I felt surprised when I read that Hello Bistro is a local restaurant chain that is owned by Eat 'n Park. Hello Bistro's menu and ambiance are very different and appeal to a younger generation. Hello Bistro's menu items include salads, wraps, pastas, burgers, sides such as fries and soups, cookies, beverages, etcetera. Menu items may be customized. A kids' menu and catering are also available. Prices are reasonable. I have been a customer of this Hello Bistro in McCandless Township for a couple of years. I have felt happy with the quality of the foods and the employees' service, although my husband believes that a meal here made him sick a couple years ago. During my most recent visit, I ordered and paid for my food on a kiosk. I took a buzzer and told its number to an employee. Several minutes later, an employee handed my food to me. I got my food as takeout, although many tables and chairs were available. I usually order the salads (e.g., cranberry-apple-chicken salad and Thai-peanut salad), and I like their large size and their fresh and healthy ingredients. I also like the harvest-vegetable soup and the sugar-free blackberry Bubbly soda. read more

Hello Bistro was alright - seen this place plenty of time while driving by so, decided to try it. Got the Thai Peanut Salmon Salad, asked for light dressing and added avocado. After ordering at the kiosk and waiting around 20 minutes, the salad came, but drenched in dressing and no crunchy chow mein pieces as advertised. I've picked up many salads from Hello Bistro for lunch and even for dinner from time to time. I like that you can pick as many toppings as you want but didn't find the freshness of the veggies (or fruit in some cases like strawberries) to be on par with premium salad places in other cities I've visited (ex. Sweetgreen). I've also had a lot of inconsistencies on the amount of protein I've gotten on the salad. Sometimes it feels like a small-but-normal portion and other times it feel like 2-3 bites worth. I usually get dressing on the side so that I can put as much as I want on. Overall taste is decent/good and there can be some inconsistencies from time to time. I've only dined in once and their restaurant is really clean and offers a lot of seating (I didn't have to wait for a seat even though it was pretty busy) I have not tried their burgers so cannot comment on that but have heard that salads are their best menu item. read more

As a very particular person, "build your own" really floats my boat at restaurants. I recently obtained a job in the North Hills, and a coworker suggested Hello Bistro for their build your own salad on my lunch break. I was in HEAVEN when I saw all of the salad options. I was able to pick the type of lettuce I preferred AND add as many toppings as I wanted. They carried every topping imaginable! There was not a single topping that I wished they had. I also LOVED the way they tossed and cut the salad. I hate when you get a salad and all of the toppings stay on the top or float to the bottom... Hello Bistro solved that problem by chopping the contents of your salad according to your preference (small, medium, or large pieces). They even ask if you want light, regular, or extra dressing to toss as well... talk about customization! The biggest turnoff for me was the wait time. The line was not the problem; however, the fact that you have to wait for the workers to make the online/mobiles orders before yours is CRAZY. My friend and I had to wait 20 minutes before the worker was ready to make our salad, which wasted our entire lunch break! There should definitely be someone whose job is solely to manage online orders while another manages the in-store customers. In addition, it was a little pricey. My salad was about $12. It was a nice sized salad, so I wasn't too upset over the cost. Overall, I loved Hello Bistro. I just feel that there are some logistics the company needs to work out to please their customers and make the business run more smoothly. I've been here before and remember it being rather delicious. Today the staff was friendly and attentive. I was easily able to substitute blue cheese with goat cheese. However, today's salad wasn't very pleasing. I'll post a picture of it as shown on their poster/internet menu and another photo of what I got. I was presented with something that looked like it was shaken up for 5 minutes in its container or ground in a blender. The chicken was cooked to perfection. But the dressing didn't taste like sesame dressing at all. Can't describe it well but seemed like the goat cheese was mixed with water and thinned out then poured over salad melted. A few months ago, they completely forgot my chicken and unfortunately didn't find out until I got back to my office, and I talked to the manager and they mailed me a $5 gift card. We come here atleast once a week on average and always get salads. We haven't try anything else. We love their options to customize or just their order defined salads which you can still customize. We use their site to order ahead and pick it up and they never messed up the order! The only wish is that Hello Bistro comes up with a proper app (which doesn't take you back to their site) where you can reorder using your previous orders. The Caeser Salad consisted of 1/2 of small bowl. Paid full price. The dressing was put on the salad, Not two on the side. I planned it for later to split between two people. As a person who sees salads as their own food group, Hello Bistro was speaking my love language. I visited for a Sunday lunch and was overwhelmed by their salad topping and dressing options. I opted to try their Jamaican shrimp salad coated in a lime vinaigrette and it was fabulous! There was a copious amount of shrimp and I loved that you have the option to get it fine chopped. It comes in perfectly bite sized pieces with a thorough mix and tossed in dressing. My boyfriend ordered a burger and raves about his meal, especially the fries. I never would've guessed that a place known for its MTO salad game would have such a great burger but I've had the "over easy" burger twice now and I've gotta give major respect to their burger game. Hello Bistro is one of my favorite go to places. Only bad thing is I somehow keep moving away from one that's close, right after it opens! Boo! But the trip is worth it. The best way to describe this is a salad bar and a burger place had a baby. You can order pre-arranged salads and burgers off the menu, or you can create your own salad with whatever toppings you choose. Kinda of like a subway for salads. I always get the Buffalo chicken salad, no blue cheese and extra buffalo sauce, and it is hands down my favorite buffalo chicken salad! It's so fresh and I love that they mix the dressing and buffalo sauce right in the salad before they serve you. They also have amazing fresh cut fries that I suggest to anyone! Only other item I've had here is a turkey burger with their pineapple salsa on top(forget the exact name,sorry!) everything is always good! Only thing I don't like is how small the seating space is. This place gets PACKED! and it becomes kinda cut throat to get a table since it's is self seating. Basically have to stalk out where you wanna sit and wait for the people to clear. I love Hello Bistro! Their salads are yummy with vastly different pre-created concoctions for those who have a hard time being creative in making their own salad. The portions are HUGE. My husband and I visited Hello Bistro for lunch while running errands on a Saturday afternoon. Since it was prime lunch time they were pretty busy. We didn't have to wait in line to order but we did have to wait for someone to finish eating so we could grab their table. My husband got the super value burger with fries and I got the BBQ chicken salad. We really enjoyed both of our meals and my only call out was that my salad was a little heavy on the lime. I've been waiting for Hello Bistro to open ever since I took it upon myself to investigate what was actually going into this savanna of a shopping complex. Finally the hour is upon us and they are open! I knew that it was owned by Eat'n Park so obviously it was a given that it would be a place with sure-good food (word to the wise: my usual go-to place for a simple meal when I'm hungry is Eat'n Park). But from what I heard, this place was supposed to be more like a Panera with table-side service, and it was! Your meal is brought to you after you order at the front desk and they give you a number to put on your table. It's bigger inside that it looks on the outside. The decor is super trendy in regards to it being somewhat more modern with a fun flair; they have a chalkboard in the middle of the seating area where you can write whatever you want. They specialize in salads, burgers, and grilled sam'iches. My two times being there already, I would recommend the apple & cheddar grilled cheese or the rockin' moroccan caesar salmon salad. Also try their handmade pumpkin milkshake to get in the fall season! They offer takeout as well, which is ideal for ordering ahead of time before going home after work. Since it is owned by Eat'n Park, you can expect to order some of it's originals like a superburger, Eat'n Park coffee for $1, their classic soups (like chicken noodle, potato, and chili), and of course smiley cookies! I give this place a four star rating because all-in-all it's a great, simple little café-like place to get a good meal or take something on the go. The place itself is visually appealing and the food is very tasty. If you're looking for something trendy and "hip," then this isn't the place for you.
