CLIENT BEWARE!!
My husband and I retained Regina Pangerl last year for representation regarding a custody and child support matter, and honestly we would have been better off representing ourselves. There is a long list of things Mrs. Pangerl did Throughout the litigation which cause irreparable harm to our case to where we had to terminate representation and seek counsel elsewhere.
Regina missed very import deadlines, she refused to give significant evidence to the court during trials and she never met with us prior to hearings to prepare us for the hearing or cross examination.
Regina had several personal issues going on throughout the time we retained her, including several bouts of supposed illness where her office was closed for weeks at a time, her husbands personal health and Mrs. Pangerl going on an extended holiday vacation getting stranded in Hawaii during Christmas. The reason why we know such personal matters of Mrs. Pangerl is because she would often call us to let us know the very personal details of her own lfe while ignoring very important issues in our case- often extending the conversations unnecessarily with excuses for her shortcomings and then billing us for them after.
And as unprofessional as this all is, this is not even the tip of the iceberg of the damage that this woman has caused in our case. Because of Mrs. Pangerl personal issues, she waited over an entire year to start billing for any kind of services while also demanding payments with amounts that were inconsistent with the services that were rendered. We would ask for bills frequently, only to be told that she was so far behind on her work that she would have to get us a bill sometime soon. This went on for over a year! She was never forthcoming and the amount that was owed to her for her services and continue to bill us for unnecessary charges, including the above personal conversations.
Moreover, she fell asleep on the day that we were supposed to have a very important hearing and was a no call no show to the hearing, to where myself and the judge were frantically trying to contact her while the hearing was going on to see if she was going to make it. It wasn't until the later part of the evening, where Regina called hysterical, explaining why her personal issues got in the way of her being able to show up for court, or even communicate to anyone involved that there was an issue, preventing her from being able to attend court. As a result, we were pushed into a situation without representation that we could not recover from. The last straw of wanting to part ways with Mrs. Pangerl was when she sent us private HIPAA protected medical records of the opposing party that we were not supposed to have access to. She called us hysterical, stating that we needed to delete the evidence to ensure that it would not be found out because she could get in a lot of trouble.
Her negligence is dangerous for those that have protected private information they don't want getting leaked to the public.
It is because of these reasons, and more that I would caution anyone who seeks to retain her for any type of services family court related or otherwise. This woman has no ethics, and it seems like her personal issues have clouded her ability to fully be present for her clients. read more
