Very rarely do I post reviews...but I felt it was necessary with how my experience was!!! I've never been more disappointed with a Pancheros location. I am a frequent visitor of the Dubuque location which I've never had any issues with...the Marion location - not good! I understand it is a new location...but it needs some serious help! My chicken was cold, they didn't mix it together so I'm getting bites of just beans/rice/chicken etc., and I had to help the cashier count money (which she gave me $10 extra and I was kind enough to return). I love pancheros, usually really clean. 3:30 in afternoon place is complete disaster. Not even a mixing knife to stir my burrito. Kid used a quest lid to mix. read more

You know it's going to be a bad experience when you walk in, have 4 employees stare at you, and none of them greet you or walk over to help you. They argued for a minute about who was going to take our order before one of the girls finally came over and asked what we wanted to order. The worst thing about this place is the employees attitude. The heavy black girl with the face piercings and music note tattoo on her neck was the worst, she literally threw all my toppings on my burrito, was super rude, AND threw the mixing spoon when she was done using it. Sad to say this wasn't the first time either, I've had her make my food before and she always does this. I def won't be back to this location until management gets a new staff, these people obviously don't care about the food their giving to customers and it's overall a very poor look for pancheros. I'd rather drive 15 extra minutes away to a better location. Just skip the disappointment and go somewhere else UPDATE: Came back on 9/26 at 9pm and was pleasantly surprised by the staff. I've been going to Panch for years, love the food but every time you go in you never know what you're going to get. Sometimes the burritos are bomb, sometimes it's not good at all. Lately, the last several times I've gone the employees move at a snail pace when the line is long. Employees are rude, unfriendly and you can clearly tell they do not care about service or their job. I try to be as polite as I can but it's getting harder and harder when you ask for something and they all but roll their eyes at the request. The place needs to work on cleanliness and management. read more

That tofusada was so good, that I went back for another while studying for final exams. I changed it up a bit. The black beans and rice were perfectly cooked, not too mushy or too firm, Pico de Gallo was fresh, the hot sauce had a roasted veggie taste which I liked, but was not very spicy to those who like spice. (It has to leave a nice burn on my lips without being so hot that it overpowers the taste of the food.) Tofusada still had that nice flavor and charred crust on it. I swear that you cannot tell you are eating tofu. If someone had handed this burrito to me I would have thought it had meat in it, not tofu. Guacamole still good. Veggies were again colorful and cooked just enough to leave a slight crispness, which I think is the perfect texture. Their tortillas are some of the best, and freshest I have had. They have a better taste than Chipotle's tortillas. I did notice a kernel of corn in my burrito, meaning that someone had slopped corn salsa into something else. One thing I noticed today, and the last time I was there, was how sloppy everything looked behind the sneeze guard. I didn't mention it before because they were very busy and there had been a line. Today, there was only one person in the place. It was the end of lunch, so maybe they were busy earlier. There was food slopped all over on the edges of the steam table in between the food pans. I also noticed that there was a dirty cutting board by the flat-top grill. The grill was just caked in a layer of black and looked like it was begging to be scraped off. Now, that may add more depth of flavor for some, but for those who are vegan or strict vegetarian and do not want meat juices mingled in their tofu, that may be an issue, unless the tofu is cooked elsewhere. As long as the grill is kept warm there may not be any cross contamination issues, but it could interfere with consistency of flavor in the meats. Service was fast, polite and efficient both times I was here. Panchero's has been a favorite of my family for a lot of years. If they cleaned up right after the lunch rush, I would give it 5 stars. read more

The food tastes great, but the service is terrible. The employees are not wearing their masks like directed and move slower than molasses! I get a 30 minute lunch break and I work across the street, and i had stood in like for over 25 minutes. Along with every time I go there. If you're in the mood to stand in line and wait all day, go ahead, but if you're in a hurry I wouldn't recommend this Pancheros. read more

We like pancheros but the reason for two stars on this branch is because i recently ate here with my 2 year old child. woke him up while he took a nap (big mistake) While my husband and i try to stay calm and be there for our tantruming child one employee just blasted the music up till it was hard to hear each other anymore. I don't know if it was specifically for my screaming child, but i thought it was rude and he was the only one screaming there.. (yes i completely understand nobody wants to hear a screaming child) on top of that the person who served us, didn't even speak a word and she ws doing something so i didn't know if it was my turn.. i looked up to her and she looked all mad and sh*t... i should've asked if she was having a bad day or something! just not a good experience in this branch.. we love the burritos but unfriendlies just ruin the experience for us.. kid friendly?! read more

My son and I have always loved to go to Pancheros while we were in Iowa but this Pancheros horrible. Besides the fact that I brought it to their attention that the sour cream was in the hot sauce, first they did nothing then I brought it to their attention again and they brought out a new one but dumped the hot aauce with sour cream in the new one and then after I went to get one for a friend and I could not believe that they still had not cleaned it, they also had the place very dirty with garbage overflowing and ist sitting aeound because nobody had cleaned the trash. We will continue to go to Pancheros but never this one due to this horrible experience. read more

The food here is always great, but the staff was very rude. I asked for mild salsa and extra pico on my burrito. When she only put pico on it I asked her if they had any mild salsa. The manager (I'm assuming ) said yes and looked at me straight faced. Not one person said you're welcome when I said thank you not one person said no problem or have a great day. As I was leaving they were completing a faxed in order and they were talking shit on the people who placed the order. Talking about how they had asked for salsa and "we have like five different kinds of salsas. I should just put hot salsa on it." #nexttimegoingtoChipotle read more

Pancheros as a whole has always been hit and miss with me. I think they are overpriced in general and their ingrediants in general lack quality that their competitors possess. However they have one of the best tortillas around and their queso is divine. I just don't want to be charged an extra $1 for a tiny portion of veggies added to my burrito. Is that too much to ask? Extra points though for being one of the few burrito joints that mix the ingredients together. read more

Many chances have been given, and we've given up with this place. There's no point in ordering online for pickup, because they'll start making it when you get there. Then you should take a few bites before you leave, because chances are, it's not right. Yuck. read more

I would say the food here is ok nothing too spectacular. My burrito has been cold on more than one occasion and it honestly seems a little crazy to me that it costs $1 just to add queso to an otherwise dry burrito. It's hard to justify buying a $9 burrito I suppose that's why the only time I stop here is after a night of libations:) another thing I must add is during my last visit they wrapped up my burrito without even asking me what I wanted on it, then when I said hey! no one even asked me what I wanted on my burrito and he looks at the guy in front of me in line and said....he did! And completely ignored me after that. I was quite upset with the rudeness and ended up with a rice and cheese burrito! Sick! They need to work on there customer service. read more

Pancheros is the best burrito joint in Iowa and the surrounding states. The fresh pressed tortilla is delicious and gives them the edge over Chipotle in my opinion. They also have a great selection of sauces, the hot and Verde are particularly good! Pancheros id's also very vegan and vegetarian friendly, they now have delicious marinated tofu! read more

This is the SECOND worse customer service I've had since I've been there. Funny thing is I was once again served by a RUDE African American. This time it was the whole staff. As soon as I approached I was even acknowledged as a customer. I maybe a whole minute just standing waiting to be greeted and asked what I wanted to order. Once I did they did start making my order by pressing the tortilla shell. Then put the shell on the area where they start making it. Then they just stood there as my shells were sitting. They just kind of walked around acting like I had not made an order. The whole time everyone was just brooding around like someone died. This location needs to get rid of the rude African Americans they're hiring. ALL OF THEM don't know any customer service. What's even worse. BEFORE they started adding my stuff and touching my burrito the nasty monkey took her fingers WITH the glove on and started to insert them into her glove poking or something at her palm like I wasn't there. I'd give a zero if I could. Long story short is after I placed my order from the app for delivery, they ended up not delivering, and then told me they couldnt refund it either. To make things worse the employee I spoke with Brian White admitted on multiple occasions that yes they DO in fact deliver to my location but I still would not be getting my food or money from them. If I wanted my money back, I'd have to make a complaint on their site. Corporate was closed so I couldnt call. Oh. I had the same issue a couple weeks ago but their Corporate office told me they DID deliver and all of a sudden my food was delivered that time. read more

Very inconsistent quality!! meat chunks found in veggie servings. When you order veggie bowl you clearly are not expecting that.

I love panch and I come here all the time but my most recent visit was ruined by unprofessional employees shouting and saying immature and inappropriate things to each other, shouting, and singing loud enough to ruin my appetite from across the restaurant. And if that wasn't enough, one of them coughed directly over all of the foods in the line without even an attempt at covering her mouth.
