The cutest Chinese place I have been to. Lots of cute decor, plants and clean fish tanks. really impressed! The seating is limited though, 6 tables. friendly service, reasonable prices, good food! I will come back for sure.

Beef and string beans, add a pork eggroll.

As Van and some others said: fast, cheap, friendly, and decent but not amazing food. I needed to grab a quick lunch while up this way, and swung in hoping for the best. And left satisfied. A typical strip mall Chinese place, plus a few extras. The usual menu items, but also quite a few Thai dishes and some good specials. I had the beef with string beans, a lunch special. Decent, slightly tough beef, fresh green beans, a mild brown sauce, white rice. Big portion, and I enjoyed it. Added a pork egg roll- very thin, though long, so the volume was the same as a normal one. Pretty darn good. Canned pop, flimsy plasticware. All that for less than $10. The place is small, but clean and kept in shape. The owners are friendly. It's nothing spectacular, but cheap and fast will get you a long way, and the bonus of some interesting menu items means I will keep this in mind for future lunches.

This is our favorite Gahanna area Chinese food to go option for a few reasons. The owner is very friendly, food is prepared quickly, portions are decent and they use fresh vegetables. A lot of stir fry places use frozen or processed veggies but they use the real deal. Additionally, the egg rolls are nice and thin so they get a good crisp. I also like that they serve to go orders in a solid plastic container so I can reuse it for other things. Overall, a good option for basic Chinese food.

Excellent lunch!

So the egg roll hype got to me so I did the hour round trip to Asian Kitchen near Easton. Got 4…read morerolls (2 in freezer now) steamed dumplings, wonton soup, hot sour soup, and twice cooked pork. Egg rolls. Yep, worth the drive. Wish they were fist busting size like the old days. But they fit the bill well. Fresh hot mustard raised the bar. Dumps. Owner tried to talk me into frying them. I said nope. Nice old school chewy dough exterior, the filling was ample tho a bit bland. The vinegar dipping sauce brought em back to life. Soups. No complaints. The wonton broth was quite savory, nice plump wontons along with sliced char su and mushrooms. Hot and sour had a good deep taste and an ok amount of ingredients. Needed a lil more fire. Twice cooked pork. Saving it for later but looks legit. Lots of tasty cabbage which is the signature. Though the use of char su instead of pork loin is off target I suspect it will be ok. Still miss the Hunan House version that left their menu a few years back. I'll go back one day and try some other stuff, their salt pepper wings and shrimp toast and fried rice dishes looked good in photos.

The food is delicious, always fresh and prepared well. Chef's kiss on the shrimp Egg Foo Young…read more Best in Columbus. This review is for takeout: Lantern was recommended by a number of Blacklick locals, so my…read moreexpectations might have been too high, but food was just fine. We ordered sweet and sour chicken, vegetable lo mein, an egg roll, steamed rice, and yum yum sauce. I was surprised that all our dishes were fairly bland; I found myself dumping soy sauce on the lo mein, for instance, to get any flavor. The yum yum sauce was much more like a honey mustard than any other version of that sauce I ever had, and neither my daughter nor I liked it. Sweet and sour chicken was decent: chicken was not greasy or had too much breading, which i appreciated. Portions were not huge, unlike a lot of other Chinese restaurants, especially given the price. Fine, but I'll be looking for other Chinese restaurants for take out in the future.

We ordered our usual Lantern Chicken, one egg roll and crispy chow mein noodles. It was $19. We…read morealways got a full container of Lantern Chicken and a paper container of rice. This time they put the rice and the Lantern Chicken in the same container and it's a smaller container. You're getting less for more money. We called and they tried to say we were getting the same amount because they said they measure it. How can you get the same amount if the container is smaller? More lies. We are now done ordering from them. And we have been ordering from them for over 20 years. Wish I could post a picture. Picture is an old container showing the size, second picture is the new container, which they say is the same size of food as the old container but 1/2 is now the rice.
