Other reviews here mention Koli, and Pangea is definitely comparable, as one of the 2 'must visit' restaurants in Monterrey. We came here to log another Michelin starred restaurant and the prices, considering that Pangea really earns their star, are very reasonable. The service is impeccable, starting with our primary server Zenon Lopez and extending to the entire crew. Timing of delivering each course was perfect and they called us an uber to take us to the airport as soon as we were done. The bread service was simple but featured a wonderful crusty 'not so' sourdough with butter that was flecked with flowers and herbs. This was followed by a steak tartare that integrated cornichons and almonds for texture and crunch. Of the mains, the cabrito and lechon were standouts. The cabrito contains parts of the entire goat, deboned and formed into a rectangular prism and was very tasty. The lechon was also boneless. The meat was incredibly tender and was topped with crispy skin. Both were 'sauced' tableside. I'll want try the duck breast next time. Do not skip dessert, as they are phenomenal here. Both the mamey mostachon and the mango came with a nice sherbet (pixtle - mamey seed - and coconut, respectively) and were composed with many ingredients, resulting in a complex, refreshing flavor profile. Note that Pangea offers a daily menu with an appetizer, main and dessert for $885 pesos, which is a good deal (but we wanted to try the lechon and cabrito so we went a la carte). We will definitely be back!

Pangea was our 2nd Michelin experience (the 1st being KOLI) in Monterrey. They offer a 10-course prefix menu for 2395 MXN. This was much more of a typical dine-in experience compared to KOLI. However the food presentation was still excellent. While KOLI edges it out in the overall experience, I found the food taste at Pangea to be on par. I actually liked some of the dishes here better such as the hamachi sashimi. If I had to make one suggestion it would be to add a bit more variety to differentiate the 2 dessert courses. During our visit, both were sorbet based. I think the whole experience would have ended on a more memorable note if the 2 items had different textures.

Maybe I'm judging this place a bit harshly but it has a Michelin star. Or maybe Michelin is just giving those out like candy these days. Food was decent but dishes were managed in a super ham handed way. Not what I would expect from a place with a star. Hamachi tatami was super fresh but cut way too thick and the sauce didn't complement it well at all. Pasta was too salty and I dot. Think the noodles were hand made. On the plus side dessert was fantastic. But other negative piece here was service was slow and unresponsive. Friendly enough but just not Michelin grade

This restaurant was one of my best dinning experiences in Monterrey and it left me absolutely impressed. Their service was exceptional, which extended even to non-Spanish speakers like myself. The staff was warm, welcoming, and patient, making the entire dining experience feel like a breeze. The ambiance in the middle of the day was very business-y as most people seated around us seem to be in nice dress shirts and clothes, some even with laptops out. When we visited at night, they sat us outside. There was much greenery and decoration separating us from the surrounding mall, I didn't even notice the mall. Additionally the tables were spaced well apart with most people still in more formal attire. The moment I first walked in, I knew I was in for a treat. The drinks selection was truly remarkable, offering a variety of delightful concoctions that perfectly complemented the flavors of the dishes. And they'll even make something off the menu if you ask (or they'll do their best). The food, without a doubt, was the star of the show. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. However, the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the mango dessert. Words cannot do justice to its heavenly taste. It was so incredible that I couldn't resist going back a second time just to indulge in it again. While the mango dessert was a standout, I must also mention the chocolate cake, which was equally divine and a must-try for any chocolate lover. Lastly, the restaurant's specialty, the cabrito or baby goat, was an absolute delight. Cooked to perfection, it was tender, flavorful, and a true testament to the chef's skill. In conclusion, this restaurant surpassed all my expectations. The impeccable service, delectable drinks and food, especially the unforgettable mango dessert and chocolate cake, and the exceptional cabrito, all contributed to an extraordinary dining experience.

WOW!This meal was spectacular for a variety of reasons... Crema de Queso Camembert | Rich, creamy queso fills a bread bowl to the brim with intense flavors - almonds and hints of fruit finish this appetizer off to make it delectable. It may be slightly filling for an appetizer, but I'd highly recommend (and re-try) this one-of-a-kind queso bread bowl! 7/10 Gratín de Cangrejo | A dip made of mixed cheeses, salsa, and crab make for a rather tasty treat! Dip in some of the brioche they provide for quite a tasty bite.. another dish that "could" be an entree at other restaurants. Amazingly delicious! 7.5/10 Moras Tonic | SUPER well-mixed blackberry-themed tonic! My girlfriend really enjoyed this one. It tasted more like a fruity drink than an alcoholic beverage! Well done, bartenders! 8.7/10 Ginger | If you're a fan of Mezcal, this is the drink to get! I'm not sure if I've tried a better crafted Mezcal concoction than this here. The ginger soothes the punishment mezcal sometimes gives (haha) for a soothing combination that fits perfectly in balance. 8/10 Pulpo Asado | THIS is THE dish to get! The Octopus legs are so well-cooked! (I do not mean over-cooked, I mean perfectly cooked so that the outer layer has a slight crisp and the inner portion is juicy & tender. The side chickpeas and other additions that accompanies this dish complimented it WELL! I've never tried an octopus (pulpo) dish this tasty. Don't miss out!! 9.4/10 Camarones Grandes a la Plancha | Black rice with grilled shrimp fill a plate for another masterpiece by Pangea. It was good, but the rice may have been a tad too moist for the dish. Other than that, very tasty! 7.9/10 Panna Cotta de Tres Leches | Indecisice with the amount of delicious dishes pangea has to offer - for even dessert??? Well, look no further! This Panna Cotta + Tres Leches craft will top off any dessert you may come across in the region. With hints of fruity guayaba flavoring the caramelized rice that are sprinkled all among the dish, you'll be amazed by this work of art. It has a sorbet of horchata encompassing the mass. Break the caramelization and enjoy such a unique combo of classic and too-good-to-be-true flavors! 9/10 Pastelito Tibio de Chocolate | A delicious take on a lava cake! For any chocolate lover, this may be the dessert for you - BUT if you aren't as big of a richly crafted chocolate lover, I'd highly recommend the Panna Cotta. 8/10 Pangea is a work of art - & I mean that. Each dish holds a high level of intricacy in craftsmanship with flavors bold and memorable. I'm writing this a month and a half out from our trip & I can still remember the taste of a few of these dishes super well. This is known to be one of the top restaurants in Latin America - & now we know why! Definitely coming back if we're ever in the area.

This was a stellar meal and one of the highlights of 2019 for me. I visited in August 2019 and splurged on the tasting menu. It was worth every penny. We started with a selection of "snacks," which included a clever interpretation of carne seca, which was paired with a lovely prosecco. The following courses were the Baja amberjack, seared foie gras with chicken skin, liquid ocean ravioli, roasted duck breast, baby goat, and finished with chocolate and caramel and petit fours. The biggest hit of the night was the liquid ocean ravioli, which thankfully they instructed to eat in one bite, because it was truly liquid inside! The filling had flavors of anchovy and parmesan, and it was sauced with black truffle, so a total umami bomb! The baby goat was also a big hit and an elegant translation of a local specialty. Each dish was creative and beautifully presented. The service was relaxed and well paced. I hope to return, perhaps with a better grasp of Spanish next time!

I really love this place, I felt happy with all! Everything was good! I ordered tomato soup, duck and banana bread for desert!

    Ravioli. Very interesting combination.

I was really excited to eat at this place. I read that it was in the top 50 in the world and that's always on my list of things to do when I visit a new city. I decided to try their tasting menu before I even arrived at the restaurant. They sat me outside which was OK it was very hot and there was a lot of flies which was a bit distracting. But the service was above and beyond so that made up for the occasional fly that was trying to land on my gourmet food. I included photos of all of the courses in my tasting menu I also did a wine pairing which was pretty interesting- probably my favorite thing was the Mexican sake- all in all I highly recommend this place but I would recommend not sitting outside on a summer day. I was really nervous about eating baby goat but I will say it was my favorite thing on the menu.

    A gift from our Chef.
