This panera sucks!!! They are expensive and you get little food. And they are always getting the order wrong I went a few months ago and got home I missing food. So I ended up just taking my whole order back because I paid a decent price for the little skimpy food they have me I wouldn't go back here. This is the worst one I have been too. I drive a lot for work and often stop at Panera, but have never been through the drive-thru at any location until today. The food came out quickly and was great quality. More notably, the woman with blue-ish hair working the drive through was wonderful! I ordered a steel cut oatmeal in the drive through and when I got to work. It was basically cold. Like the didn't even try to finish warming it up. The service was terrible, the lady at the window literally snatched my card and had an attitude the entire time. I don't recommend anybody coming to eat here. This isn't even my first incident but it is the one that pissed me off the most. Panera Bread is normally a pretty good lunch place I enjoy, but this one in particular is NOT! Since I moved here a year ago this Panera has gotten worse each time my husband and I visit. It was decent the first time I came here a year ago, but every time after that it has been terrible and very frustrating. They run out of something or other every time and the service is horrible! I have attended quite a few Paneras. However they all seem to be the same in quality and service. I work nearby to the South Holland Panera therefore I have been there numerous times. Unfortunately this location does not live up to the rest. The food and layout are all there but the quality of the people is for lack of a better word terrible. The service is awful. The employees are terrible. The service is terrible. And after giving them the benefit of the doubt it's a recurring theme. As a matter of fact my office skaters from Panera about once a month we drive to the Panera 20 minutes away from our office now because we love the food but hate the service and quality from the south holland location. Even the management lacks professionalism in recognition for quality service's I may not stop going to Panera I will never attend this location again. the only thing I can say is you get the food that you expect but your head attending there because of the people. If you don't care try going through the drive thru Friday even had negative experiences there good luck walking in as you're never see me in there. read more

Ok let start. Nice to go to for a quick bite but the workers are not trained. the girl did not even know what types of bread was on the shelf. They got my order wrong on different occaisions and im just tired of it. how do you run out of bread at a place that has bread in the title? what da duece? The seating looks like my daughter designed it on the sims game. and last I have the rewards card but when i check my rewards nothing shows up. Food is appealing, healthy and fresh everyday. It is a great place to meet with friends and relax and unwind. The staff is usually friendly and helpful whenever I have questions. The soups and green tea are my favorites! read more

This Panera location consistently seems to think that the order you place is what you would -prefer- to be in your drive-through bag when you open it, but you're not totally committed to the choice and would actually be fine with whatever. read more

I know they're somewhat new and trying, but they seem to really have a hard time with gettin an order correct (they even gave me a whole avacado one time because apparently they didn't know how to cut it and put it on the sandwich--with the pit and skin still intact). Everytime a mistake is made in the order, a manager has to literally roll up their sleeves and take care of the order themselves. No complaints about the food. Staffing seems to be the problem. No other issues at the other Panaera locations I go to, just this one. Its seems like either corporate or the Franchisee needs to get more involved in the hiring/training process at this locale. read more

If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I have gone here one too many times and more times than not, the customer service sucks. I frequently dine in and rapid order at this location and 9 time out of 10 I receive very poor customer service. On several different occasions I walk in and NOT one employee greets me, asks me how I may be helped-nothing! lacking customer service could make or break your success of a company and a customers experience. If I could give a 0, I would. I stopped in and placed an order. I had 2 soups originally 1 large & 1 small. After my checkout I askked the cashier if I could upgrade the soup to a large. Shewas a sweet young lady and accommodated by telling the kitchen area about the upgrade. Upon receiving my order there was a mixup. They upgraded.the soup but left off the original large we ordered. I attempted to tell the young lady about the mix up but she wouldnt listen and was extremely rude & accused me of attempting to get a soup I didn't pay for. I tried to show the receipt and she kept agressively accusing me of not paying. I told her it didn't matter I would pay again and begged her to please give me my soup since she wouldn't listen. I told that a $4 soup would not kill me & went back to pay AGAIN for the soup for which the staff messed up the order on .At this juncture I was going to pay and was called a "bitch". My friend, a corporate training manager" and someone who hosts several meetings in the Panera lobby asked the manager after this vile comment if she could speak with her alone. She wanted to address the behavior of the associate. The manager listened to our complaint and aked us leave after giving our money back. We never asked for our money back we were asking for respect and to not be adressed as bitch by the staff. This is what any customer should expect. The associate also tol us to call the corporate office.she didn't care not to be called a bitch. Instead of validating our complaint we were asked to leave. She further stated the we could never come to Panera again. I was appalled that we couldn't lodge a complaint nor get the name of the GM from the manager to escalate our complaint then to be told we couldn'tpatronize the establishment in the future.. Also, I work in the executive office of a MAJOR retailer & REGULARLY cater corporate breakfasts & lunches from Panera totally anywhere fro $250-$600 per event that I cater. Also other areas in my company orders large lunches at least 3 time a week and to be told that Panera did not need our business was offensive. We would NEVER tell a customer to never come back as dispute resolutin skills should be in all manager's job description. Customer service is what we do & this sort of disrespect & horrific customer service would never be tolerated at my company. It was not us but the staff that was rude. Their behavior was so egregious that customers pulled us to the side to comment on their behavior and apologize for Panera'sstaff.. Something the manager on duty should have done. I went there today for a late lunch. The cashier was very nice lady and she gave some recommendations on what good on the menu since I neverneaten there before. I got the sierra turkey half sandwich with the broccoli cheddar soup. It wasnt bad. Next time i will just get the soup. Went on a Saturday morning and ordered 3 bagels, toasted with cream cheese and coffee. How can you screw that up? Well, don't toast the bagels, get the wrong cream cheese and not have half and half for coffee. 7 am on a Saturday morning and out of cream for coffee? This is the worst Panera ever. I have been about 4 times since it opened and I always have an issue with my order. The first time, they forgot my cookie and my bread. I was halfway home and it dawned on me to check my order and low and behold. I drove all the way back and the cashier tossed me a whole bag of mini cookies and a hunk of bread because I guess she could sense that I was upset. The next visit, my husband and I sat in the drive thru for over 20 minutes.When we finally reached the window, the young woman seemed confused and clueless. I had learned my lesson about my order from the first time, so I checked it while sitting there. I had a half sandwich when I ordered a whole one, was missing a cookie and there was no salad dressing in/on my salad. Third time, I pulled off, but paused in the parking lot to check my order and my soup was missing. Fourth time tonight, I checked my order while still at the window, was missing my cookie. Got home and realized there was no cheese on my sandwich and no croutons for my soup. I'm done. I would say that giving this location 4 chances is more than sufficient. Avoid this location at all costs, but if you go and order take out, whatever you do, CHECK YOUR ORDER! And, please note my review is about the location, not Panera in general. The reviews are correct don't go there. First off for what you get it's not worth the high prices. Almost every time something is wrong with the order then have to wait back in line to get it corrected. There is a manager who talks about the customers in earshot of the dining room. Kids meal prices are way to high and don't come with a drink. Also sometimes the pastry's are fresh and other times not so much. Won't be back. If you want great soup and sandwiches at a better price go to Subport down the road. read more

I only give this place one star because zero isn't an option. This place is the worst Panera Bread of them all and I will probably never come here ever again. Their staff is the most unfriendly and uncaring group of individuals I have encountered at any Panera store. On Wednesday I ordered a breakfast sandwich and when I requested jelly for my breakfast sandwich they informed me it would an additional 70 cents which is crazy. What restaurant charges their customers 70 cents for a condiment? There was another lady who ordered their macaroni and cheese. They let her pay for the macaroni and cheese first, and then inform her that they are all out of the product and asks her if she wants a salad or a breakfast sandwich instead. To make matters worse their was an individual who appeared to be a manager openly fussing and complaining about the habits of a fellow employee. How unprofessional is that. Panera Bread of South Holland is the worst Panera Bread of all. If you are looking for good food and service I would you advise you to find yourself a Panera in the next town because this place is a disgrace to the Panera name. read more

I have been to this location several times since it opened and I've never had a problem. The cashier was nice, even when I had a coupon (so she got the manager, who handled it). The tables are clean, and a nice variety of seating options. Then again, I dislike drive thru windows so that part of the business may need some work. I've always enjoyed Panera Bread, until I came to this particular location. I work in South Holland, and because lunch choices are limited I've given this store chance after chance. I've left disappointed nearly every single time. The staff in general are untrained and unprofessional, the food preparation is inconsistent, menu items are consistently unavailable, and the wait time is far beyond any other Panera store I have visited. To top things off, when you finally receive your order chances are very high that it will be incorrect. I have always received the best customer service and I really like the fact that they all pretty much know exactly how I like my salad. What a great addition to the dining scene in this town which is rife with fast food joints (McDonald's, Burger King, franchise-held sub shops) and mediocre pizza joints (Pizza Hut, Papa John's, Little Caesar's). Panera Bread in South Holland is starting to hit their stride. People have been really harsh in their comments but this is a brand new location and has only been around for less than two years. I have no problems any more with my orders and go there frequently. I am sure their other stores you had problems in the beginning also. I am willing to give them a chance! read more
