable that early in the morning. Derek completely changed the start of our day. He was such a kind soul, incredibly friendly, brought us chairs, checked on us, and genuinely cared that we were comfortable and were going to have a great experience. That kind of positive attitude at 6 AM says a lot about a person. Derek made us feel taken care of before the concert experience had even really begun. He is exactly the kind of manager you want representing your venue and setting the example for his team. Such a great way to start what ended up being an amazing concert experience.

It's been a long time since I've been to a concert, and what I experienced at Tash Sultana's show was unlike anything I've ever witnessed before. Drums. Guitar. Saxophone. Flute. Bells and sooo much more. Vocals that soared from whispers to powerful crescendos. Every instrument seemed like an extension of Tash, and every note felt intentional. People often say music is healing, music is therapy, music is universal. Last night, I felt that. Not just heard it--felt it. The audience wasn't there just to watch a performance. We were there to witness artistry. To share a moment of connection through rhythm, sound, and frequency. For a few hours, strangers were a community united by music/frequency. The team at the Fillmore made the experience even better. From security and "Jay" at coat/merch check, "Meghan" Guest Services, "Bob" food & beverage service (Card Only). I enjoyed my "Vegan" Burger and the refreshing Wildberry beverage in a commemorative Filmore cup. Thank you for the recommendation, Blithe. "Steve" provided kind seating assistance upstairs. Everyone we encountered was welcoming and helpful. Those small acts of kindness matter and should be acknowledged and are very much appreciated. And to Tash--thank you. Thank you for sharing your gifts so generously. Thank you for creating a space where people could simply be present, breathe, feel, and reconnect with themselves. I've traveled through a lot in life, but last night reminded me why "live music matters". Some concerts entertain you. Some concerts remind you who you are. Somewhere along the way, my son and I became known as "the cake people." If you know, you know. If you haven't experienced Tash Sultana yet, do yourself a favor: Tune in. Thank you again Filmore for hosting this memorable experience.

WHAT?! How have I not reviewed you??!??…read more Okay, bear with me. Could the venue have more amenties? Sure. Could the ingress and throughways inside be managed better when the crowd is sardines in a can? Sure. Can every experience in life be "more" or "better" if we're being extra picky, eventually turning those same experiences into a sterile, "will never offend anyone," suburb-coded "I come into the city once in a while for a good show but I hate the parking situation" experience? Yes. But not the the TLA, no. The TLA is Philly as hell. It's not there to give you extra-wide seats or a pinky off the champagne glass kind of vibe. It's there to be affordable. It's there to connect you with all sorts of different people there to see the same great show. And it's there to remind you that sometimes, sticky sweaty is the way to go. In the TLA, we're rawdogging sweaty air and great acts. It's where you go to see the acts that come through town where everyone who shows up REALLY wanted to show up - the performers because they're not stadium famous, and the attendees because they love those same performers all up in their bones. Things might be tight in the venue, but there's always room for fun and dancing.

I originally went in planning to have one drink and get some business stuff done. Well... one drink turned into another drink, and then I decided to order a Summer Kale salad with Chicken. And honestly, it was exactly what I needed! The salad was simple, fresh, and made with basic ingredients--nothing over the top, just perfect. The staff was cool and laid-back, and I love the atmosphere. It's open right out to the street, so you can sit back, relax, and watch everything happening around you. Definitely a great little spot to chill, have a drink, grab some food, and enjoy the Philly atmosphere. I'll definitely be back! Well, I couldn't help myself today! Because of the weather, I went back to MilkBoy, and this time I ordered a Chicken Caesar Salad. I was so hungry that I started eating before I remembered to take a picture! I also ordered a sugar-free Red Bull with vodka, and it was absolutely amazing. Everything was just what I needed, and the service was so thoughtful and wonderful.
