Have you ever watched that show, "IT Crowd"? It's British so that's okay if it is a no. There's this one episode where the characters end up at this place called Messy Joe's. Humor ensues and there are clowns with red rubber shoes. This place is like that during December months because everyone was in Christmas pajamas and T's. The atmosphere was light and family friendly. They were missing a clown, but had a table magician. How was the food? Good question! It was delightful. There's a quality of it that feels classic, to me who has a romantic idea of what classic actually is. The spaghetti is home spun and their sauce with meatball make this affordable family spot, into a diamond in the rough; that is, a culinary surprise. The Dover location is smaller but nicer than their other. Seems they hire very young high school kids, but the service is still decent. The past 3 years the quality has significantly decreased unfortunately, but we still continue to go because the food is good ( depends on what you get) and we love the oil dip with the bread! read more

Things have really gone downhill here. Got a small pizza with extra cheese, of the 9 slices 3 had no cheese whatsoever. Way too much dough was used, was about an inch thick crust with raw dough in the middle. I've ordered my last pizza here. The Dennison location still provides a quality product. read more

Nice little Italian lunch stop. We got pizza n spaghetti, of course. Side salads were sparsely topped on shedded bed o lettuce. Pizza was good, nice loaves of fresh bread came w/ entrees. The pizza was just ok, the sauce lacked flavor. But what really tipped the scales was the tossed salad. Look at the picture folks, for real! 1 black olive sliced 5 ways, 2 green olives, 1 cherry tomato & the 3 partial croutons that added up to maybe 1 complete crouton - next to a pile of shredded iceburg. Unbelievable! I would've sent it back to the kitchen if I thought it wouldn't embarrass my hubby. As it was, it was worth the entertaining look of horror and pity on his face as he watched me eat it. The creamy garlic dressing that is "new" tastes like miracle whip with mild spices too faint to make out. Yum! read more

Great local restaurant and the pizza is amazing! A little pricey though and they have a unique way of doing carry out. You have to take the alley and park in the back of the restaurant, stay in your car, and they come to the vehicle. Not a big fan of that, as it's just a way to get tips in my opinion for carry out orders. The pizza is definitely good though and you won't be disappointed! read more

We picked up a pizza and salad from Pangrazio's on our way to FL. We were told that due to the COVID, they are not delivering after 4 PM, which didn't make much sense to us. I kinda wish the descriptions that accompany the star ratings with Yelp had something between 3 stars, (A-OK), and two stars, (Meh I've experienced better.) In my opinion this place fits squarely in-between.the twain. Due, (I hope). to the hour, 2:15 P.M. on a weekday, the place was just this side of deserted. The sign at the reception kiosk said "Seat Yourself", and we did, and also grabbed menus as we passed the station. Basically true to it's name, not much beyond the two Italian categories. A few salads and a few sandwiches, most with an Italian Genesis. A "Wheat" crust option under the personal pizzas caught my eye. Call me a stickler, but I kinda think ALL their crusts and noodles were made from wheat, as ther was no proud exclamation of "gluten-free" anywhere to be seen! I asked the waitress if they were attempting to say "Whole wheat", and she confirmed my suspicion. So that's what I ordered, the lady ordered their luncheon pasta plate which, when it arrived 15 minutes before my pizza, (have you heard of timing the service MR. Pangrazio?), was comprised of a quite small salad bowl of pasta in a "meat sauce" that forgot the meat and a few freshly baked bread knots with dipping sauce. The lady is not a huge consumer of protein, so it's total absence left her unphased. My tardy pizza arrived when she was nicely completing her dining experience, and, as one must do with bread at the grocery, one must check the fine print. Based simply on the color of the crust, it might have contained some whole-wheat, but it certainly was not entirely whole-wheat, unless it was bleached-whole wheat, which is difficult to come by. Nonethess, it was a fairly light and airy, and not exactly "thin" crust as the waitress described, indeed it was medium crust at the least and thick to some. While somewhat sparse, the toppings were fresh and flavorful. Service for the entire room was left to a single waitress, and while stretched, was just this side of marginally adequate, If we were to return, it would not be with any excited anticipation, just a means to a full belly. and a nonplussed palate. read more

Ordered their Gluten Free pizza well they made a mistake and I ate a regular pizza. I have celiac. Well I spent the night in misery in the bathroom. All I got was Sorry. Not looking for anything Butt. That is not a mistake to make owning a restaraunt. EDUCATE your staff on what a mistake like that can do to a person. It is serious. Ok place - good for families. My husband and I went here on date night and I was disappointed that I could not have a glass of wine - no alcoholic beverages served here. The pizza here is thin. The service is a little slow. We had the pepperoni pizza and buffalo chicken pizza. We liked then both The buffalo chicken pizza wasn't very spicy and the chicken wasnt that great but the atmosphere is nice and clean. The pepperoni pizza sauce was a little sweet.
