The reservations were so simple plus, picking up the key to our room was even easier than ever checking into a hotel. The rooms were super clean, we stayed in the newer part of the establishment, which is the barn. My sister-in-law and sister gave me a hard time because they thought the barn meant something different. To their surprise, they love the place!! We stayed tonight so we got to enjoy the yummy breakfast. We'll definitely be back.

The Cabin was large with washer, drier, wood fireplace, chopped wood outside, heat control in each room and a humidifier in the main room. The key was left in the lock box outside which was nice to just go straight to the cabin. I also liked the fact that the entrance to the cabin had a secure walk way before you entered the living quarters, that way you could leave your boards outside but still secure. There were some oddities i must say especially in the kitchen. The (side by side) fridge was set flush against the wall so that the freezer door couldn't open all the way only swung open 90º before you hit the wall (couldn't open 180º) which forced us to put some items in sideways. also the stove was almost flush against the kitchen cabinets so that you couldn't open the stove all the way (maybe 45º?) it would hit against the kitchen cabinet knob. Both these things combined made it difficult to make store bought pizza since the toppings had slid to one side in the freezer and having to take the pizza in and out of the oven at an angle. Out was more difficult as the oven door was hot and avoiding it was a bit tricky. The beds were a bit hard and springy you could feel the springs in your back. Not that im expecting a pillow top mattress or anything but having had back surgery I'm a bit picky about my sleeping environment. Pros: just a few steps from being on the slope of Navajo Peak (beginner side), all the amenities that you need. Cons: No hot tub, hard beds, bad layout in the kitchen. Over all, it comes down to location, location, location... so right on the slopes is A-OK for me.. if you're planning a long trip and lots of cooking in the oven you might think twice.

No worries though as there was plenty of up close parking near the lift ticket office on a holiday weekend. No parking fee's at the mountain. Charming unit for the price and a good value as far as a studio at the mountain base goes. This unit is not updated but the funky old stove and fridge add a little to the charm factor. If you want a Colorado Ski Resort vibe, you can drive up the road a couple miles to a couple other options (priced accordingly). We encountered some problems with the unit upon check-in and management immediately addressed the problem. The problems reappeared on day two and management again immediately responded. I would rate the property/unit with 3 stars (A-OK) but bumped it to 4 stars due to management going over and above to make things right and assure that we were comfortable. I recommend this place for a good value vacation spot. Great people!

Actually had working Wi-Fi and cell reception. Of the big 5 these are the best accommodations I have found. Pay the difference to stay in park - you will not be sorry. Dinning room was good; as was the food - depending on how busy things are - the wait may be a bit. The General Store is well stocked and easily accessible. I can not stress how much nicer all the big 5 are 'off season'. Before Memorial Day and after Labor Day. Otherwise the crowds really detract from the experience. Plus the rooms are not air conditioned and can be a touch warm in the summer months. Most viewpoints are a bit crowded but walk some trails and you'll find some that are all yours to enjoy.

Never got so close to nature while camping before…read more For my families annual camping trip, this location was chosen. We arrived early Friday morning and were able to grab campsites near each other that could occupy 30 of us. If you're into hammock'ing like myself, there are many trees up the hill from the campsites. Amanda and Dell did an awesome job helping us with anything we needed, showed us where everything was, and kept the sites including bathrooms really clean. The only thing they didn't mention was there were wolves in the area. (Story time!) On our last morning at 4am my cousin heard footsteps which he thought was our uncle. Turned out to be grey wolves bigger than the German Shepherd my cousin brought. The car alarm took a few trys for them to even budge. With our flashlights we were able to see 6 up in the woods. We then jumped in the car and left until sunrise. As for the fishing at Navajo Lake, we caught about 30 Chubs which we threw back and a few 10in Rainbow with our full day boat rental and 6 people. Worms were being hit more than power bait jfyi.

Parking spot at camp site and parking lots for extra vehicles. Fire pit and picnic table at camp site. I liked when we arrived my campsite said my name and arrival and departure dates. Close proximity to the lake and launch pad for boats. Cons: the weekend we visited it was warm. 80 during day and 40 at night. We got sun burned. Living in Vegas we are usto hot sun but not a sun so close like up on the mountain. This camp site and a few others had no shade. We had to go buy a canape to seek shelter from the sun. And when we did that we wanted to set it up in this one spot that was shady most of the day but there was a large pile of dry dead tree branches which was disheartening because fire level is at extreme. I'm not sure if we truly were allowed but the campsite host allowed small fires and was also selling fire wood. So we cleaned up and moved all the branches away from the area. Nothing like manual labor on vacation! I spotted a few other piles around our side of the compound. Camp site # 14 is along the road just a FYI. You can see the cars and trucks go by with out a guardrail but quite at night. Overall a nice peaceful place thank you!

We book for the next year before we leave each year. Last year Ed double booked, and bumped us. We agreed to change to a weekend in a different month, considering mistakes happen and we enjoyed the lake enough to bend over backward, moving all 7 families. This year, same issue, and the same family that booked during the same time. We were not notified of this, and only found out when one family in our group called to change their reservation. We have photographic proof of the reservation made one year in advance, and yet they are unwilling to honor their reservation. It's a great place for a spur of the moment stay, but do NOT trust your reservations and do not trust any errors to be rectified appropriately. If you are looking for a family vacation or reunion location, look elsewhere. It's hard enough coordinating so many schedules, don't add showing up to no reservation to your plate.

The general store is cute and well equipped for any necessities that you may have left behind .. there are also some local treasures, such as jerky and tallow cream. The lodge is also extremely dog friendly.. bring your pups. If you were looking for glitz and Glam, this is not your place... The lodge is truly a place to disconnect, unwind, reset, and recharge.

They also have various animal friends - two kittens, Mighty the horse (plus two others whose names I never learned) and Jessie the dog, who instantly took to my five year old, following him around for all of the two days. Maybe they were playing hide and seek, I dunno, but they were sure having fun and no adults were in evidence. They all headed for home about 10:30 leaving dead silence in their wake. According to the travel booking site the rooms were going fast, only two rooms left. Turned out that two rooms was all there was. :P I think we drew straws and I didn't have to share. But maybe it was rigged and they just let me have a room to myself. I'd definitely stay here again.

Great accessibility's. Plenty of room to park whatever you arrive in. My Husband and I stayed in one room and his Sister and her Husband in the other. There was a great porch with 2 chairs between the two units. We were surprised how large and spacious it was inside. 2 Queen beds, 1 dresser and 2 chairs were the extent of the furniture. The bathroom was good sized with a shower only sized for one. No Tub. But the shower head was tall, the water was hot and it was clean. The bed's were not the most comfortable. The two chairs in the room were plastic outdoor chairs. The T.V. was a 12 or 13 inch. But was placed on a beautiful antique dresser. For the size of the room I stayed in only one picture on the wall made for some scarce plain white walls, But CLEAN triumphs over decor in my book anytime. You can tell the rooms are well kept. I believe with some simple additions this place would be top notch. Notes: At the time, was cheapest room available in Circleville. It has VERY good Air Conditioning. NON smoking, NON pet, great smelling room. No Microwave No Cell Service A few bugs, but nothing unexpected for the location. If the Owners invested in a few strategically placed pictures, a table and chairs that are a bit more for the indoors and a Microwave they would improve 50% practically immediately. I would imagine a flower pot with real flowers for the porch and a bit newer and or bigger T.V. would take the improvement to as close to as good as it gets. Just my opinion.

Suprisingly Comfortable!…read more Stayed here last month, the evening temp dropped down to 0°. But, the yurt kept us warm, even to the point where I started sweating. There are three twins size beds, a futon, and a queen. Pretty well stocked with kitchen essentials, plenty of wood, and extra folding chairs for relaxing outside. If you want to getaway from other humans, this is your spot. Location was awesome, close to Bryce.
