This place has really great customer service up front and okay service on the back end. We come here often and it is our favorite Panera in Central Illinois. It is always clean and the food comes up fast. We have had some issues with temperature of food, but with a little annoyance, they tend to fix it right up. read more

Difficult intereraction. Ordered in advance, online for next morning pickup. Arrived to be told quick pick up not allowed in drive thru and I'm had to park and go in. After explaining I preferred DT and being rebuffed, I went in. Waited at the counter to be then told I'm needed to go to the back of the restaurant to pick up my order from a counter. Frustrating conversation with the manager hearing what "corporate" rules were and no concern for my preference of DT pickup. Not a huge deal but zero interest in easily making me happy with logical no - effort courtesy of handing my advance order through the DT window. Call me the vanishing customer - next time: Einsteins gets my dollars. read more

I will at least never eat at this particular Panara ever again. For me the draw was always the staff were kind of hidden, today the manager was up in the staff and customers faces. He was screaming at a young shy girl for replacing the ice coffee. " WHAT ARE YOU DOING? PEOPLE WHO PUT ICE IN COFFEE DON"T CARE ABOUT TASTE. If that wasn't traumatic enough, my friend was outside on the phone with his drink, and when he came inside, the manager came up and accused him of brining in the cup for the first time. I've seen this kind of hostility from Panara managers before. They look so enraged when people are on the phone making deals and being movers and shakers. They're upset that they dont have the inititive and inntelligence to be on that end, and take it out on the customer. I don't know about all Panera managers, but this guy was a bully and a coward. read more

I do not care for their chicken salad sandwiches at all anymore, I wish they would bring back the old version they had probably 10 years ago. Also not a fan of the hazelnut cream cheese, ended up throwing half of the bagel away. Also did not have a good experience at the Lake Ave location. Staff that was handing you your food was not very friendly and seemed like everyone was coming back with something wrong or missing on their order. Butter tub out of butter. Just because you are behind the scenes, does not mean you don't have to be professional. Got a buzzer and it never went off, finally I checked a bag sitting on the counter & it was my bagel, then was chastised to put my buzzer back in the basket. The people at the cash register were fine, but the people behind the counter really brought down the experience. Have been to other Paneras and have not had this be the case before. read more

Amazing food every time. I've never had an order messed up here. I usually hit the drive through for a BBQ chicken flatbread.

This Panera needs to be managed better to ensure quality food and prompt service. I stopped in a few nights ago. I observed the kitchen staff to be unorganized and not taking pride in making or presenting the food for the guests. One young lady making sandwiches was hustling. Another young lady was refusing to make food and was just handing out the orders. The problems in efficiency created a 20 minute wait for a to go order. I ordered a broccoli cheese soup, chicken wild rice soup, Mac n cheese, and a roasted turkey cranberry flatbread. The soups were lukewarm. The Mac N Cheese was good and the wrap was poorly assembled and lacked flavor. I felt like the flatbread wasn't made correctly. The wrap had a very small amount of turkey and cranberry sauce. They ran out of the French baguette pieces. I did ask for dinner rolls and those were provided along with chips. The staff needs more supervision, motivation, attention to detail and energy! read more

This location never has bread bowels! I have frequently visited this location, not once have they had a bread bowel available past 5pm!

I don't think I'll ever be coming here again. I've come to the Westlake locations for several years and never had as much of a problem with service as I did today. Every employee I spoke with spoke down to me in a condescending manner. Highly disrespectful. I will go out of my way to go to any other business or any other Panera location other than this one. Of the past 5 times I've come here they are always out of the items I'd like to get, and are unapologetic about it. Never coming to this location again. read more

I usually love Panera but this was NOT a good experience. Went through the drive through and said loud and clear twice that I wanted half a salad, she asked "whole?", I said "no, HALF" went to pay and it seemed too expensive. Checked the receipt and got charged for the full. They fixed it and i got my half Green Goddess Cobb salad. It was 95% lettuce and tomatoes. Totally left off the bacon, it had one single piece of avocado and hardly any of the other toppings. Very disappointed. read more

Panera has a great atmosphere and very friendly staff. Their specialty drinks and baked goods are outstanding. However, the food menu is limited, small portioned, and over priced. A small bowl of soup, half sandwich (1 piece of bread with 1 slice of meat), and a drink cost $7.00. Are you kidding me?! A soup and a bread bowl, plus a drink also cost $7.00, and neither meal was anywhere near special. I was so disappointed! In the future, I will definitely stop by Panera for a drink and a chat with friends, but I will never order another meal there. read more

Great lunch today with fast service and great food. I really enjoy the baked potato soup. This my first visit to the new stand alone store.

This place has the best, fresh food! The bagels are great, spread with their reduced-fat flavored cream cheese! My favorites are the Asiago Cheese bagel with the Sun-dried Tomato cream cheese, and the Cinnamon Crunch bagel with the Honey Walnut cream cheese. Their sandwichs, soups and salads are also fresh and the best! My favs are the Asiago Roast Beef sandwich, Creamy Tomato soup and the Greek Salad. I also love the Strawberry Poppyseed salad, but it is only available in the summer. The prices are a little pricey, but the freshness and quality more than makes up for it. read more

I stopped into this location on 10/26. I ordered a toasted blueberry bagel with cream cheese. As I was waiting for my order, I watched the food prep staff serve two other customers. One young lady was given her tray of food, and began to walk away, stopped and returned and stood at the counter holding her tray, after a moment of waiting an employee asked what she needed, the young lady said she just needed a spoon for her soup, with an attitude the employee asked if she wanted a "plastic or real one" the customer uncomfortably said "either, i just need a spoon please" a second customer was given his food, also walked right back up and said "may i please have my chips" the employee said "no, you don't get any" he picked up his receipt that was on the tray given to him by the employee, and handed it back to her and showed her where it said he paid for chips, as all of this is going on, I'm just waiting for a toasted bagel. Someone finally cuts my bagel places it in the toaster and walks away. About five minutes goes by, she aimlessly walks back and forth not doing much, I could see her chatting with other employees, my bagel sits at the bottom of the toaster, after 5 minutes i had to ask someone to give me the bagel that has been sitting there. I go sit down, find that the bagel is not at all toasted, completely cold, I went to the front counter asked for my money back, said I did not want the cold bagel, I was given my money back, the cashier told me twice to keep the bagel, after I kept telling her I did not want it.
