Never told me or asked if I would sit in while she went, and I would have. She did not like that I reported that to the agency, so then she took it to a criminal level. She called the agency and the probate attorney I HIRED for my mother, and told them I left a voice message on "mom's" home phone, that I was "going to smother her with a pillow". Instead of the agency coming out to the house, to listen to see if this really happened, they instructed ADRIANNA, to kidnap my mother, (whom I am the trustee) and take her to her friends house for the entire weekend. Adrianna has several last name aliases I also found out. Don't these places do any kind of background check on mentally ill employees? Nobody called the police? WHY NOT if I left this message? There was no message. She is just an instigator and very mentally unstable. For 3 days, nobody would tell me where she was. I was so angry at them, when they finally told me! They claimed they were making sure my mother was fine Forget their INSANE worker who was quickly fired. No written apology or anything. What a nightmare. Adrianna prompted by my greedy sister who lives in Florida, came to the probate hearing to try and slander me. The judge questioned her about "leaving mom alone", and she admitted it, so her lack of credibility was verified that moment. I am still the trustee and she it still out there, perhaps with your mom? Creepy she did not even get arrested or reported by TENDER LIVING CARE? Glastonbury CT., one would think, would do better. I bet, they are giving her another chance since they are so hard up for competent help. Imagine you paying an agency and them hiring someone who hides your mom on oxygen, in a wheel chair for the weekend? Walk away......

I have a close family friend over the age of 90 that uses services from companions and homemakers…read more As I stood outside ringing the doorbell for 5 minutes in 25 degree weather while my friend was in the restroom I finally had to call the house to see if everything is okay inside. My friend was left alone in the restroom while his caregiver sat wrapped up in a blanket watching television. The caregiver claimed she did not hear the doorbell, and she surely would not be able to hear my friend requesting assistance. After he got out of the restroom I proceeded to make him some dinner. She was the most unprofessional caregiver I have ever met and was dressed like she had just come out of a homeless shelter wearing a baggy pair of sweatpants and a holey t-shirt. He has had a couple of capable caregivers however I would not let them pet sit for me. I would advise if you use this company to pop in unannounced on a regular basis to check on your loved ones! Unfortunately I can't submit this review without giving them a rating however they do not have a zero on the scale so I have to choose one.

The toilets are the cheapest super low style where an elderly person can't get off the seat without assistance. I pay over $3,000 a month with no private room. Only $75 a month spending money for your own private needs. Very cramped you can't even fit a wheelchair through it. Very surprised it's not a fire hazard. Most nurses and aides are very rude. Can't recommend!!! You can do much better locally than this place where naturepathic medicine is integrated into the patients care!!! My personal grievance with this place is that on 3 occasions my pay was short, there was no attempt by anyone to rectify the situation. I have called countless times and the administrator refuses to talk to me. They clearly don't treat their employees right, while I was there I heard similar stories from several co workers, their vacation time being taken away unexpectedly, not getting paid overtime, missing money from checks. Management is effectively stealing from their staff, and hoping they can get away with it. As far as resident care goes, it's just as bad. The residents would frequently state that their needs weren't met, and their concerns went unheard. Several of them had very serious concerns, but expressed that during a state survey no one talked to them, despite specifically asking to speak to a state worker. Most of the employees here, from what I saw give their best effort to accommodate the needs of the residents. It's really hard to take care of this many people effectively with the delapidated state of this building. It's pretty shocking given the location that this facility is anything less than amazing. The owners should really consider investing some money into this building, providing adequate resources for their staff, making sure they're compensated properly, and ensuring the residents are receiving the quality of life they deserve. In my short time there it felt pretty clear that none of these things were their priorities.

Bookkeeping is poor. After services not provided for 6 months, a weeks worth of cost of care was subtracted from my account without notification. I learned that the first week of service in June had not been billed. All other bills had been paid. I was not alerted that there were any outstanding bills nor was I made aware that there would be funds automatically and unexpectedly deducted from my credit card six months after services were stopped. This was not my error but an agency book keeping error. It took the agency 6 months to find this error. They said they were sorry.
