Came here this morning ( 1/22/26 ) for breakfast at 09:15). From where I was sitting, I could clearly see the kitchen. Several minutes went by, and I just happened to look up after I placed my order. I observed one of the cooks wipe his nose, and went back to cooking WITHOUT washing his hands !!!. I got the server's attention, informed her of what occurred, canceled my order, and asked to speak with a supervisor or manager. I was able to speak with an older woman with a slavic accent. When I informed her of what I clearly observed, she literally told me that " It was no big deal" !!!.I literally could not believe her response, and that I then informed her that I was going to file an immediate complaint with the health department, to which she responded with "so what ?". I did file the complaint 10 minutes later, and recieved a quick response. Imagine what else is going on ??? I will NEVER, EVER patronize this restaurant ever again !!! read more

This place is AMAZING! Best diner ever! The food is so fresh! The service is amazing! My server Brynn was so kind and helpful with the menu. All workers are so nice and cheery! Known for their eggs Benedict, Le Peep is clearly a step above the greasy spoons in the Peoria metro. It knows what it is: a sunny, bright place with service with a smile where everyone can find something they want on a solid menu covering all the breakfast staples. I've never once been disappointed with the service or the food, but the food has never gotten over the hump to be truly great for me. Part of that is my own fault, but part of it is their peasant potatoes; they don't fit well into their skillets and just aren't my thing, despite not minding the style. Their hash browns are much better. The best thing I've had is their White Lightning omelette; despite being made with egg whites (which I usually don't find my thing), the green chiles push it pretty high on my list. The salsa it comes with is unnecessary for me though, and the avocado didn't really taste good to me either. It encapsulates their more adventurous options for me well: spots of greatness, but also some flaws that bring it back down to earth a bit. Still, it's a solid breakfast spot that I'd be happy to recommend to almost anyone. read more

The service is usually very good but can be slow during busy times, but always good! I highly recommend Le Peeps for breakfast. Staff is very friendly! Food is AMAZING! For instance take pancakes. You can get their plain ones which are very good. OR you can get a flavor of the month like blueberry, lemon & ricotta! A menu full of items I've only seen on Food Network! I try something different every time & it's always so good. Simply the best! I've been coming to Le Peep long enough to earn a free meal on my punch card and I STILL haven't tried all of their veggie options! This place has so many options and choices. Every dish I try becomes my new favorite! The Bumper Crop and Drifter skillet are possibly my all-time favorites. Not to mention the amazing espresso drinks and fresh orange juice. I use to really love Le Peep. I have a soy allergy they accommodated well. Other than that, I have a concrete stomach with spicy, dairy, etc. I *did*. Then June 2, 2019 came. Went for breakfast and left with food poisoning. (Pretty sure it was salmonella poisoning.) Totally and completely life changing. Having food poisoning for 19 days is absolutely horrible! You can barely leave the house. And you can't drink water without having it go straight though. Now, 3 months later, I have lost over 10 lbs (I am skinny and didn't need to) because I now continue to have severe IBS. It's a real shame either the employees are dirty or don't know what they are doing to cook safely. read more

The menu seemed more robust than the other locations with more variety and even some smaller portion sizes. I had the mini-veggie omelet, which was stuffed with broccoli, tomatoes, and other delicious fresh veggies. It came with a side of fruit and an English muffin. More than enough food for a breakfast. Anyway in a nutshell, waitress was the opposite of attentive and would communicate by babbling while rushing past the table (le what?), food took an hour, was served cold (le mmm!), waitress then disappeared at the end and had to physically go to the reception to get my bill (le wow!) to pay for my cold food... though the coffee was hot! After my best friend had been asking me to go here for over 2 years I broke down and went. Wow what I would have missed, Walking in and looking around I felt like I was an extra in some 1959's film. Well the table on the left was complaining that it was the worst coffee she had ever tasted and wanted tea. The table on the right a senior told the waitress 4 times he didn't get his toast, she just kept walking by saying "it's coming". We just looked at each other and thought Holly Sheets and Pillow cases what's going on in here. The food came after 40 minutes and immediately I noticed my toast wasn't toast it was bread barley toasted, I was going to ask the waitress but I thought maybe not because the guy that had been asking 4 times could have started asking when he was in his 40's and now look at him so forget it. My buddies Omelet had to go back due to runny egg whites, he he got it back 10 min later. the bacon rock hard and greasy. My Omelet was ok but nothing to write home about, sausage was cold. First time at Le Peep with my best gal and her daughter who were also firstimers. Ordered a fruit bowl without yogurt and our waitress brought it with it, her excuse was "they didn't understand". I asked that my Peasant Potatoes be more on the crispy side she said manager won't let them do that; they are all pre made in a big batch. They came out cold and I asked to heat them up and they were no better. The biscuits and gravy were good and the omelette and crepes. When checking out we were not asked how our food was and the waitress seemed a bit inexperienced. The bill was not worth $52. I might try them again. Traveling for business I always rely on yelp for dining finds. I wanted breakfast/brunch so 4.5 stars avg was promising for Le Peep. I saw online menu chicken fried steak as entree- score! Upon arrival , not on the menu (strike 1). Then decided to order an Eggs Benedict bc many reviewed , I specifically asked if corned beef was cooked "fresh" or from "canned" , server said fresh. I expected strips of corn beef roast and what I got was definitely CANNED corned beef hash. I work in food industry so I know canned CB hash when I see it. Server not knowing it was canned or lying about it (strike 2). Overall, disappointed on the 2 blunders. I really wanted to like this place. I have a sweet spot for Le Peep--it's where I had my first date with my now-husband, and we went back for our first breakfast after getting married here at home in Peoria. I don't remember what we had for that first date forever ago--2 different breakfast hashes that were both delicious, as far as I can recall--but our meals this most recent visit hit the spot. We beat the morning rush at 6:30 AM. Unfortunately, their menu at this location isn't the one shown on the website, though it is the same one they're had forever, as far as I can tell. Our skillet with sausage gravy, green peppers, and onions, topped with an egg and served with choice of toast or biscuit, was rich and super satisfying. The apricot sauce crepe had delicious components, with the nice thin eggy crepes, drinkable sauce, and dollop of sour cream, but the sauce was sadly too running to coat the crepe. My French onion soup with a thick crust of melted cheese and bread was super hearty--I only wish it were bit a bigger. I just love the ambience here, it's like a Martha Stuart version of an American country farmhouse. Called me a liar because my biscuits were hard saying that I microwaved them (I had a to go order) Accused me of just trying to get a free meal instead of just giving me 2 new biscuits (like maybe $1 idk) as long as it has been here it does not pack people in like the other breakfast spots in peoria (Childers, Gebbys, Pancake house) I am assuming it is the last choice for people on a sunday trying to get breakfast and it shows. read more

Restaurant appearance and service was fine. Breakfast menu variety is good too. However, I have eaten here several times and the food is nothing to write home about.
