The staff here is super polite and courteous. We visited during the start of lunch and we got through within five minutes. This location is clean and there is decent amount of seating. There is also a lot of parking options. Overall the food is good. My friend enjoyed the dynamite chicken but it was too spicy for me. The teriyaki, beef and shrimp were all good. The shrimp was not as crispy though and the beef was not super hot like the rest of the food. This is a good Panda Express location. read more

I usually really like Panda Express -- it's honestly one of my favorite fast food places when I'm on the road. Because of my work, I travel a lot and I've eaten at Panda Express locations in many different states, probably over a hundred times, so I definitely have something to compare it to. Unfortunately, this time the portion was extremely small compared to what I usually get at other locations. It honestly felt like one of the smallest portions I've ever received at a Panda Express. The food itself was fine, but the portion size was disappointing, especially for the price. I hope the management can pay attention to this in the future, because customers do notice these things. Went their again today. Asked to not have the computer take my order. The person came on line and said that they get in trouble if you ask for a real person. But if I ask they will take my order. The person said I could come in and order or do it on line. If I wanted to come in I would have. I tried their web site that is a joke. You can only give them a short version of the facts. Then they send you a coupon for a add on if you order 2 meals. What a joke. If they do not want to take orders through the drive through. Close it down. AGAIN.... there were multiple items that were not ready for purchase. (and not available until the following day) 5:17pm - drive through. I tried to order mushroom chicken, and kung pow chicken (wanting nothing with breading) So the only other item that I would eat is the black pepper sirloin steak. However it had an up charge. I asked respectfully if the up charge could be removed, due to lack of not having menu items available. She asked me to repeat myself 3 times. I then asked for the manager, and she let me know that I had been talking to the manager. She refused to take off the up charge. I wouldnt have ordered the premium food, but I was forced to due to the location (Marion IL) not having food available. This is horrible customer service and a poor managed facility. read more

Absolute worst manager I've ever had to deal with, Jaylin Johnston, yes i named her bc she deserves to be named the way she treats customers, she sure Hates Senior Citizens. she needs to have some extended customer service training or better yet find a job where you have no face to face customer contact. she contradicts, corrects and condescends, not good to gaslight your customers, who most, like me won't be returning to Panda Express. this joint has the utter nerve to more often than not eschew customers' cash and announce Credit/Debit Card Only at the drive thru and signs inside the door and at the register-- the signs are neatly done professional quality, so it's an indicator that this location has "cash issues" quite often. that's a sure sign of a location with perpetual turnover and constant "trainees," whereby the Manager has to be there with the constant eagle eye on staff and can't make it to the bank. i've no problem with the food other than it's the typical amerikaized sweetened garbage. that's just the way is because of frivolous lawsuits by people claiming a Scovill heat rating of 550 almost killed them. and i'd rather the servings be doubled for $3 more. sometimes i just want the Styrofoam container heaped with fried rice and am willing to pay $12, but that's a no-can-do at Panda Express! had the Bejing Beef and it was sugar rush sweet even though a "pepper" entry on the menu. and as well it's strange if you want two "sides" you have to move up on the expense scale, which is stupid because the "sides" are their cheaper food that they make the bigger profit on. read more

They served me old and stale food intentionally. I have never been treated like this at a Panda Express ever before. This is literally over 25 years of being a customer. I am able to notice Stale food on the line. Never has it been a problem when I notify the servers that I am willing to wait on fresh product. They literally placed the Soggy & Stale food on the bottom of the order with two pieces of the fresh product on top as if a person would not notice. read more

Went there yesterday November 1st just after taking my Mom to go in for surgery. An employee walked in right before me. The sign said they opened at 10:30 AM. The door was locked. You could see them walking around. I was out there about 10 minutes and no one came and said anything! I decided to try the drive thru and I was rudely greeted by a girl saying we don't open till 11 because our truck was late. I told them they needed to put a sign on their door then. This Marion chain has always been so good. I have no idea where all the negative feedback is coming from. All the staff has always been nice and the food is always fresh. There was one time they were out of what I wanted, but it was because the delivery truck was stuck in icy weather and physically could not get his truck there. I received Horrible service from Diana who wasn't listening to me. I was over charged for food I didn't receive. Only one entree available. Store was dirty and this was 3 in the afternoon. Then I receive a survey asking how customer care resolved my issue after filing complaint yet never received a call from them. Horrible experience for my first visit. Allan was RUDE. We are vegan, and only wanted white rice and noodles and he gave us an attitude because we did not want an entree. They charged us $6.40 for 3 ozs of rice and noodles. Two slices of beef in Beef & Broccoli Bowl, really? I had a late lunch around 1:30pm. When I got there, most of trays are almost empty. I saw there are still 1/4 tray full of beef & broccoli, so that's what I ordered. I'll never imaging there were only two slices of beef in my bowl. I work nearby and love getting panda after work or when on break. When I was a vegetarian I enjoyed chow neon, spring rolls, and cream cheese Rangoons, but now that I am eating meat again I have since tried the orange chicken and it's great, the food is always fresh tasting and great. They offer samples if you're unsure of what to order, which is helpful if you don't know what anything tastes like there. They offer a wide selection of drinks, both fountain and bottled, along with healthy drink options. Store is always fairly clean and the line moves quickly. My only complaint is that the drive thru is very very slow sometimes, but the food is worth the wait. read more

Honestly IDK where the negative reviews are coming from on the Marion location! This particular Panda Express has some of the best food I've had. Maybe it's the time of day I always come by? But the Honey Walnut Shrimp and chow mein is to die for! I come by here for lunch every time I'm in Marion for work. This location will never fail to disappoint. I realize the cooks here aren't award-winning or outstanding by any means, but how do y'all mess up simple things like plain RICE? I'm not kidding, every single time I have ordered plain and/or fried rice from this location the grains are hard and dry. Every time. It's pretty evident that whoever is in charge of preparing the rice has never dealt with cooking rice until they landed this job or something. I ate at a Panda Express in the Bradley IL area a few weeks ago and it was pretty good, so my son and I decided to try the one here in Marion IL I got a a beef dish with green beans and onions. I had almost finished my meal when I bite into a particularly large piece of beef--I was shocked to see it was completely raw inside. Yuck--I don't like my beef rare. For our first time, We tried the drive thru & wasn't impressed with the quality of the food. We received mostly veggies & hardly any meats. Not wanting to write off the restaurant without giving them a fair shake, we went in & had our meal. We visited between 7-8pm. If I had looked @ the tables, floor & windows before we ordered, we would have left & not come back! It was EXTREMELY nasty, tables were dirty, there was trash overflowing from the can, & the drink area had liquid all over the straw, lid area as well as a puddle of what looked like water pooled in the floor coming from under the cabinet. The windows looked like they hadn't been cleaned since it opened! The line employees were very friendly & knew the menu, but the cashier was more interested in talking to her friend who was in front of us in line. She didn't say "hi" or acknowledge us in any way, just said the total & continued to talk to her friend. Very unprofessional! The food was good with a nice balance between the rice & the meat, but looking around @ how dirty the restaurant was made you wonder if they didn't consider the dining area part of the restaurant. The trash can was emptied while we were there, but the trash that fell on the floor, was left right where it landed! There needs to be a training on what is acceptable & what is not! He looked @ it like "if I stare @ it long enough it will jump in the bag"! I can't say whether or not we will be back, @ this point the answer is a definite NO! Very disappointing! read more
