Very friendly staff and the chef greeted me with my order which consisted of fried chicken wings, very crispy and fresh and meaty wings ( $7.95 ) and pork fried rice, the rice was fluffy and nice flavor. I don't know why there is a general low rating for this restaurant but I order delivery from them ALL the time and they are hands down the best American style Chinese in Bellingham. Definitely get the Har Gow dim sum. The classic orange chicken lovers will enjoy it too, their batter is extra crispy and you can order sauce on the side. The place looks like a hole-in-the-wall place, and it pretty much is. The decore is set from the '90s. The kitchen looks like it needs a good cleaning. When paying by credit card, the person walked away for a while to do something else as the receipt was printing, not returning for a noticeable delay. The food was just-ok. Kung Poe should have flavor to it, and it was somewhat bland. I was hoping for a little more punch to the dish. I ordered a full order and received half the size of other restaurants. The price was also 20% higher priced for the same order. (note the photo of a half-sized container as compared to another Chinese takeout.) I wanted to be impressed by this place. I was looking for a new fav restaurant to order from, and unfortunately, this will not be it. I ordered Moo Goo Gi pan, and it was not how I usually get it..Extremely dry and the rice was like saw dust. I also ordered Singapore mai fung, and the only thing I got a lot of was dry noodles.. Been my favorite Egg Foo Young for a long time here. And I lived in HK for several years! This place is awesome.

I ordered take out this past week and it was super delicious and even arrived earlier than expected. I ordered general tso's chicken off the lunch menu and there was so much I had enough leftovers for dinner! It came with fried rice and one crab rangoon. I also added an egg roll too and the whole order was just over 20 dollars! Fairly cheap for what ended up being two meals. I think my only regret was not ordering more crab rangoon. It was just so delicious, I wanted more! I look forward to when I will be able to dine in, but for now, I am definitely going to be ordering take out from here again! read more

Christmas Dinner for the WIN!! We were in a panic as our usual Christmas Chinese restaurant wasn't answering the phone - Lucky Panda to the rescue! My grandpa is not happy unless he has Egg Foo Young and he loved the order he got - and I loved my sesame chicken! We may have gone a little overboard, ordering close to $100 of food, but everyone was full, satisfied, and there were leftovers for days. We ordered one entree per person and we truly could have shared an entree between two, the portions were very generous. Its highly Americanized Chinese food but they were so friendly, fast, and exactly what we needed that night. Will it become a regular stop of ours? No... but it's certainly not awful by any stretch, and we will be back! read more

My favorite place for Chinese take out in Bellingham. The food is good and the price is right. Give me an order of house fried rice, house lo-mein and fried dumplings and I am a happy man. If you are looking for good chinese grub I think there is not better place in town. Sure I have had better in large towns like Vancouver but we are in Bellingham and the food here is better than anywhere else in town. I'm not sure why Anonymous A bothered to wite a review here instead of just writing one for Imperial Wok. You enjoy that 2 hour drive. The rest of us smart people will be noshing on Lucky Panda while you wait in traffic. Give them a try if you are in the mood for Chinese. I've always loved lucky panda, it was close to where I previously lived and super QUICK!! I'm giving three stars because I ordered dinner for a bday dinner for a family member and did the family of 4 deal and expected more. However, that could just be me and what I've experienced at previous places. However, for 2 people this place does great !!! I'd go back for dinner for myself but for a family meal I may have to order more next time to have some leftovers. read more

Sorry folks, not impressed here. My two entrees - schezuan chicken and mongolian beef were barely decent. The main complaint: way too many freaking onions! There was about three pieces of meat per each, but literally about two onions in each dish. The beef was chewy and the chicken was rubbery. The sauces in each of the dishes was okay and the veggies were not soft, but overall not impressed. Yes, the portions were generous but if you are after a ton of onions then you'll be very happy. I only ordered from Lucky Panda because I was starving, didn't have time to take a full lunch, and figured since the location was close to my business, it wouldn't take long for it to be delivered. Wrong. Almost an hour later I received my General Tso's chicken and was very...underwhlemed. Firstly, I know it's not a big deal, but when I placed the order they knew it was going to a business and I didn't receive a fork. I ended up going to the Asian restaurant next door (which I should have ordered from instead but I wanted something different) and asking them for a fork, which they graciously provided me. Also, I don't know if the delivery guy got lost and had to flip a bunch of U-turns or what, but the sauce from my dish had spilled all over the inside of the bag and was dripping everywhere when I tried to remove it. Minor grievances. However, the chicken was stringy and greasy and looked more like pork. I couldn't finish it. The broccoli that was served with it was chewy and definitely not fresh, as if it had been sitting out for a very long time. Even frozen broccoli has more crunch than whatever they gave me. The fried rice was all right but kind of bland, and the only thing I was able to finish. I paid $22 for my coworker and I, which is way too much for low grade chicken and old vegetables. If you REALLY want to try this restaurant, do not order the General Tso's chicken, and maybe have some Pepto Bismol handy. read more

Super delicious - this is our favorite find since moving to B'ham 6 months ago. We've ordered delivery twice (never been to the location), and the food has been impressive. Fresh ingredients and home-cooked taste, and the dishes billed as spicy are nicely spiced. We are vegetarian & pescatarian, so I can't speak to meat dishes, but the hot & sour soup is excellent (sort of craving some now as I write this), and my husband is crazy for the spicy scezhuan bean curd. Lucky Panda Restaurant - Delicious noodles - Chinese Near Me - Bellingham, Washington

Took a chance on this hole-in-the-wall type place - big mistake. The Chicken Lo Mein hardly had any chicken in it all, the noodles were tough and chewy and it had almost no flavor. Nothing makes me happier than simple and delicious Lo Mein - but this was so bad I just gave up on it. The Orange Chicken was soggy and equally flavorless. As my dining companion noted, "I could have powered through the awful texture if the sauce was good - but it isn't spicy or tangy or orange-y - it's not good" The Crab Rangoons had hardly any filling and instead of being crispy they were a bit rubbery. I love leftovers and hate to throw food away, but the only thing we saved from this (expensive) train-wreck of a meal was the rice and steamed vegetables. (but seriously $8 for that little plate of veggie?) Sometimes you can get lucky with a hole-in-the-wall place - but not at Lucky Panda. read more

The chicken was encased in this foamy breading, the consistency of something you'd pull out of a microwave, which they probably did. No crispiness, just bland bouncy breading.
