We ate here after church. I was tempted to get Tofurizo but it had onions and peppers added. I ordered a Carnitas ( shredded pork) taco and beef steak taco. The tacos are street size and small. You get 2 for $7.30 per order. Other option for meat was chicken. I had some corn salsa, salsa, lettuce and sour cream on it. The meat portion was good so not skimpy. My husband had Carnitas burrito which was huge for $9.95. The reason for 4/5 is the steak was disappointing. Cut in small tiny pieces like diced onions. This made it seem tough and low quality. Also not medium rare, but medium well or well done. So I recommend not getting steak. They should have a Barbicoa or chorizo option. Thats why I like Qdoba better. Also Qdoba gives you free queso and guacamole. Here you are charged extra. Picture of said meals. read more

I ordered a burrito bowl and a burrito at 5:30PM on a Thursday. When I walked in there were 3 employees and no customers. The chicken and cheese containers were very near empty and it looked like the food was what was leftover from their lunch. I ordered anyway and hoped it would be more warm and fresh than it looked. I ordered double chicken on both meals and only asked for extra chicken after they put the normal 2 scoops for a single serving. When they added the extra chicken they added 1 small scoop, not even close to double. The cheese: they had to scape the bottom of the metal container and could barely even get 1 scoop for each meal. I asked for more and was provided another half scoop on each meal. Ordered sour cream on the side because I wasn't sure I wanted it in my food. CHECK OUT TIME: Charged for double chicken. Charged for sour cream on the side instead of in the meal. Charged for extra cheese. The guy at the register was rude and would only remove the extra cheese charge and said next time it will be extra $$. Extra money for cheese??? My Burrito was literally nothing but chicken, rice, cheese, and salsa. Never 1 single time have I had to ask for extra cheese at other Pancheros. Maybe fill your containers so you don't have to scrape for a scoop of cheese? The WORST part: Got home (3.5 miles away) and was eating 10 minutes after walking out of Pancheros door. Both of our meals were mostly cold. The rice wasn't even warm. The chicken wasn't cold, but wasn't warm either. Both meals were like eating it after it had been sitting for at least 30 minutes. I assume the rice and chicken were just sitting around for too long in Panchero's serving containers or they didn't have their warming station set correctly. Never have I had this problem before at other Pancheros, or Chipotle, or Qdoba. I won't be back to Apple Valley Pancheros. read more

My first time eating here and if better ingredients (including fire roasted shrimp) and cheaper prices don't entice you to go here instead of Chip0t!3 then the fast quick lines should have you racing there. Delicious queso, guacamole was on point and the burrito size is epic. Friendly people and the shrimp fryer showed off with large flame on the stove. The time of day we went was quiet. What a disappointment. Seeing of ingredients in the bowl left me thinking I should have ordered two. Chipotle doesn't leave me wanting more. The steak was both tough and chewy. we were at Pancheros in apple valley just now and I wish we would have left b4 getting ripped off. we were looking for taco salad and they said they could make them. Also had code for free queso and chips which they said we had to order on line. bs. for a tune of 36.00 for 2 so called taco salads and 1 diet pop we feel it was a big rip off and not very good at all. I love pancheros first off. Second, I was super happy they built this one in the twin cities! This location is new so the line moved slow (as expected for a new business). It is SO MUCH better than chipotle. I was very dissapointed in the portion sizes at this location tho . Very small portions. My burrito was literally half the size than one I would order at a different location. However. Staff was friendly. Food was good. Just very small portions. This is the first time I've ever been able to finish my burrito! Ha. read more

2nd update: after no response from the franchise owners, I filed a BBB complaint. They didn't even respond to that. So this tells you everything you need to know about the company and franchise people. They don't care if they rip you off. They charge you for food and don't give it to you. Then when you confront them, they refuse to make it right. Never met a company that steals from you so openly. That's what it is when they take your money and don't provide the item you paid for. Update: a week later and franchise owner hasn't contacted me. They haven't even responded to the BBB complaint. It's not about the money, it's the principle. You can't take people's money and not give them what they paid for. According to my search, Bob Thompson and Craig Noah are the owners. There is an interview with Craig Noah where he talks about providing quality customer service and food. Lol. Customer service did leave a response saying please give us another try. Nothing about making it right. Original post: This place is so bad. I used to go here all the time when they first opened but not anymore. I may go once a month if even that. I have had so many bad experiences. The people that work there give poor service. The online order is never ready when they say it will be. One time the chips were so stale that we only ate one and threw away. This last time they forgot part of the order again. Went to get my money back and the person there said they can't give refunds. I didn't want the food she offered because dinner was over. Plus they made me drive there twice. Because it was ordered at the Pancheros website, had to do the refund online. Contacted the customer service and they said they can't do refunds either. It has to go through the franchise owner. The customer service person said the owners don't have to give refunds if they don't want to. Really?! So this whole system seems to be designed to rip off the customer. What kind of customer service model is that? They screw up your orders and may or may not make it right?! Even if you order at the store, they won't give a refund. Today being the first day of business for the Apple Valley location we were going to take advantage of a gift card that we had. Unfortunately we were unable to do this for pick up order. They will NOT accommodate anyone during this COVID 19 for curbside pick up! They are forcing people to personally come into the restaurant and place the order no phone orders either! So those who have underlying health conditions that HAVE to be careful this is NOT the place for you to go! So far during the COVID 19 this is the first place that I've ran across that will not accommodate ANYONE!! I will not give them my business in the future based on this information they told me! I believe they will be losing lots of business due to discriminating against the elderly and vulnerable! read more

Very expensive for kids ordering burritos. My granddaughters order a burrito with chicken, salsa and cheese. It was to go and we weighed it when we got home. Less than 8 Oz. So this is $16 a pound! Rip off. They wouldn't give us a break on price at all. At least chipotle gives you a break. read more

First time at this location. My chicken bowl had a LOT of good quality chicken! Liked the fresh jalapenos and fajita veggies were not mushy. I'd return for chicken bowl but the veggie bowl was same price (no discount for no meat) and did not include guac. So would not order it again. read more

Portion sizes are extremely small for what you pay, it only amounted to a few bites even after adding almost every topping. All of the food was cold and the rice was hard. The meat looked old and the place was dirty including the kitchen. We decided to give them a chance because understandably this is a very hard time for businesses but I'm not sure how they will continue to get much business if they serve food like this. read more

Delicious! This place is very similar to Chipotle and I love that they mix the burrito contents before wrapping it so you can get every ingredient in every bite! Great find! read more
