This place is an absolute GEM and an Oasis for anyone traveling through St George or looking for a top notch place to board your horse!!! Your horse will thank you for clean, spacious, climate controlled stalls with top of the line orthopedic flooring, noble ground feeders, allergy free bedding, round pen and large turnouts. It doesn't stop there, the newly renovated western themed, adorable VRBO with a huge king bed was by far the BEST sleep we had on the road (or at home for that matter)! AND convenient trailer parking! But that is just the facility....I absolutely cannot say enough about the hospitality, professionalism and passion of the owners/hosts of this facility! We were so impressed with the overall experience that we extended our stay for our horse for at least another month. Venus loves it there and with vaccine requirements we have "peace of mind" that my horse will be safe and healthy while staying there!

Ask the Community - Horse Haven Ranch

Can a Vet perform surgery on my horse at your equine facility in St. George Utah?

That is a great question! Although we work hard to have a clean, safe, and biosecure facility for horses to board, it is not a fully sterilized environment safe for surgery. Your horse is at its most vulnerable state when sedated and undergoing…

I had need of a local rental because of work and rented a condo in April 2018. Other than about 9 months when I was on another project, my family utilized their service consistently through June of this year (2023). The condo(s) that our family rented at very comfortable and fully finished. Over our time at Sports Village, we communicated when necessary with Jen or Chad who always addressed our concerns without hesitation completely. When it became time for us to move our contact changed to Randy. He is a top shelf individual whom we greatly appreciated when we were wrapping up our stay. I want to assure any who may happen upon my review that these folks were instrumental in our comfort and home wellness and wholeheartedly recommend their service. Thank you

This is the perfect place to stay if you are headed out to the plays in Tuacahn and a short drive away from all the Downtown activities and restaurants. Speaking of downtown, check out the Farmer's Market on Saturday- the many antique/ refurbishing shops and fun restaurants. There really is much to do in the little town, and staying at Las Palmas is the perfect landing spot to adventure out from. The rentals are spacious, but depending on the unit, some are dated or gaudy depending on taste (some are also more modernly furnished); the units come with washer/dryer, kitchens and BBQ's and all the amenities you need to cook in and feel at home. I believe they offer monthly rentals in addition to vacay rentals, starting at $95/night vacay or $1,000/month for a 1 bedroom. There are several pools on the grounds, playgrounds, plenty of parking and the Green Valley Resort Spa is adjacent to the property- **Now called the Amira Resort, coming Oct 1, 2017, which will be a 4 star and 4 diamond luxury property - so a lovely Spa is located right next door!**

The club house staff are high schoolers who are not helpful and could really careless if you were there. The billiards table is broken the ping pong tables are warped and so if you're looking for a resort place to stay and enjoy this is not the place but if you're looking for a place to stay on St. George and your going to go out and explore St. George this is a great place to stay.

Our experience, so far, at Las Palmas through Five Seasons has been disappointing. 1. We arrive at the 4pm check in and the unit smells and the beds aren't made. They send somebody to fix it. 2. The thermostat doesn't go under 72. When we call to ask about it... they say that the condenser will freeze if the thermostat is under 72. 3. There are no soaps or shampoo in the bathrooms. Lol. I ask about it, and they explain that due to COVID, they're unable to get shipments of little shampoo bottles. I ask if that means they're not able to go to the store and stock the bathroom with basic shampoo or soap. They say that's not included. This is just day one of a three day stay. Let's see what else we discover. Update: On our 2nd night, we asked for a late checkout. The lady said no. We just asked for one hour. She said no. I said... I think you kind of owe us. She said she was going to call the police to kick us out because I was harassing her. ‍

The reason for my updated review is to let you know what to expect since Amira changed from a…read morestaffed resort to strictly vacation rentals. We were here 1 1/2 years ago when it was a staffed resort. Now, it's a vacation rental with each unit owned by investors but managed by Red Rock Vacation Rentals. The problem is, this place wasn't designed to be vacation rental friendly. I own one in Sedona so I know what a vacation rental should offer its guests. Amira is in a residential neighborhood with no restaurants, bars or grocery stores. There are no food options on property so you will have to go out to get food. As a side note, there also weren't any food options when we stayed here before. That's just the way it is. The rooms are large and spacious -- the biggest fault is they are lacking kitchens. Every vacation rental I've ever stayed in has had a kitchen, even if only a basic one. There is a small refrigerator, older microwave and hot kettle in each room along with a K-Cup coffee maker. No cooktop, no large fridge and no place to prepare food. Prior to selling these as vacation rentals, I really wish they would have added small kitchenettes and a place outside to BBQ. My guess it was probably sold "as is" due to poor occupancy. The last time we were here was in September 2018 and there was hardly anyone here. OK, here are some specifics: PROS It's Quiet - There are about 50 rooms and there are only about 5 are occupied this week as far as I can tell. I don't know if it is because of COVID or just the time of the year, but it's a ghost town. I like that part but for some it could be considered a con. If you like privacy, you'll get it here. No screaming kids at the adults only pool either. Yay! Amira offers two large pools (one adult, one kid-friendly) and a hot tub - Nice pool facilities but wish there were more covered areas with fans as it was 107 here today. Clean Rooms and Grounds - With the exception of the pool water, both the grounds and rooms are very clean. I was shocked at how clean the room was. Nice job housekeeping! Pool had lots of greasy film and bugs floating on it with no skimmer to clean it myself. The 1-bedroom has a large outdoor patio/deck which plenty of room to relax. Pets are Welcome - It's alway nice to bring our dog with us. Make sure you ask for a pet friendly unit. Pet fee not bad. There is a nice park at the bottom of the hill (5 minute drive) where you can walk your pup. Nice Gym and Guest Laundry Area CONS The biggest drawback -- Not a vacation rental friendly place. No luggage carts, no kitchen or cooking area in the room and no BBQ area outside. The room has a small basic fridge and an old microwave. There are no instructions in the room for accessing WiFi. No food or beverage options on site or nearby. Just a few staff members wondering around during the day. Pool water dirty and pool chairs were falling apart and hard to operate. Pool towels in the room are horrible and don't cover the chairs. Had to buy some in town because I hate bad pool towels. Not in a Commercial Location - You'll need to drive to town for grocery shopping, food and beverage. It's about 15 minutes. BAD BED!!!! The bed mattress is really saggy on the sides and extremely uncomfortable. This place does not have heavenly beds, that's for sure. If your primary requirement is a good bed, I'd skip this place. No daily housekeeping option. No robes (we brought our own tho). Spa is closed but assuming its due to COVID. In short, they are promoting this as a vacation rental property when it isn't equipped to be one. Since our last visit, I've noticed the human/service touch is gone. Being here is almost like being in the twilight zone. :( Adding small kitchens in the rooms, a BBQ area and some nice pool furniture/towels would help to bring more life to this place. I wouldn't buy one of these units as an investment until this was done.

We relaxed the second we walked in, and are already dreaming of our next stay. Thanks Amira! We'll be back
