Great food, terrible service. Some of the worst service ive recieved. Second time in a row I've came here and waited 30+ mins for my meal. This time me and 3 buddies came in with no one else at the restaurant. I only ordered one bag of fries and it took around 40 mins for them to give it to me. Absolutely ridiculous and I don't plan on coming back here for a couple years. Even though the food is always enjoyable, it's not nearly worth waiting 40 mins for when its not busy at all. I have come in the past couple of weekends now and it has just been a wonderful exsperiance. These two workers Malia and Grace have always been so kind and just put a smile on my face. This was the first Hello Bistro I ever came to and I come here every time I am in Cranberry. The menu features great wraps, salads, and burgers. The expanded menu is a great addition. There was a period where the orders were not always correct (subtractions missed). That is a thing of the past. Love the big open windows and the design. I've had two terrible experiences with the service here. Today we went and there was hardly anyone there. We both ordered salads and were given a number and we sat outside to wait. Nearly 15 minutes went by and no salads. So I went inside and one of the gals was making a salad for a customer and I asked where our salads were. Well, it turns out they were ready, but just sitting there. It was extremely frustrating as I have no idea why they bothered giving us a number if they weren't going to actually deliver our salads. Another time I ordered a salad during a busy time. A customer way after me ordered a custom salad and proceeded to help them before making mine. Unbelievable. I've used this chain quite a bit since the COVID-19 thing happened in mid-March. There was no dine-in, so I went here (and still do) for carry-out salads. During the beginning of COVID, they limited the items they offered (not sure why, maybe availability) but I was OK with that. After about eight weeks, they returned offer all the "toppings" they had before mid-March. A salad that the customer picks what he/she wants, but without any chicken/shrimp/salmon is about $10 with tax & is served in a plastic bowl. That's a decent amount considering I'm able to get a salad with grilled chicken for about the same amount elsewhere, but not with the variety of fresh salad vegetables offered by Hello Bistro. Recently, I went in for my usual proteinless salad that I typically get mid-day, then take home & refrigerate for dinner. After paying, the preparer started my order. She began with my choice of lettuce & seemed to skimp on it, but I didn't say anything. Then I started saying what else I want & noticed that she continued to skimp on the toppings, grabbing teeny amounts of each item in the serving tongs. I still decided not to say anything so I asked for an item I don't typically get & asked for an extra "serving" of another item. It seemed to me she was of the notion that the diced red peppers were really rubys, the diced green peppers were emeralds, the bits of califlour were diamonds, and the lettuce leaves were really $100 bills, as she was so meticulous to not give me too much. I did specify a specific amount of feta cheese, which I got & the salad was drowned in dressing. NOTE: I think they make their own dressings & the one I always request, I like a lot. And for some reason, she was very generous with the crunchy add-ins & asked if I wanted more, but I declined. I'm there primarily for the variety of vegetables. As noted, I got it home & stowed it in the refrigerator & below (or above) is what I ended up with for dinner. I've probably had two or three per week since early 2020 & this one salad was so noteworthy for it's nothingness. Instead of the glass being half-full, the plastic bowl is. Came here as soon as they opened for lunch. They offer beyond burgers which I appreciate since I don't eat meat. Their fries were seasoned very nicely and were tasty. They were super skimpy on the ingredients. I didn't like the mixed in jalapeño. There was little to no chicken. A small serving of avocado as well. Luckily I had a large lunch. Great menu and fresh produce. Love the drink selection of local cane sugar soda. Cons: salads tend to be heavily dressed. Ask for light or on the side. I was appalled with the service that me and my friend were given this evening. First, we were standing at the counter to get our order taken. for about 10-ish minutes finally after the child that appeared we ordered our kids chop salad with a side of fries and a kids cheeseburger with a side of fries. He repeated order back, but managed to mess up the order when we received it, we had to wait an additional five minutes to wait for him to come back with the lettuce for the salad we asked for a little bit more chicken. He responded with. No I technically cannot. It is against our policy. that is unprofessional and stingy of a business after food appeared on the shelf. We were never given a pager so we were not able to tell if it was ours or not plus, there was only one bag of fries instead of two so we did not believe that it was ours the child repeated to us that this was our order and that he did not give us a pager. We said that's OK. We got our food and went back up to the counter and said that we had ordered another thing of fries the man that was working in the back apologized to us, but then told us that if we wanted more fries, we would have to pay for them. We asked the guy for a receipt. He gave me sass and said he then said i don't wanna dig it out of the trashcan, I said don't worry about it then he left the restaurant to go onto his phone not very good business or customer service after we wrapped up our meal. I got a cheeseburger with no cheese. we when up to the counter and asked the lady if we could get a receipt she said one second and proceeded to dig through trashcan with us without any questions she found our receipt we said thank you so much and said that we ordered two things. The fries only got one then she offered to ring it up for us and give them to us we said do not worry about and have an amazing day. And in hind sight, we should have just canceled our order when we observed one the employees (boy) with longer hair continuously flipping his hair while hovering over the salad bar while making our salad. Is it no longer required for food employees to have their hair pulled back at the very least? For this kid though, definitely a hair net. Now, do I think it is this kids fault. our service was appalling. to start I asked for chicken, which I paid for, and was told that I could not get any more chicken since it was against their policy. Secondly, me and my friend both ordered french fries but the child working the checkout did not ring up my fries, but I do not understand how he did not ring up our fries because he repeated our order back to us and it was correct, so then we were told to either pay for more fries or we're not getting them. I think that is unprofessional and we should've gotten fries for free or he should've just not messed up to begin with, my friend also got a cheeseburger and there was no cheese on her burger. We asked the kid for a receipt because we wanted to check that we were not charged for the fries that we were not given and he gave us sass and said that he does not want to fish through the garbage to find our receipt. I think that this kid needs to check himself because who does he think he is? after we asked the kid for our receipt and he said no he left to go outside and play on his phone for a bit because that is totally whatever everyone does when they're working. Leave it to some chain to try and capitalize on ethnic flavors and fail miserably. Actually, it's offensive to Indian cuisine! Then the beets aren't even cooked all the way and crumb-sized. Maybe a mouse could eat them??? The dressing: citrus lime vinaigrette should renamed "Water dressing. No flavor. And a fly crawling right in front of me while I type this. This food will prevent you from starving, but is absolutely tasteless and joyless, and well, soulless. Bye. The one saving grace: the employees are courteous and sweet. However, I wouldn't dare complain to them because I've worked minimum wage jobs and there is no incentive for them to sit there and listen to my disdain for this sham. I'll save them that suffering. Always enjoy eating at this establishment, have been to several around pittsburgh and greater pittsburgh area and I am consistently happy with their food and service. I always go with the make your own salad and load up on as much fresh veggies as possible topped with either salmon or shrimp, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, and avocado. It's not exactly cheap by for what you are getting I do think dinning here is worth it. You also have the option of chopping the salad up into small pieces or leaving it chunkier which definitely changes the overall consistency and enjoyment of your salad depending on preference. read more

That being said, they were still decent, but for a place that basically only sells burgers and salads, you'd think they'd use fresh. I have been to the other 4 locations, and was so excited when this one opened on Monday because it's close to work for me. When I walked in, it wasn't too busy, probably because it had just opened and not many people know about it yet. I got a kale and spinach salad and loaded up with veggies. The Apple Cider Vinaigrette is delicious. The service is fast, the prices are great, and it's very clean. Also, the employees working: from outside, the register, and down the salad line were all super friendly. There is plenty of seating inside. I came here because my boyfriend raves about the one in Oakland. Stopping in for my lunch break (which is 1 hour) to grab a salad. Ordered the BBQ chicken salad, which was mediocre. The salad had a lot of the hard ends of the romain head which was a little disappointing. I also waited for about 25 minutes. That doesn't seem like a long time, but when the salad bar is laid out in front of the employees and it's not busy, I expected it to be a little more speedy. With only 20 minutes left before having to return to work, I asked if I could have my salad to go, to which the girl handed me a bag that had been sitting on the counter for quite some time. I'm just so disappointed, especially since I have been hearing about Hello Bistro for a while and how great it is. I was hoping to have the same experience. I am so happy this place has moved in near my work! I have been hearing great reviews, and chopped salads are always a great choice for any meal! I had the BBQ chicken salad, which is one of about 8 pre-made salads. It was very good - the dressing was a BBQ citrus dressing, which was honestly more delightful than I was expecting. The ingredients were fresh, and the dressing to salad ratio was on point. You can also make your own salad from a list of tons of toppings! They also have a few burgers and sandwiches on the menu consistently, with some specials that seem to change. I saw a peach brie grilled cheese sandwich that I would be interested to try, so I am excited to see what other seasonal eats they bring to the menu! I want at lunch, and there wasn't a ton of people which was nice. We went through the line quickly, and were able to find a seat with no trouble. Once i had to remind the cashier to hand me my water i just bought we were told to find a seat. My wife picked up lunch. Ordered a salad with spinach and kale, with plenty of additions. Fiesta chicken, and ham, black olives, egg, bacon, all with vinagarette dressing. It was tasty... However, there was no fiesta chicken in my salad at all. Charge 2.00 for chicken, and they didn't even put it in the salad. Couldn't find a single egg piece in the entire salad either. Ordered a cup of chicken noodle soup too, only to get home and find it was not included in my order. Oh, they charged me for it, of course, but they just didn't put it in the bag. Overall, a very disappointing experience, and one I do not wish to repeat any time soon. I expect to have Burger King forget a straw, or give me the wrong drink, but at a place like this, shouldn't I get everything I ordered? read more

Hello Bistro recently opened right down the road from our home. We have heard mixed reviews from friends and coworks and decided to try it out for ourselves. My husband and I went for lunch, around 11:15am and the place was pretty empty. Their menu was laid out nicely with salad combinations created by the company, made-to-order salads, sandwiches and burgers. The variety of the menu was appealing. In addition, the layout of the restaurant was nicely done as the salad bar was labeled and displayed for customers to easily choose their items and there was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating to accommodate large crowds. I ordered the BBQ Chicken Salad and wasn't overly impressed with it. While the salad dressing had a zing of freshness to it, the rest of the ingredients did not have that fresh quality. The lettuce tasted like it was out of the bag, the corn, while having grill/roasted marks on it, could have been from a can, and the minimal amount of chicken scattered throughout the salad was pretty tasteless. Though I felt the size of the salad was acceptable for the price, the ingredients did not meet that same expectation. My husband ordered the Broccauliflower Grilled Cheese which tasted good, however his remark after eating it was "we could make this at home". Yes, we could make it at home multiple times for the price of that one sandwich he just devoured. If you simply want french fries to go with the sandwich, make sure you have an extra $2 on hand. As we were getting ready to leave, around 12pm, the place was half full and the line was almost to the door. I'll give it to Hello Bistro for doing their part in providing society with a healthier option for lunch and dinner. I'm so happy Hello Bistro has finally moved to the North Hills and Wexford. Their salads always taste so fresh and you get a ton of food. I went at lunch time on a Thursday and there was no wait, although it did start getting a little more traffic closer to 1. I keep on getting the Caribbean Shrimp salad because I'm afraid I'll regret it if I venture away. The dressing is light and citrusy and having everything chopped up together, you get all flavors in every bite. Along with about 5 or 6 signature salads, there is a build your own option with not limit on toppings (!) the price point is averaged at between $9-$10 for a salad, and like I said, they definitely don't hold back on the salad size. read more

Awful experience today, actually this is the worst Hello Bistro in the area, always takes longer than usual to prepare food. Ordered John Wayne burger at 12:12pm no food till 20mins so I go to find out what the delay was, the manager looks at my number and says it not even close to be made, I am going to refund your money...that's it. There were many more people complaining about food delayed over 20-25 mins. If you can't handle the rush just don't take new orders.
