What a well designed, equipped, and operated attraction. I was very impressed! The walk through the woods is gorgeous. There are well worn easy paths, but the ability to take the trek through the rocks is exciting. This is a beautiful beautiful place. The geological features are a wonder to the eye and a balm to the soul.

Fun way to spend a few hours. $10 admission. Some challenging trail (though you can choose an easier route). The cliff and drop-offs are not marked or guarded (so use extreme caution if bringing children) We had fun and will return when we're in town again.

We loved this hike as you can make it as challenging as you want to make it. It is absolutely gorgeous! We hiked in a big group from ages 2 to 65 and we all had a blast. Highly recommend and the kids can have fun reading clues to find the treasure. There are some deep crevices so you have to keep a close eye on the little ones.

Wow! This was a cool hike. Not a boring trail at all. The Panama Rocks Trail is a on private property. I am really glad that the owners share there beautiful property for a small fee. If you stick to the trail I would give it an easy rating. if you are feeling adventurous and craving a little more of a challenging hike, there are areas where you can step off the trail and discover something amazing and magical. The owners does a great job in making it a learning and fun experience. Throughout the trail you will see signs posted at points of interest giving a little history lesson, or interesting facts on the landscape and creatures in the area. Another fun twist the owners added to your experience. They offer a free treasure hunt. Follow the clues and find the treasure chest. But you also have to figure out the password to open it. Sadly, we didn't find the treasure chest. I will have to try again next time. I would give your self 2 hours for this trail. Though it is short, there is so much to see. If you want to make a day out of it you can reserve a time slot for the axe throwing that is also in the property and could be booked on their website. Note: due to Covid restrictions. It is best to make reservations for your Panama Rocks experience. One last thing, due to safety concerns no dogs allowed :(

What a nice family owned park - perfect adventure for a day trip! Similar to Rock City Park in Olean NY, park admission is $8.25 (they recommend going online to pick a time slot due to the COVID social distancing guidelines) to explore the rocks and caves on this gorgeous property. There are 12 points of interest to take pictures, and it's about a 1 mile loop around. (I would consider this a moderate hike) Tons of opportunities for fun poses and unique pics. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, this is fun for the whole family! Side note- check out Southern Tier Brewing Company for a cold brew that is only 15 minutes away!

A nice day trip from Buffalo! Due to COVID, they recommend making reservations and signing waivers online. This was done easily and relatively quickly even on a mobile device. Masks are required at check-in but not within the park as long as you can socially distance. The check in was very quick and easy, and the owner was super nice and helpful, giving us tips on which areas would be the easiest/most fun for the us and the kids (adult male, me = pregnant, 5 year old, 3 year old, and a senior). He took his time to really let us know what to look for and how to best enjoy the park by going off trail and exploring the rocks safely. The trail was easy to follow with signs tacked up to explain the park and also the rock formations, and the rock themselves were so cool! There were many cracks and crevices to climb and explore. There were other people on the trail but everyone was very respectful and kept a good distance and took turns exploring the rock formations. One added benefit also was that it was so nice and cool within the park... a great pro during the muggy summer days! I would definitely come back and enjoy on another day when not pregnant and more able to explore!

Amazing-highly recommend! Really nice people. Trail is well marked with some history and told you about each of the rock formations and even the different trees on the way. I hiked in the rain so just had to be careful of some puddles, but it was so peaceful and amazing. I would return

What a fun place! Stopped for a hike during our girls' weekend and enjoyed the scenes. A very good and challenging climb if you go off the trail. If you want an easier hike, stay on the trail. Side note: 'Fat Man's Misery' is no joke!! For extra fun, grab the scavenger hunt :)))

Made a day drip down to Chautauqua County during COVID times. You had to make a reservation prior to your visit in order to prevent crowding. The process was simple and organized. All the waivers and payment took place online, and you only needed to wear a mask for check-in. I have never been there before, but their indoor facilities and picnic tables were unavailable for the time being. The trail is about a mile long, though the real beauty and fun happens off the trail. None of the formations are too hard to climb, but it is all at your own risk- hence the waiver. Everyone respected each others space, and waited for people to come down before another went up. I would love to visit in the fall to see all the foliage. Such a beautiful park, and worth the admission. General admission is $8 ($8.25 for credit as of now), and the park is funded by guests. Can't wait to come back.

This park is really great and it was so fun to hike there today!!! My friend and I stayed on the trail so it was only about a mile. You can go off the trail and hike more challenging areas, if you're so inclined. They prefer that hikers make their reservation online and sign the digital waiver online, since we're still in a pandemic. It's $8.25 for a credit card online for your reservation but $8.00 if you end up paying at the registration table. You have to wear your mask at the registration table and if you come within six feet of someone but not as your hiking. The family who runs it were so friendly and kind as they were checking us in and explaining the rules. They had fun colored tee shirts and tank tops for sale. We didn't end up buying any. The rock formations are so interesting and neat. One even looks like a face!!! There are signs nailed into the tree explaining what rock formations are coming up and a picture of what it looks like, so you know what you're looking at before you see it. There are also signs nailed into the trees explaining other interesting things too. I enjoyed my hike and would love to return.

Stopped in during a recent special weekend at the Wild America Nature Festival - Art, Animals, Music, Food, & More on July 28 & 29! What a great way to spend a day in the Chautauqua Lake region. we enjoyed the raptor and bird shows, the various vendors crafts and foods for sale. the walk thru the rocks were a bonus at the end of the day.

Tree growing on the top of rocks, roots stretching down

We had a great time scrambling over the rocks and completing the scavenger hunt. Staff was super friendly and helpful. It was a great stop on our road trip.

I have been going here since I was a kid (1980's) and its one of my favorite places for hiking in WNY with many fond memories (my father was a geologist....go figure). I took my friends there all through college in the 90's (Fredonia Alum see pic). Last weekend I took my 4 year old daughter to start the cycle of fond memories all over again (she's still talking about it). The place has not changed at all. Its a miracle it hasn't. The place is an absolute WNY gem. Its privately owned still and only costs around $7 or less per person. Things to bring if you really want to have fun: very good hiking boots, clothes you can get dirty (old jeans), second change of clothes for the ride home, headlamp (or flashlight), some snacks/drinks for after (not allow on the trails) and of course a camera (smaller the better if you plan on really getting dirty, SLR for the scenic shots).....bonus bring someone who's been there before to show the lesser known caves and passages. Kids are cool here.....but watch them closely.....I didn't bring my 2 year old for safety sake. I have not met ONE person that hasn't had a blast here. I've been going here for 30 years and still find new places to climb. Lastly, find "Fat Mans Misery" and go for it.....it starts scary but opens up.

Feels like a long time ago, yet pretty close to the Jamestown metro area. Great family hiking and exploring spot.
