Pancho villas has been a staple of the huntington community for as long as I can remember. I have been going for over 25 years and recently went after a long time to see if it was still good. What you get here is good, decent Mexican food. The chips and salsa are good and the table side guacamole is delicious. The margaritas are well made and a good size. I always get the enchiladas and they are always consistently delicious. Also, the service is always friendly! I'm happy it was still good and will definitely be back. read more

I will never understand the low reviews from this place. First of all their menu is priced so moderate and you could actually take your family there and not kill yourself with the cost. The inside, remind you of a typical Mexican villa, very quaint. The owner and workers are absolutely friendly, and the inside is well seated for the amount of group that you have. I really love their beer menu also which has so many different varieties. My family highly recommends the margaritas. A nice pitcher goes a long way. I love the taco salad. I've had it with steak and in the pasta with chicken. It fills you up and it is nice that it comes with a side of rice and beans Parking can be a little challenging here so if you are pressed for time, try to arrive early. read more

Came here the other night for dinner with friends ordered our meal and some drinks and when I asked for a little extra sour cream, I was appalled when the bill came and they charged me four dollars for a little scoop of sour cream considering our bill was almost $200. Friends of ours had suggested Pancho Villas's in Huntington. My wife and I with our friends dined on a Saturday night whit reservations. We were greeted and seated immediately. We were given complimentary Chips and Salsa to start with, Chips were fresh and salsa a little spicy and good. For drinks we all ordered Margaritas, 2 frozen, a Pomegranate and Blue Coconut. All were really good. For Dinner I had the Combo Enchilada, Chimichanga and Burrito with Black Beans and Rice. Also, very good. Our waiter was friendly, efficient and polite. Our drinks and food came out in a timely manner, drinks were cold, food was hot. No leftovers. It was a nice dining experience with my wife and friends. We were not rushed so we were able to enjoy the company and food. I would like to return and try some other dishes over the summer. read more

Today is Happy Mexico Independence Day! LA's Mexican restaurants have nothing on Pancho Villas in my Huntington hometown on Long Island! I've been coming here since the 1980s and they're still in business serving up great Mexican fare and outstanding Margaritas! This daytime photo on Yelp is how I last remembered the restaurant. I used to lunch here often when my office was in Woodbury. I've been in LA for over twenty years and visit NY often at least before the pandemic. I can't wait to dine here once again! This place is a serious let down. The worst mojito I have ever had- had to ask to send it back and instead the waitress brought over a cup of strawberry purée because I told her it lacked flavor and only tasted like club soda. Additionally, the drink menu has no prices on it which is weird. Stopped in last night to grab a late dinner. Sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by the bartender and shortly after had chips and salsa in front of us. Place was pretty empty as they were closing in about two hours or so and its a holiday week; but it was as always very clean and not to loud or crazy inside. Ordered and appetizer platter that came out in roughly ten minutes and was very hot and fresh. Then shortly after both entrees came out the exact same way. Margaritas here are always on point and food portions are very generous for the pricing. If you want good Mexican food in the area and dont want to break the bank for the "ambiance" of a high end restaurant this is the place to go. Staff is also amazing. read more

Stopped by here with my family and had a 10/10 experience! We had been seated outside. They have this tent with heaters. It was nice and toasty! Our waiter and hostess was so friendly and wonderful! They made us laugh all night! They still make the guacamole in front of you and it was delicious! They were super attentive which I really appreciated. Even for us sitting outside. We ordered some margaritas which were super tasty. And then got a pitcher of sangria to share! The sangria was not my favorite but the margaritas hit the spot. I ordered a chimichanga which was so so delicious! My cousins ordered the chicken soup and black bean soup. Both looked amazing. My cousins also ordered a taco bowl and a fajita. I never write a negative review unless I cannot find one thing good about this filthy dump that was once a great go to place in the 1980-1990's. Went in this past Friday afternoon at 3:30. About 7 people at bar. Been getting hammered with emails from them about how great their Friday happy hour and drinks are. Yeah wrong!!! Sat there with my friend waiting for someone to take my order. After 15 minutes which was long enough I flagged down a girl that really did not want to be there. Ordered 2 margaritas. They were not made up top where you can watch but we're made under the bar rack. I knew the first sip there was not one drop of tequila in it. Same for my friends drink! I told her we cannot taste anything but the pre made mixer from jug. WRONG! She huffed and poured a drop in the glass. At these prices they should not look to recoup money from the pandemic. Next was the 2 "appetizer" sized black bean soups we ordered. Appetizer? No. How about 1 pound of raw black beans and hot water ran through it. No seasonings nada! I told another server who also did not want to be bothered and his answer was "oh well". Really? This was $60 for absolutely nothing that was good. DOH needs to walk through the back of this place. I am really annoyed and will never go back after 40+ years. Shame on you for cheating customers with your no pour policy to recoup money. The chips they serve you when seated were well done, personally I'd rather Tostitos. I got the chicken finger salad, they left out the eggs and olives and gave 2 slices of cucumber. Smh. The fajitas had more tomatoes and onions than peppers. When we asked the waiter if there were tomatoes in it. He said yes don't me to pick them out. Had lunch sat outside on a weekday. Server never checked on us. Food was okay nothing to rave about. Felt it was very pricey.

Very disappointing, haven't been there in years. The quality of the food has diminished. The drinks are weaker as well. The Chicken Soup was a disaster, massive chunks of Vegetables. I guess that's because of the cost of labor? For what I paid for a lunch for two $99, I'd rather go to Besito Mexican Restaurant down the road & get quality upscale real Mexican food for about the same price. From the food to the drinks probably the worse Mexican food I ever had. I had the mahi mahi with Mexican rice. Fish was dry and rice was terrible. Husband had poblano enchiladas and even though it was smothered with sauce he said chicken was dry. His rice was not Mexican rice but a white rice that tasted undercooked. I ordered the mezcal tequila and it tasted like I was drinking gasoline. Husband liked his tropical margarita. Service was OK but our food was not served together. Kids got food first then me and husband waited at least 15 minutes for our food to come out. For $200 for a family of 4, food and service should have been better. Definitely not coming back. read more
