I needed to go to the mall. It was early afternoon, and I was hungry, so I parked near the Food Court entrance and went in. Chinese sounded good. I walked over to Panda Express to survey the offerings. I find it particularly annoying when menus are difficult to locate, read or understand. Their menu board was posted high above the counter (great location, easy to see). Unfortunately the type was a thin font and a small size. It was difficult to read 10 feet away. As an added challenge, the prices were in an even smaller print. Frustrating event #1. I approached the counter. There were no paper menus or prices to be seen anywhere. Frustrating event #2. I ordered a combo plate: two entrees and one side. I walked away with "fried rice", sweet sesame chicken and black pepper beef. When my food was handed to me, no utensils, condiments or napkins were offered or mentioned. Looking around, I discovered the bin of plastic utensils and chopsticks. But still no condiments (soy sauce, hot mustard, plum sauce) or napkins in sight.... none anywhere. Frustrating event #3. I found a table and sat down. As I surveyed my order, every item looked "tired". Nothing looked fresh... just tired. The first two bites set the stage. And then it went downhill. Small, thin chicken pieces were over-breaded and drying out. The pepper beef had no peppery taste anywhere to be found. Fried rice was not fluffy, but rather thousands of tiny, dry pellets of rice starch. Zero flavor. By the fifth bite it crossed my mind to just close the lid, part ways and move on with my life. However, I was hungry and, in reality, I am way too cheap to throw edible food away. I was hoping this was going to be a place I could enjoy when I came to the mall. After paying a "premium" charge of $1.25, I got a very sad looking bowl of honey walnut shrimp (my photo speaks itself how sad it looks). It came to my attention that a Yelp friend of mine had virtually the same experience 1,200 miles way in California: the Walnut Park location (https://www.yelp.com/biz/panda-express-walnut-park). She has posted her sad looking bowl of beef and broccoli in case you're interested. Is this just a coincidence or a corporate policy? I come to suspect the latter. I got a message from Alex M. from the Panda Express Business Customer Service. So did my Yelp friend (yes, from Alex M). I contacted their Guest Relations as Alex suggested, and I requested a refund. They said they would refund the money if I have the receipt. Sorry, I don't keep all my receipts, and I don't think I'm alone on this. Obviously, there are unhappy Panda Express customers all over the country, and the corporate office has assigned Alex M. to deal with damage control online. I had to voice my concern here because otherwise people would think that Panda Express responses to customer complaints. We didn't expect gourmet Chinese food by any means but what's offered here is a very average array of dishes geared toward lovers of batter-fried options. If you don't eat deep-fried food your options are significantly narrowed and everything has more or less the same brown sauce so there are no unique, stand-out flavors. The day we were there, there were only about four non-fried choices. And the steamed white rice! How do you take all the flavor out of rice? We actually suspect that it might be pre-cooked in some factory somewhere and supplied to the restaurant ready-to-serve (this chain is large enough to do that). read more

Staff are rude about masks and then won't properly wear on themselves. I get following what you see as rules for your company but when your not following then you loose that leverage if you ask me. Also food is extremely over cooked and hard to eat compared to other locations read more

Honestly, this mall suffered through the pandemic and the last time that I was at this panda express was probably about five years ago. It felt a lot different this time around as the guy working was not the most enthusiastic nor customer service-based and had not really added anything to our experience. Don't get me wrong, I know this isnt a dine in restaurant by any means, but a "hello" or merely speaking to us could have added to our interaction. We had ordered the plate combo which has rice or noodles and two entrées. I had gotten noodles, orange chicken, and green beans and beef and then we got a fried rice combo with beef and broccoli and orange chicken. For starters, the selection wasn't as large as it usually is, as it only featured items on one side of the glass instead of having a whole array of items (which I get, is probably by demand or determined by busy-ness). Everything we got would have been our usual suspects and easy crowd pleasers as fast food Chinese goes, but it all sort of fell flat. Chicken seemed extra battered, rice and noodles felt not as fresh and things just really weren't too enjoyable. It wasn't enough for us to go back and say anything of course because it's not like it was inedible or served cold and at the end of the day it's just a food court. Am I still going to order Panda Express? Probably LOL. But this was just one experience that was underwhelming. read more

I like this place. We ordered a three dishes big plate combo. The portion was generous. Enough to share between two people. The fried sweet sesame chicken was well flavored and with a little bit spicy. This was my favorite. $9 was a reasonable price, we were full both. The fortune cookie was also a bonus. read more

Food was mediocre and I was limited to options since half was old and dried out. Watched the cashier handle cash and then serve customers 3 times over. Work on cleanliness cuz it's rly not that hard to change your gloves. Also mall is open to sit down dining with plenty of kids not wearing mask beware. read more

Sometimes I have a real craving for Chinese fast food, and Panda Express takes care of me really well. My favorite is the honey sesame chicken, honey walnut prawns and chow mein. The prawns are a "premium" selection and cost $1.25 more, but I always find it's worth it. There are lots of choices of chicken, beef, veggies, rice and noodles to choose from, and portions are so generous there, my hubby and I sometimes even split a plate of food. The chow mein was not super hot today, but I have had it fresh out of the pan before, and the flavor is usually consistent. The food was quick, and they were able to get through the line-up fairly fast. read more

Food wasn't that bad but service wasn't that great either. The lady working was very rude whenever I or my husband asked her a question about the food and we had to repeat everything twice. She had some stitches on her nose or something to be exact. Hopefully she pays more attention next time. Oh and my veggie spring rolls were sad. They were smaller in size compared to the other rolls that were in the same dish. Just a suggestion maybe you want to separate the veggie food from the meat food just in case you ever get a really strict vegetarian customer that doesn't like their food mixed in with non-vegetarian food. Daughter wanted Chinese for her short lunch break. Ordered at 2:03 and was told 4 minute wait on chow mean. Then I was told 1 minute at 2:17. I asked for the manager at 2:20. She offered a little extra veggies to compensate for the long wait which was not over. I told her no thanks, I wouldn't be back. Food was finally ready at 2:33. Daughter woofed the average tasting Chinese food down so she could be back at her job by 2:45. Basically, a very badly managed restaurant. read more

The staff was actually really rude it was two girls doing everything no one was ordering or anything so we went up they had almost no food and asked us to wait 5-8 minutes 12 minutes later the food we needed came out and a whole rush of people came instead of serving us who already paid and ordered they servered the people that just came up using all of the food and got attitude with me when I asked why and told me I needed to wait paitently or leave without my food after 20 minutes of them serving other people the second batch of what we needed came out and I walked up and said serve us now she did not like that served two of our three and tried to tell us to go even though we paid for all three after arguing she reluctantly served the third I walked away realized she gave us no napkins straws or forks I went back and when I walked up she asked what I was doing back she already gave me my food I told her what I needed she tossed the forks and straws on the counter and when I said I needed napkins then pointed to the napkins that was on the counter she said they didn't have any even though I was looking at them? So I just walked away but all in all I won't be coming back I go there quit often and order 2-4 bowls and plates each time for my friends and they have never been like that before but with those workers there never again. They also yelled at another lady who asked when her order was gonna be done because they weren't serving her either even though they came right after us. and did not get served for another 10 minutes after we got our food read more

Food was hot, tasted amazing, everything was clean, the manager was friendly, and apologized for the long wait, but I understood it is the mall leading up to christmas, they were gonna be busy but everyone was friendly and made sure each customer was taken care of in a friendly professional manner. The server was Noah W. and he was great. They were out of the vegie side, but he said it would be 5 minutes. He completed the payment, put my name on a container. In less than 5 minutes he called my name and finished the order while I watched. He was fast, friendly, and had a mature demeanor. I like to eat at Panda Express all the time. I am a frequent customer that never has consistent service. To start, the kung pao is never good and yet I continue to order it hoping that one day it will be. It tends to be undercooked and is always mushy. Portions are so inconsistent and quite sad. One day I'll have a great portion and be pleasantly surprised. When I go back hoping for the same, it's a cheap amount for the price and it's not okay. There is one young man that works at the counter that is always nice and delivers excellent service. I can't remember his name, but he always makes it an enjoyable visit. On the other hand, there is one young lady that tends to always be sneaking food to eat when nobody is at the counter. I spent 10 minutes one day watching her chow down on samples. She would scoop some food out using sample cups and turn away to shove it in her mouth. I'm not sure if this is allowed or not, but it is disgusting and should not be done. As a fast food establishment, you'd think that they would always put the food in a bag with fortune cookies and ask if you need any sauce. But no. I ALWAYS have to ask for sauce and cookies, and they seem to assist me with a scowl. read more
