I took this bus from Albany NY to NYC and I was sitting below the emergency exit. It started to rain and it leaked through the emergency exit onto me and many other seats. I moved seats for the time being to someone who was sleeping - he later woke up and accused me of stealing his wallet. I moved seats again and he yelled at me and another passenger and threatened and said if he had a gun it would of been a different story. Not one of the workers kicked him off or offered any assistance. He was making a big scene and me and the other passenger moved all the way to the front where he told the bus driver to not let me off the bus. After I got off, I saw him waiting for me and following me around and that was when I ran into Old Navy in Herald Square and ran to a worker crying saying some guy is following me. Which he in fact followed me into the store and started to harass me even further. read more

I had the worst experience on PandaNYBus services over Christmas/ New Years break. On my way from NYC to Charlotte, NC the bus met up with another driver in an empty parking lot and had everyone going to Charlotte get on a different bus (even though the ticket said no transfers). The driver on the second bus pulled off before I was able to find seating and was in no way concerned about passenger safety. On my way back to NYC from Charlotte, the driver was speeding so fast down the highway the front tire blew out. After waiting for over two hours on the cold bus, passengers were finally notified of the impediment. However, the problem was that the spare tire had a bent rim and therefore that is what caused myself as well as fellow passengers to be late for work or miss a days pay entirely. I will NEVER take this bus service EVER again. They could not pay me. read more

I've been using this bus company for five years and sometimes there's a little time delay which is understandable because mishaps sometimes occur but I have never in all the years using this company have I experienced such inconsiderate and blatant disregard for their passengers. I purchased an 11pm ticket from North Carolina to New York when I arrived at the pickup location there was a sign indicating that the 11:45 pm bus was cancelled and the next bus which was my bus would be 45 minutes late this happened to me on my way down. I was okay with that because what could I do but wait. But at 11:45 there wasn't a bus. I went inside the very hot office to ask the dispatcher if he knew the eta for the next bus he said he had no clue because the driver didn't inform him and he had no way of contacting him. So I went back outside because it was cooler outside than inside to wait. By this time I've been standing for more than an hour because I got there early. The bus finally arrived at 1:10 am so this means I've been standing more than 2 hours because I have respiratory problems and outside was better than inside. There were no apologies for our inconvenience it was business as usual as if he wasn't more than 2 hours late. I was to arrive in New York at 10:30 am I arrived at 1:35 pm. I am giving go to bus zero stars for there inconsideration and inefficient business skills. Never again I will go Amtrak or by plane. I had to give 1star to be able to post my review but I don't mean it. Long time and outraged customer. read more

Terrible experience. Rude staff, dirty buses, bad trip. No AC in a new, nice bus. Miserably hot in the middle of the night while it's freezing outside. Overbooked the bus, if we hadn't gotten here early, we wouldn't have gotten a seat. 10 people had to get off the bus and go without a ride since there weren't enough seats. People had to pay $40 for babies to come on the bus as well. Bathrooms are disgusting, no air conditioning, staff are rude and horrendously poor communicators. Will not ever use this service again, will not ever recommend this service to anyone I know. read more

I called again and demand a status. I was told I can reschedule to a 11:45 pm bus or the next day. I then asked for a refund and was told its the bus company I have to call. Yeah, this bus was cheap alright. And you can definitely see why. I was going from NY to Baltimore and I needed some cheap bus fare, but this was not worth it at all. First of all, the bus station was pretty filthy, and just unfriendly. None of the people working the stands could speak any English, and started yelling the same words when they couldn't answer questions. The bust driver was also constantly yelling on the phone and disturbing everyone else on the bus who were trying to sleep since it was pretty late at night. It was by far the most grimy experience I've ever had in transportation, and even though it's cheap, I highly recommend finding ANY other way around. read more

Worst experience of my life! Thought I was making a reservation on an Akai bus! Bus was 2 hrs late picking me up, it was filthy, bathrooms unusable & in the bus stations as well! Driver had an altercation with a passenger, screaming & yelling. Drivers also talking on phones using bluetooth ear plugs! My E-ticket said Charlotte,NC to Opelika, Alabama, but I was taken to Atlanta Panda Bus Station. From there I was put in a personal minivan with no marking, driven to Columbus, Ga to drop off another passenger, then on to Opelika! Van smelled of cigarettes. There were many times during this journey when I did not feel safe, plus I was charged $100, one way, for a CLT to Opelika ticket. Others on the bus were paying $30 for a NYC to Atlanta ticket!!! I sent an email in the efforts of getting a return on an overcharging. I ordered my ticket online only to have the cashiers cancel my order, not inform me and created conditions whereby I was forced to purchase, cash only teckets for more than the online costs. Both female cashiers were rude and condescending!!! I verified what was concocted and the upset them. The online schedule does not match what they post in the window of the depot waiting room/store!!! I wonder how many other folks they hoodwinked with the ole bate and switch? I tried to use this bus last summer (June 2017) for a family vacation that included my senior parents. I wish it had never been suggested to me; it was the worst experience! The bus was over an hour late for pick up. The man driving it did not speak English. When I showed him my tickets at the bus door, he shoved me back into my elderly parents and threw my ticket aside. He then pulled the bus about 6 feet forward, stopped the engine, looked outside at us (we were alone at this point) and drove away. I immediately called the company to see what the deal was, they said the driver had been 'a little' late but was there, and that no one was waiting for a ride. I asked for a refund, explaining the situation again, still refused the refund. When I returned home from the trip, try 3 on a refund. No deal. Ended up turning it into fraud on my credit card, who handled it quickly and painlessly. Company deserves zero stars. read more

I purchased a ticket for 7:30 and arrived at the station at 7:20. I was happy because I felt that I would make it to Baltimore at least around 11. Little did I know what I were in for. The staff was very rude and didn't speak well enough English to assist and direct people. When the bus finally arrived at 9:00, I ask the gentleman who were checking tickets if this bus were going to Maryland. He stated no this bus is going to Atlanta. After 20 minutes of waiting there while passengers board the bus. I happen to ask another staff memeber what time will the bus be here that's going to Maryland. He told me that the bus that's going to Atlanta will stop at Maryland. At this time I'm pissed off because of the lack of successful communication amongst staff to riders. Right before that happened a woman was trying to fight the staff for a refund. Once again for bad communication and buses not leaving at the scheduled time. They were honestly terrible at what they were getting paid for. After getting on the bus there were no outlets to charge my mobile device. Even though people had tickets they paid for, they were working on a first come first serve basis. Let's say you buy a 8 PM ticket and you didn't arrive in time. They will allow people to buy they way on the bus until every seat is filled, waiting for passengers to fill every seat. The people who were technically late have now arrived, and they're trying to get on the same bus where they seat were auctioned away.This is ridiculous and completely unfair. They didnt have a successful system and they weren't professional. I guess you get what you pay for, if I didn't miss my Megabus schedule. I would have never encounter such despicable and inconsiderate service. Before getting on the bus, drivers claimed that they didn't know what their bus destination were. They needed confirmation from another employee, there were too much issues with the language barrier. For 3 buses there was one guy that was checking tickets. This night has truly been a disaster. I would keep writing about what I encountered tonight but I have to conserve my battery, due to no power sockets. SMH! If this company can't provide exceptional service to the public they need to be shut down until further notice. If I could've left less than a 1* rating I would. read more
