Same set-up as most, pre-pay and tag your site with the info you get at the check-in post. $15 per night. The Canyon is just 15 minute walk from most of the sites. We you leave there is a shower you can rent for $5 per a person at the first RV park as you head back into town.

There are a few things that give me an indication of a well-run park. 1) Friendly caring staff 2) clean well-manicured RV sites and 3) The facilities are clean, well-ventilated, i.e. smell fresh and operational. Henries Hitch n Post excels on all 3! If these items are in order, you can pretty much expect the hook-ups are in order as well and they were. A note. As far as facilities are operational goes, if the park has a laundry facility my experience is there tends to be some "out of order" machines the majority of the time. Not here! The laundry room has over 10 machines and 10 dryers (didn't count) and everyone one is operational. Wow! First rate. As for the human touch, its amazing. Our short stay turned into an unanticipated longer stay due to a family emergency. Immediately the managers Ed and Beth were on top of things to assist in helping me. The emergency required some family help and Ed and Beth made sure they could stay on site so we could be close together. My instructions from them were take what time you need to address your situation and don't worry about other things we got you. This amazing hospitality and concern for us was such a big help. I told friends and family about this and a common comment is small town hospitality. Yes, probably some of that but it's mainly Ed and Beth. That's the type of people they are. Warm, caring and sincere with big hearts.

Very clean, level site with artificial grass and picnic table. Laundry room was very nice and had a lot of washers and dryers. Super nice people!! They even took me back and forth to the laundry room in their golf carts because I had a lot of laundry. We stayed at the North campground for three nights and then the overflow area for two. There are a few other camping areas as well, there is a south, and then at least two or three additional camping areas near by. I found them all when I got lost hiking around. The camp spots are not all created equal, some a far better then others, and without knowing the area first, you can't possibly know if your getting a quality spot. We reserved a space before we left. When we got there, we found that the place that we had reserved, did not have a flat space for a table next to the RV spot, we would have to hike up and down a little hill to get to a table every time we wanted anything. It just didn't work for our style of camping this time around. We spoke to the camps hosts and they let us switch spots to another open one with no problem. The next plot fit our requirements much better. Although its good to know that not all spots have a water spicket. Each lot does have a fire pit area with a flip style sort of grill, but no BBQ's. There are bathrooms, just toilets, the hand sinks don't work because they say they are trying to conserve water (although I just found that really odd, because I would just go to the spicket and wash my hands). The bathrooms are clean, and well maintained. Also, the lake was not very yielding. You had to throw back anything under 17", which was everything that was caught by my group. All in all, it was a fun, quiet place to go and I would recommend it to any outdoor lover. Next time I go, I will be tent camping and I will probably stay at the South campsite for that.

They have 30 amp and 50 amp., showers, laundry room, even a dog wash for your dirty fur babies from all the hikes they are doing. A local stream is behind the campground, which is really cool you can walk to, for the dogs to play in. They even have a large gift shop and each campsite is equipped with a fire pit. They sell the fire wood and fire starters inside the office. They will even deliver the firewood to campsite if you choose to. This campground is only open for the season and usually closes after October 31 and reopens around April. Will definitely come back!!!!

As there is no cable there were about 4 boxes of dvds to keep you entertained. It is not air conditioned which is a necessity during summer months and the blinds had some missing slats thus the 4 stars. Other than that, it is peaceful, safe, and quiet. Brad makes his rounds to make sure all is well. There were perhaps 3 or 4 RVs hooked up but never saw or heard anyone. The property is huge- the jack rabbits come into your front lawn. Several prairie dogs popped their bodies up to greet us the first afternoon. Gas for your car and a convenience store are down the road to your left. Keep hydrated with water in your car and ice too- you never know so be careful about turning around - you don't want to be stuck in sand with no WiFi like us at Capitol Reef miles from here.

I exited the freeway hoping to find some shade (temps were in the upper 90s), in a public place, where I could safely park for a brief time and I happily saw the sign for the Beaver Camperland, in Beaver, Utah. I spoke with the proprietor at the office, explained my situation and how I just needed some shade where I could close my eyes for 30 minutes. To which he said, "OK, that'll be $10." I realize this is a business, out there to provide a service for campers, and it wasn't a LOT of $$, but whatever happened to being a kind human assisting another human who is alone and tired and only needed some shuteye in the shade of a tree on the lot? It wouldn't have caused any hardship on him or the business?!? Just WOW! Needless to say, I was shocked and disgusted and I left, found a speck of shade behind a quickie mart -probably not a very safe place, but rested for a short time, then went on my way. NOT NICE!

Most of the people here appear to live here full time. Wouldn't recommend if not self contained, since they lock the bathrooms up, allegedly from 8 PM-6 AM. We're usually here late fall and late winter. We do not shower in our trailer to avoid introducing excess moisture in. Two weeks ago we tried the bathroom doors at 8AM and 11AM...still locked and so was the office.

Never got so close to nature while camping before…read more For my families annual camping trip, this location was chosen. We arrived early Friday morning and were able to grab campsites near each other that could occupy 30 of us. If you're into hammock'ing like myself, there are many trees up the hill from the campsites. Amanda and Dell did an awesome job helping us with anything we needed, showed us where everything was, and kept the sites including bathrooms really clean. The only thing they didn't mention was there were wolves in the area. (Story time!) On our last morning at 4am my cousin heard footsteps which he thought was our uncle. Turned out to be grey wolves bigger than the German Shepherd my cousin brought. The car alarm took a few trys for them to even budge. With our flashlights we were able to see 6 up in the woods. We then jumped in the car and left until sunrise. As for the fishing at Navajo Lake, we caught about 30 Chubs which we threw back and a few 10in Rainbow with our full day boat rental and 6 people. Worms were being hit more than power bait jfyi.

Parking spot at camp site and parking lots for extra vehicles. Fire pit and picnic table at camp site. I liked when we arrived my campsite said my name and arrival and departure dates. Close proximity to the lake and launch pad for boats. Cons: the weekend we visited it was warm. 80 during day and 40 at night. We got sun burned. Living in Vegas we are usto hot sun but not a sun so close like up on the mountain. This camp site and a few others had no shade. We had to go buy a canape to seek shelter from the sun. And when we did that we wanted to set it up in this one spot that was shady most of the day but there was a large pile of dry dead tree branches which was disheartening because fire level is at extreme. I'm not sure if we truly were allowed but the campsite host allowed small fires and was also selling fire wood. So we cleaned up and moved all the branches away from the area. Nothing like manual labor on vacation! I spotted a few other piles around our side of the compound. Camp site # 14 is along the road just a FYI. You can see the cars and trucks go by with out a guardrail but quite at night. Overall a nice peaceful place thank you!
