A couple days ago, I drove through here and a second mobile order had been cancelled by PandaExpress, I didn't know, until I was here. Lexi and Anna tried to help me out. They were so kind and helpful. I ended up getting it sorted out, but those two were a big part of the 5 star rating. Food was hot and fresh. Love the mobile ordering-it works out really well. Clean. Been to this one before and they were super friendly and the food was hot. Went tonight through the drive thru and we had 5 orders, so the chow mein had to be made fresh which is great, so we waited an extra 12 mins. Only to get home to chow men veggies! The service here is very efficient and the workers are polite. I will say though, when I use the drive through, I often have troubles. It may be forgotten silverware, or my order is incomplete. Other than that, recommend. read more

Decent location. Nothing that outstanding but nothing bad either just a normal, chill Panda Express. Went through the drive through at 7:30 pm, they were out of several menu items but that's okay, it's near closing for them. Went through the drive thru, ordered my meal, after picking up my girlfriend for lunch we realized we got nothing close to our order. I called them ahead of time so that it would be ready when we got there and the lady on the phone hung up on me half way through. Didnt apologize or say goodbye. 2nd time in the last couple weeks that panda had done this. I realize covid is making it hard for restaurants but you could at least have the decency to apologize and say goodbye rather than just hanging up. read more

I have eaten here a couple of times. when you go in and you order you tend to get a nice portion and it seems like they don't try to fill you up on the vegetables only. Yesterday I had a 25% off coupon and when we got the food home it was the bigger plate that we got so we had a small container. There was a total of six small pieces of chicken amongst vegetables We opened the big plate, and it was sparingly chicken, and the helping was not very big. It left me feeling they were going to make up that 25% somehow. I feel they have a quality product. I just don't feel when you order the takeout portion that it is equal for the same price as when you eat in. read more

I think we are now officially done with Panda Express. As noted in our last review, we aren't terribly anxious to patronize their takeout again, but when I got an email offering free delivery for a limited time, I thought I'd give that a try. I went online to order our dinner for delivery and when I punched in my address got a message saying they aren't able to deliver there. This was puzzling, because I have had food delivered here previously. So I called the restaurant and got no answer. Then a few minutes later I got a call from the restaurant; apparently my phone number registered. I asked what was going on and the manager had no idea; he said there was a problem with online ordering for delivery and maybe I should try "Grubhub or something" instead. I asked whether there would be a charge for that and he said probably. So then I called the Panda Customer Service number and got no help at all. The person on the phone just said that maybe the problem was a lack of drivers and that there was nothing they could do. Her total lack of concern was stunning. This all seems like bait and switch to me. I wonder if perhaps after the free delivery offer is over I will suddenly be able to order online delivery after. In any event, I doubt very much that we will ever patronize Panda again. read more

This is the 3rd time I have been to this store. Unacceptable customer service by this lady ("Vira"). This lady screamed aggressively to me and my daughter. After paying our take away we were standing on the serving line for 20 minutes, because they didn't have enough of the dish I paid for. There were nobody else on the line. When I noticed the cook was cooking other dishes, I gently reminded the lady we are waiting. That's all it took for this lady to start yelling at me! I stood there for another 15 minutes, because she told the cook to prepare 2 other dishes before preparing mine. I would suggest the regional manager to take a look into this person. It may save Panda Express some legal headaches in the future. read more

Consistently great food and I've never had an order wrong. The service can be a little choppy at times but it is rarely that bad.

Panda Express has seemingly improved since I last went. The chicken and shrimp are very tasty (although probably pretty unhealthy). Their sides are pretty meh but the fried rice is passable. Service is fast and the price is reasonable for what you get. Sometimes they will skimp on the entree so it's kind of a hit or miss on whether or not you get what you pay for but I enjoy Panda Express from time to time. Take the express out of the name. They are so slow here. There were 4 people ahead of us and it still took 15 minutes to get waited on. This was at 4:30 in the afternoon so the rush had not started yet. I have to admit my wife's angus steak dish did taste good. My teriyaki chicken was mediocre and my orange chicken was cold. Actually none of the dishes were hot. The fried rice looked good but left a lot to be desired. Nothing here to make we want to come back. read more

Always out of food items and have to wait up to 15 mtes for it to be made. Last night they were out of vegetables when I arrived, 10 mtes later, they were ready, but they were undercooked and warm (how is that possible?). Passion tea is good, but they were out and I was told they only make it foe lunch crowd. It was 6:30 pm and I was there for dinner. Why sell tea and leave container out if you don't plan to sell to dinner diners? I spoke to manager who said he'd make tea, but it would take 15 mtes. I don't know why I bother going here. On my first visit a few months ago, I ordered the infamous orange chicken and it was ice cold. Was tempted to contact the health dept., but didn't. Have gone through the drive thru on my lunch break a couple times with notes taped to the order place that they are short staffed and out of a number of dishes. Expect to wait for assistance as service is very slow. Stopped in for a late lunch today and everything was dried up or gone completely. They were even out of rice! Thought I'd give them another chance and try the drive thru after work and they were out of the entree I requested 'for the day'. Overall management of this location is really poor. They said the wait was going to take 14 minutes which is fine but they actually made me wait 45 minutes and they weren't even apologetic. I went in today and there was no line at all. Took the two girls there 5 mins to help me, they didn't say anything before then, just stared at me. Wasn't friendly at all, worst service I've ever had here. I sit down and my chow mein was hard from sitting there too long. The food was great but the staff was a huge disappointment. I am a regular at the Duff Ave panda, so I was pretty appalled with the staffs behavior. I was not welcomed in. The manager with the blondish weave just looked at me and started filling drive thru orders which the main girl was already taking care of. Martina(black girl with a rubber band to hold her hair) does not want to be at her job. She was not smiling and wasn't listening to my order so I had to repeat it. Food is up to the excellent Panda standard, however, the service is abysmal. Wait time for the iconic orange chicken was 8 minutes. The employees focused on drive through to the point where I standee at the front of the line for 15 minutes waiting for them to finally acknowledge that I was there. And they don't even do the drive through well. I've experienced not having my food given to me at the window once and I just don't see how that happens. Please improve the service. read more

Other than the panda express at the college area, this is the worst one I have ever been too. I been there 4 times the last few months and there are always empty food trays. I was also told on my last visit they don't make sweet and sour chicken but they would make some since I asked. I thought they all made that since its a Chinese staple. Anyway I thought that was very nice, but I still didn't get any because they scooped it all up for the drive through orders which I thought was very rude. So this visit was another bust and needed up leaving with no food since they didn't know when they would make more. Whoever owns or runs this one should be in there checking on things and fire those who can't do there jobs. So the best advice is, drive to the Altoona area there's is fantastic. read more

Thought I would give this panda another shot. Big mistake. You come in, no one here customer wise, and they have little to no food available. And I'm not even talking specialties, I'm talking orange chicken, sweet fire, basic panda orders. You wait 10 mins supposedly, but I've been here almost 15. Don't waste your time. The last few times I've gone they were out of numerous menu items or I've waited 15+ minutes for my food. Tonight I went in thinking it might be quicker but I was wrong. I ordered, being told it would take 5-7 to make food. Totally fine. However I waited about 30 minutes until I went to the counter and inquired about my meal. It seemed like they forgot it all together. While the employee was apologetic and friendly, Im disappointed in the service I received. I used to work in the fast food industry, so I totally understand issues with staffing and running out of food and would be okay if this was an isolated event, but this isn't the first time. My girlfriend and I spent 10 minutes in line behind three other people. When we finally got to the front of the line, we weren't even acknowledged. We waited patiently (or as patiently as possible in our state of hunger) for 5 minutes without so much as a word from any of the 4 employees working there - it seemed like they were purposely avoiding eye contact. They spent the whole time working on a carry out order. Finally, we walked out without ever having a single word spoken to us and 15 minutes of our lives wasted. The Ames location servings are much smaller then the one that comes to my work. Too over priced for the little amount of food that was in my container. Also if the drive thru attendant wants side first then she needs to as what side instead of what would you like after I said plate. Also I ordered Rangoon's. Opens my container and sweet and sour. I asked if they don't give sauce with it. She said only if customers want it. I said maybe you should ask the customer if they want it instead of assuming the customer will ask for it she then told me to I have to be so mean to me. I said I'm give you customer service advice. Believe me if I wanted to be mean I would have told her to act like she wanted to take my order. Not uncommon to stand at the counter for several minutes before being waited on, drive-through seems to be much higher priority. Also, the hours are absolutely ridiculous for a fast-food restaurant in a college town - 9pm close on a Friday night? Are you kidding? And it's Panda, so really it's more like 8pm unless you want congealed leftovers... Come on guys, play to your market!
