My view of table for one on patio. Great service!

5 stars!! I walked into this establishment because my hotel was across the street. I just arrived from Austin, TX one hour prior. I was starving. The music and the smell of Smokey firewood and steaks pulled me in from the street. Beautiful foyer- beautiful people in the lobby. I traveled alone to Monterrey and love a great dining experience so this place may look like it could fill the bill. The manager came to me and said there would be a 20 min wait. I asked him if it would be worth my wait and he assured me it would indeed. About 15 minutes later my hostess lead me to a cozy table on the patio. A lovely night out so it was perfect. Between the restaurant manager and 2 servers I was treated like a queen. I told them to do all the ordering for me. I wanted multiple small bites to fill on tonight. A shot of Don Julio 70 and a beer to get started. The chips even had the Smokey ness that filled this resturant. I am so happy I chose this place and had them do the picking for me. I decided to order dessert and latte to go. Bravo so wonderful. Treat yourself to flavors that will make you still dream of the food the next day because that is what I am doing as I write this well deserved review!!

Really a truly lovely experience with impeccable service and wonderful food. Highlights: the cauliflower appetizer, and the corn cake dessert. The steak was quite delicious - but in true Mexican fashion with beef, was a tad bit lean and dry. But the taste made up for it. Get the corn cake with honey dessert - It will change your life. It's not an inexpensive endeavor, hence four stars, and they lost my reservation (but still found me a table.) But some high end eating in San Pedro!!

Toasted tortillas and salsa table service. Salty and with a smoky flavor

This is a restauran that market itself as an upscale steakhouse. It is indeed very nice. The decor is modern but a little bit tacky for my taste (too much gold and blacks). The hostess are friendly. It's the waiters that kinda ruin the experience. Not very attentive, serious all the time (not a single smile), etc. I understand that they are working, and have no obligation to smile. But they make you feel a little bit unwelcome and annoyed if you decline wine with your meal. The food is very good but not memorable. The tortillas table service and salsas are very tasty and served warm (as it should be). The meat is high quality and made right to your liking. The signature of the house is the smoky flavor that they infuse in all their dishes. We were not very hungry so we order tacos. Mine was thin slices of ribeye with fideo pasta on top and chorizo bits. They were really good. My wife ordered steak tacos. Although they were very tender, the taco was kind of plain. We ordered a queso fundido so she can up the flavor a notch. Overall the experience is very positive. However, the service is not great and I think in terms of price and quality you can have a better food experience in some other steakhouse in the area

This is cool place to have a good meal, nice atmosphere and good service. We had a business function and several dishes were served ranging from appetizers like salmon on toasted bread, grilled octopus and meat with beets, cheese and really good options for red wine. The main offerings we selected were boneless rib, grilled beef, asparagus and French fries. The meet is prepared to perfection, whether grilled or slow cooked. And the service was top notch.

The food is great. The place has great music and a great atmosphere. Innovation in food is constant. Highly recommend

This place for dinner was amazingggggg! We have been before to El Gallo, La Nacional and La Embajada, but This is my new fav place to have dinner in San Pedro, Monterrey, Mexico! From the service to the quality of food and atmosphere and the fact that they are open late not like in Texas where everything is closing at 11pm and if you walk in at 10:30 the workers make faces, here they wait until you are done you can take your time and there is no rush, which made me give La Torrada 5 stars! La Torrada was Impeccable its a must dine experience! We will definitely be back!

Lemon cheese cake- wonderful (With Don Julio 70 to accompany it)

Excellent food and service. Cuts are just right. Even the tostadas and salsa were just something else.

Throw in the elegant…read moredecor, live music and great company and you couldn't ask for more They start you off with a selection of four different salsas and tostadas. Then we had the opportunity to share the Coliflor al Grill (which is also fried by the way!), Salmon al Chipotle Balsámico, and for dessert the Pan de Elote with Glorias ice cream. Everything was super tasty from start to finish. The servers keep an eye on you and make sure to take empty plates off the table refill your drinks and offer you more things as soon as you're done. The restaurant is located in a nice plaza where other restaurants are also located. Convenient parking on lower levels.

Upon making our reservation we were not informed there would be a time limit for our dinner. Nevertheless, upon arrival we were told we only had 2 hours at our table since they would use it. And sure enough two hours later we were asked to leave even though we were still ordering drinks. It was not as if we were just loitering without paying. Really rude in our opinion. Then there was the food. If I had to describe it in one word it would be: uneventful. We tried the chicharron de rib-eye and another steak as well as three sides. The quality of the meat was lacking and not well cooked. The sides were bland. It might be the fact that I had such high expectations that I found this place a disappointment. Drinks were nothing out of the ordinary. In general, overpriced for what it is. Apparently the place doubles as a night club.Perhaps if you only go for drinks or at times where there's music it might be different. But if you are looking for exceptional food, it's best to stick with La Nacional. If you want to splurge best to do it in style and with great quality.
