This is truly a magical place for early childhood education and comes second to none. We were sad for the former director to leave but Ms. Meredith has proven her dedication and commitment to keeping our children safe, feeling loved/included, and having them thrive in the most fun learn/play environment. Her staff loves and truly know the children down to their particular interests and personalities. The outdoor space is nothing like you've ever seen in any other preschool. Call them for a tour and see for yourself! If you're a parent like me who has been doing all the research of finding the best place for your child, this is it. All the teachers are amazing- from Ms Monica( infant class) to Ms Kali (toddlers), to administrator Melissa, everyone is professional, friendly and has shown nothing but love for the children in their care. In addition, at least once a month the school will have a pizza night, Lego night, breakfast with grandparents, story night, etc. Those events are great opportunity for the parents to meet our child's teachers as well as other parents . This is more than a school, this is a community! Finally, our daughter came home one day and started singing in Spanish ( nobody in our home speaks Spanish) This is just another example of the amazing work the school is doing with our daughter.

Despite our friends' recommendations against sending our son to this branch, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to temporarily enroll him, with the ultimate goal of transferring him out in a month, which was clearly communicated. My genuine observations are listed below: - While they claim a 1:12 teacher-to-kid ratio for 2-3-year-old toddlers, the ratio is more like 1:24 in the morning when we drop off the kids. - Due to short staffing, the teachers tend to leave some of the kids to cry after their parents leave for elongated periods of time, to the point that some of them turn purple. They are occasionally desperate to the point that they grab other kids' parents' hands to feel supported. - On his very first day, my son got a bruise/scratch on his nose, which took more than a week to heal. When we asked him, he mentioned another kid did this. We reported this to Discovery Isle, and they hand-waved and did absolutely nothing about it. - When I go to pick up my son in the afternoon, he typically sits by the fence, out in the sun, grabbing the pole and crying as if he's been in the jail and hoping I'd come and set him free. And the teachers don't seem to care much. That deeply saddens me. For the record, he's an absolutely social kid and doesn't have any issues making friends and/or socializing with other kids in the neighborhood or at the park. I think something is not quite right with this preschool. - The front desk assistant, Camille, needs improvement in her communication skills, especially in written communication via email. While I'm certain she doesn't have bad intentions, her emails are aggressive to the point that they may be perceived as insulting. She also needs improvement in her mathematical skills. I found multiple errors in the way she calculated tuition/fees, in terms of elementary addition/subtraction. - I requested access to the Tadpoles app. It took Camille two weeks to give me access after having typos in my email address multiple times. Believe it or not, my wife's name is still misspelled there, and they don't seem to have the analytical skills to fix it.

I've had her in a few other centers around the area and they are by far my favorite. I get updates and multiple pictures of my daughter doing activities and having fun with her class mates. She practices writing her name daily as well as number/ letter recognition. Classrooms are clean and aesthetically pleasing. I can tell their day is structured with intentional activities and the children are not just left to do whatever they want. They go above and beyond with holiday activities too. I pick her up and her clothes and face and hands are still clean by the end of the day. Any issues with her they call me right away. They know how to make learning exciting, fun, and safe for the kids. I'm forever grateful to have the peace of mind while I'm at work and know that she is loved and cared for all day long. All of her teachers have been so caring, attentive, loving, and compassionate to her. We can tell she is so loved. She is so excited every morning to go to daycare that she is usually the first one there and last one to leave. There are so many things she has learned before the age of 3. She can say the whole ABC's and identify many of the letters, count to twenty, and identify and say all the colors and shapes just to name a few things. She is also completely potty trained thanks to Little Steps with no accidents at all any more it is incredible. They really worked with us and her and helped so much. We are so grateful for all they do and we tell all our friends about Little Steps.

The school had to talk to the church and they called me back with the decision that they couldn't not allow my son to go to their preschool bc he would not be able to participate with the other kids. That is completely false because I take my son to many diff toddler classes and gym classes and he is such a outgoing little guy and great at participating. This school/church is discriminatory, gives out false information & frankly could be racist for all I know. They mentioned how were the only Indians who would be in the school. Do not waste your time. If they are treating my son like this before he even started school with them, imagine what they would do without his parent(s) knowing when he's attending school. Shame on a church too!

The facilities are clean and new. The children get two meals a day plus snacks always with fresh fruit. They offer a good variety of enrichment classes like music, language and sports. Lots of arts and crafts, too. A great bonus are the regular parents nights out where kids stay at school while you go on a date night! Also, they even had a visit from Santa at Christmas and a fun Halloween party. Definitely would recommend!

Everyone takes the safety and security of the children very seriously, and I feel confident that my children are very well cared for when they're there. If there are any behavioral concerns with children, the staff are quick to have open and constructive communication with the parents/family to ensure the child(ren) is/are supported in their needs moving forward. They plan great activities and experiences for the kids that foster learning and growth I also love that hey have a cook who provides freshly made lunch to all the kiddos. We first started at MSKM in Jan 2022 with our oldest son when he had just turned 2. Being a covid baby, we really wanted him to get socialized and establish good routines, all while learning and growing. He attended MSKM until Aug 2024 when he started UTK. Our second son currently attends MSKM and has been there for over 2 years (started when he was 6 months old). We have had experiences in all stages of classrooms and with all the teachers, and I have had no complaints. The growth and advancements my younger son has made while attending MSKM would not have happened if it wasn't for the support and attention of the staff. I cannot recommend MSKM enough and I am beyond thankful for the care and support that the entire staff have given my children.
