Customer service sucks. Rude and very disrespectful. Yelling at customers and unwilling to provide their name. The manager was no better. He condoned the employees behavior. So, lately I've been seeking out a local spot for a good hoagie. And when I really really wanted one I tried two other spots and came up empty handed. I found this one and was amazed that I had not heard about it. I was unsure of how long I would be waiting (hoagies take time from my experience with other places). But I got in and out within 10 minutes!! They have daily specials and are quick to get you in and out. They didn't answer the phone when I first burnt there, but it's okay. I went on Saturday and got to to hoagie for 8 bucks and two steaks for 8 bucks it was lunch time (I'm a big guy ) I had enough for lunch and dinner and had 1 left for the next day !(pleaae note I did my own fries in the air fryer don't forget to put the olive oil on the bottom! read more

First time visiting here and I will be coming back! A medium hoagie for $4.60 plus tax, you can't beat that. Not only are the prices right, but the hoagies are good too. I had the combination turkey along with fries and mild sauce on the side; Fries were fresh! I tried to call in my order, but they were busy since it was a Saturday afternoon. Since I wasn't able to post a review under The Hoagie Place #3, I'll post it here. I went to their 3rd location at 1313 E. 87th St. on 1/5/24. The Hoagie was just okay and not as good as the one on Halsted.The large Steak Sandwich was mostly bread and very little steak & sweet sauce. Me & My Sister was very disappointed. Whoever is making the sandwiches at their new location need to be trained at 8147 S. Halsted so the Guy can learned how to make sandwiches because that wasn't it.. read more

Never a disappointment. I have been eating here a few months now. I am familiar with the bar next door. I absolutely love a good sandwich and they deliver just that every time. I have some picky children, however they eat everything that comes on these hoagies. I prefer to get mine a little custom but not to much as I don't want to take away from their specialty. If you grew up on the SoSide of Chicago, their steaks and hoagies taste just like Taurus Flavors that use to be on 85th Stony Island. And they have the same ice cream, have specials and serve french fries. Fast Service even during lunch hours. Best spot in So Suburbs. Regular hoagie bomb. Sweet steak was just as good however had some hard/ gummy pieces of meat/fat in it. So possibly using a lower quality steak meat. But definitely good. Will continue to patronize for sure. read more
