Today my wife and I ordered the new Croque Monsieur Croissant Toast sandwich. Sadly, it was a real disappointment and not worth the price. The "croissant toast" isn't anything special, the sandwich itself is a mess to eat and it's not that tasty. We think it should be promptly dropped from the menu. read more

Panera Bread, you have succeeded in losing me as a customer! I mean I've been patient with you as you went through new ownership growing pains, you didn't have the right amount of inventory or staff to handle demand, and I was tolerant. That was years ago. Then there was the period when we would come to pick up an order only to be told "sorry, we ran out of thus and so, we can give you a refund or you can order something else"... that was infuriating because I would end up with lunch for half of us! Then you went through a period where we would get online to place orders to go only to find that the ingredients for some of the items we wanted were not available, after we had input the other details of our order. A waste of our time. Then you added some great pizza products but they were never available, and now you've finally dropped them. You've also dropped the items where the ingredients were often missing. Do you plan your product map out into the future? Anyway, I placed an order the other day at 12:13, because I had a drs appointment that I had to leave for at 2:00, and if I could get home by 1:00 with lunch we would be just in time for that drs appointment. Placing the order at 12:13 you said it would be ready at 12:35. Perfect. You told me you had the order and were working on it but when I got to the store it wasn't even on the list of jobs, and in fact it didn't even show up on that list until 12:35, when it was supposed to show completed. And even then, it showed 3 jobs ahead of it completed, and 6 jobs ahead to be done. So I continued to wait. There were at least 9 more jobs that were called as being completed during that time, but my job only moved up two slots. How is that possible ???How does your system work ??? I asked for you to cancel my job at about ten to one. That was done, you hadn't even started my job yet. I was told it could take up to 30 days for me to get my money back. Now wait just a second here. I've given you way too much of my time already, but you're telling me you're going to hold on to over $40 of my money for 30 days when it took me less than a minute to give it to you, your service totally sucked, you didn't give me compensation at all for your poor service, and I could have gone down the street and paid half that price spent half the time and not been annoyed at all?? Well you know what Panera ? I'm done with you. I'm not coming back. You can't treat your customers that badly over and over and over again and expect us to keep on coming back. Ordering was prompt. Restaurant was clean. Salad received had a half cup of brown lettuce including the lettuce core and almost no dressing. I ordered the Chicken Asian salad as menu said Chef's Choice. Very disappointing having had this style of salad at other restaurants. I would love to give them zero stars if I was able. Right as we walked into the building, the manager stared us down and did not greet us. We said "Hello. How's it going?" to him and he did not respond. As we began ordering our food, they were out of so many items including baguettes, 5 or 6 different soups, and macaroni and cheese. A few of which they have been continuously out of the past few times we visited. Not to mention the prices for the portions they give you are outrageous. 17 dollars for 2 soups that were not filled even halfway. I am unsure why this location has such a bad rating. I frequently use this location to order lunch for business meetings. The online ordering process seems to be the best option as too many orders can create a problem for the person over the phone. It usually takes at least 1 hour for orders of 12 people. I use the Rapid Pick Up area but sometimes have to ask if my order is ready when I arrive and find it behind the counter. I have ordered from here about 10 times and had errors in about 3 (missing a side or special requests not followed); nothing that keeps me from going back. I have noticed over the last year that the staff has become a lot friendlier and it appears they may have a new manager who seems to do a much better job of keeping things running smoothly. Since I typically take my food to-go I can't speak on the cleanliness of the dining area but from what I can see the place looks clean. I have noticed in the past that the restrooms could use some air freshener and tiding up, but other than that they're not horrible. I give them 3 stars due to dissatisfaction with their rewards program and the few times I've had errors. This location isn't to blame for the rewards program, but I have had troubles redeeming free rewards and wish rewards didn't expire. Their strawberry poppyseed salad is one of my favorite items and therefore I will continue to go back for more. read more

The last two times I have gone to this location have disappointed me. I live very close so it's a convenient option, but I don't know if I'll be going back. The last time I went I ordered a side and I didn't get it, so that was a waste of $3. Then today I went at a time that was not very busy. I ordered a you pick 2 to go and went home to eat it. My 1/2 sandwich was fine but the salad did not have half of the ingredients. It was a green goddess Cobb salad, which is depicted online as having hard boiled egg, bacon bits, and avocado in addition to lettuce, chicken, tomatoes and pickled onions. The pathetic excuse of this "salad" was lettuce, chicken and a few tomatoes. I could've made it at home! Next time I'll be taking my business across the street to Hello Bistro. read more

They need to improve. The latch on a stall in the women's room wasn't working a month ago and it still hasn't been repaired. There was trash on the floor in the women's room the past three times I was there. The paper towel dispenser only give about 6" of paper towel, so you have to use it three times to get enough paper to dry you hands. The restroom floor needs a good cleaning too. The food is consistent with all Panera Bread stores, so that part is good, but the place is understaffed. read more

Panera in general is a rip-off, and this one is no exception. Went here because we weren't super hungry and had gift cards to use. The young lady working the register was pleasant and helpful. The food was typical Panera- very small portions and over priced. Got the you pick two with soup (an okay sized bowl) and a half sandwich (steak and cheese). There wasn't even two ounces of beef on my sandwich. It was an hors d'oeuvre sized portion. The kids' meals are very small and do not include a drink. This the third time I've visited this Panera location and been disappointed. I ended up walking out without ordering, after waiting over 10 minutes without any movement in the line. Only one register was open and it was obviously a new staff person who kept having to ask questions to the other staff person who was supposed to be making food. I watched a 3rd employee take his time making coffee drinks and chatting with a 4th employee who also didn't seem very busy and was totally unconcerned about the long line forming at the register. One afternoon, I went to Panera to study and purchased a hot tea. The lady who served me appeared to be annoyed at the amount of customers as she was working the food register and the bakery/hot drink register. I had to ask her where to find the hot water and tea bags as I had not previously purchased tea or coffee at Panera. They did have a nice selection of tea flavors and had honey, lemon, and sugar packets as additional options. I sat in a booth in the general dining area facing away from the door to reduce distractions as I studied. A lady with a child and her mother were sitting a couple tables away from me and the child was so loud, I could hear him through my headphones. He remained that way for 15-30 minutes without the adults attempting to make him be quiet and respect the dining experience of the guests around them. In addition to the noise, the booth I sat in had remnants of the guests before me, to the point that the contents were sticking to the table.Simply wiping them off with a napkin was not an option. As I as leaving, I went to the restroom and found the toilet full of toilet paper with additional toilet paper flowing out of the holder. I was not impressed with the cleanliness or tidiness of the restroom or restaurant. My experience was so-so and could have been improved if there were more employees, friendly employees, serving guests at registers, cleaning the tables and cleaning the restrooms. Despite enjoying most of the food options and combinations, my husband and I do not go here for lunch or dinner due to the high prices compared to the quality of food. However, despite the lack of cleanliness and noise level, I may return for a drink or bagel in the future. read more

Atrocious delivery service today. I ordered online and enabled the text tracking system for delivery. I placed the order at 12:49 p.m. and received a confirmation email at 12:51 p.m. I received a text at 1:14 p.m. saying that my order was done and on the way, which beat the quoted 1:21 p.m. to 1:31 p.m. I work on Brooktree Road, which is 1.7 miles from the store. My order finally arrived at 1:38 p.m. I don't understand what took so long on the delivery, and the delivery driver seemed puzzled when I asked and showed him the message. The soup I ordered was stone cold as a result. I don't expect instantaneous delivery. That would be ridiculous. But, for the delivery fee PLUS tip (I still tipped the driver), today's aggravation and lunch weren't worth it. read more

Horrible service, placed a breakfast catering order, when I asked for plates, I was given an eye roll and was told they weren't sure if they could give me plates. Had a bunch of bags to carry out to my car, they weren't busy and no one offered to help carry bags to my car. I've never been to a Panera with that horrible of service before. The was a young man named Christian who worked almost everything, He made sandwiches and salads, while the other staff watched and joked around. I went to Panera Bread across from Sheetz on Rte. 19 Perry Hwy. in Wexford on Sunday 11/13/11, and decided to order something different than usual. I had been getting disenchanted with this place, because when my little daughter ordered the roast beef (kid's meal) the last 2 times, the beef was so gristly that she couldn't even eat it and I had to ask them to exchange it for something else. I saw a sign stating that there was a new panini "Pick 2" combo, which was Turkey Artichoke panini with Mac & Cheese as the side. No price was listed on the sign (CAVEAT EMPTOR!!!). I should have known better. I ordered this and received it, thinking it would be in the moderate price range as their other "Pick 2" specials, which are I believe $6.49 give or take 50 cents. I looked at the receipt, and I was shocked to find out that I had paid the better part of $9 for this wimpy, thin little panini sandwich and a small little cup of mac & cheese. It was I believe $8.89. The amount of turkey on it had to be about 1/2 of a slice (maybe 3 oz. tops), and there were a couple of artichoke halves on it and a little bit of sauce. It was about 4" long and 3" wide, and it came with a small section of a baguette. I left very disappointed and felt hungry (and I am not a heavy eater at all).
