Visiting family for Christmas in Siren WI, last minute, no plans so we impromptu looked for any place open on Christmas to have dinner for 5 people. Growing up Jewish I remember we used to sometimes get Chinese on Christmas because almost every other place was closed.... anyway , this place was a 45 min drive in below zero ice and snow temps , but we got there and had a very nice dinner. Menu was broad and had a lot to offer. Hot and sour soup was great especially in the cold weather. Service was so nice and friendly... food was very good but certainly not the best I've ever had. Set your expectations properly for small town Chinese and you won't be disappointed. Coming from Chicago and moving to the NW corner of the state, let's just say we didn't come here for the cuisine, but this restaurant is an abomination of even the hint of Chinese food. I stood there waiting for my order, and it was cold, and tasteless not to mention the globs of congealed fat sitting on top of the supposed vegetable fried rice. I also ordered the Mongolian Beef which had "gone bad" It was inedible, and while I had no time to return it I was willing to put it in the freezer and take it back the next time I was in town, but the owner of the restaurant said I had to bring it back immediately for a refund. So glad we chose this place to stop! Got done kayaking and boy were we hungry. You walk in and order and then have a nice dining room option to sit at, or lots of people picking up call ins. Nice relaxing spacious atmosphere. Great food! Big plates, the four of us shared two entrees and got extra wontons and egg rolls. Cindy came and checked if there was anything worse we needed and how the food was very nice!! A MUST STOP!! Love this place!! Definitely coming back next time we are in town. We have been to Chinese restaurants all over Minnesota, Wisconsin and California but have never had food as bad as this. We ordered shrimp egg foo yun, kung poa chicken and chicken lo mein. All 3 taste the same, no spices, no flavor, no difference, the 3 dishes were flavorless. We used to visit often under the old management where the food was very good. The change in ownership included the change in food flavor. I am sorry but I will no longer be supporting your restaurant. read more

The food was terrible. I Ordered the Burbon chick with fried rice and the rice was only sticky rice with soy sauce on it, nothing fried about it.. The chicken tasted like it came out of the microwave and was looked sickly. I asked if I could get something else but I was told I would be charged full price! They made no effort in making me a happy customer so I left it on the table and paid $13.00 for nothing... The cream cheese Wong tons tasted like the grease has been there for at least 6 months.. I was with 3 other people who also left their food and not happy.. I'm currently not feeling well.. I will not recommend nor go back to this establishment! read more

Fully confused over the reviews of this place. We drive past every weekend on the way to our cabin and the Yelp reviews finally compelled us to stop. Oh my word, we were so disappointed in our take-out. My Schezuan chicken with "veggies" was chicken and loads of water chestnuts in an extremely sweet, almost medicinal sauce. Totally inedible! My husband's Mongolian beef was the better of the two but even that we could barely pick at. Terrible sauces and lots of filler. We even thought the cream cheese wontons were awful. Fried dough and cream cheese - something I never would have considered screw-upable. This might seem extreme - but even the soy sauce packets were off. Giving two stars instead of one because the quality of the meat seemed pretty decent. My husband will pretty happily eat anything and even he was grossed out. I sat on my comments for a few days because I was really pissed. We go here fairly often, getting takeout. However, it wasn't crowded here Saturday, so we decided to dine in. Big mistake. It was 7ish. I ordered sweet and sour pork. First, none of the employees/servers had masks on. Second, the sweet and sour sauce was brought to our table in a styrofoam container. I presumed it was hot. I poured it on my hot food only to find it was still chilled from the fridge. I dealt with it. However, the veggies that were in my food were also cold, not even room temp. They could've at least faked it and microwaved the SS sauce and veggies. I would've never known. I wasn't happy. They were trying to make any excuse. They brought me a new plate. I didn't get any pineapple in it this time. I asked for a refill on tea. It didn't come. I went up to get it. A person different than the person who picked up the glass went to the tea dispenser and started to fill a used glass that was already sitting under the spout. I asked him if he was sure that was the right glass bc he wasn't the one who picked up the glass. He told me yes. I told him I wanted a new glass bc he's not the one who picked up the glass. As another customer walked out, the customer made a smart-ass comment that "you are great, and my food wasn't cold." The employee who tried to give me a used glass did a slow clap and laugh for the exiting customer. That was when I got pissed. They never came back to our table. We generally spend around $50 each time we go here. We won't be back for a very long time. read more

Went there for the first time yesterday and had to go back today. Impressed both times. I love spicy foods and am desensitized to most but the hot and hospital hot options made my nose run! I recommend for either carry out or dine in. I'm only in SCF for a couple weeks on business but plan to frequent this establishment. Food was served hot and not just warm! I had carry out last night and checked in to my hotel. Took me 20 minutes or more to settle in and start eating food was still hot and steamy! Well done panda king color me impressed! read more

Eh would not bother to come back. Not sure what all the hype is, food was mediocre at best. Ordered a spicy chicken item and it was sweet, not any hint of spiciness. Ordered pork chowmein and the meat had a weird freezer burn flavor. Pot stickers were good, and egg rolls were just okay. We wanted Chinese for our last evening in St Croix Falls, and after reading reviews of restaurants in the area, we decided on Panda King for take out. We walked in and were greeted by 3 people behind the counter. WE placed our order for Chicken w/broccoli, Beef w/broccoli, Chicken Fried Rice and 1 Eggroll. The restaurant was fairly crowded with seated patrons as well as those waiting for their orders to go. It was quiet, clean and smelled like delicious food was coming out of the kitchen! When we got our order back to the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised that it was VERY hot and with generous portions. The EggRoll was crunchy with just the right amount of seasoning. I ate it in 2 bites. Both the Chicken & Beef Broccoli were perfectly seasoned and the brown gravy they were in was outstanding. The Chicken Fried Rice was bursting out of the carton and was the perfect compliment to both Entrees. We had enough to take home with us and enjoy for a second, albeit small, meal. We read through all of the reviews of Panda King , some good, some obviously not and some, well, you wonder what a few people were expecting when they came to a Chinese Restaurant. Our experience was First Rate from start to end and we would highly recommend Panda King to anyone who is craving a 'Chinese Fix'! Well done folks......we will be back! read more

SCF offers very few good places to eat but this place is consistently good and quick. Both entrees and appetizers are good and they have fantastic crispy chicken wings. I would actually suggest this is the best food you can get in town. Sesame chicken is good, fried rice and lo mein are good. Plus open over Christmas is a nice bonus. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with Panda King. It was at the height of the dinner hour and the place was busy. The staff was pleasant and efficient. The food was the best Chinese food I've had since leaving New Jersey. The food was freshly prepared, presented very well, hot and delicious. The food arrived quickly and the portions were enough to feed two. I ate way too much! I highly recommend Panda King, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I should also note that they called me by name when I ordered, the food was brought to the table and when I was leaving. The portions are very large (yummy leftovers) so I ate half in the restaurant and took the other half to go. I was pretty excited to dig into the leftovers for my lunch at work today when I came across a 12" strand of black hair cooked into my egg foo yung patty.....ICK! Up in SCF from Twin Cities staying at a friend's cabin on Deer Lake. PKC sounded very good from reviews and did not disappoint. The gal at the counter on Tuesday night was great to us and our 3 and 5 year old grandsons. Restaurant was clean and smelled great when we walked in. Mongolian beef was fantastic with lots of meat and their special brown sauce. Portions were huge. Cream cheese wontons were crispy and delicious. Egg rolls were really good with lots more than just cabbage. This is a must stop if you are staying or traveling through the area. As good or better than our favorite place back home! read more

Their portions are great, and their prices are extremely competitive with the surrounding fast food joints. This is the worst Asian food I've ever had. The lo mien had so much brown sauce that all I could taste was salt. We had ordered a vegetarian lo mien, but it came with small pieces of chicken and a pork egg roll.
